Rashad Jennings
News
Giants running back Rashad Jennings totaled a team-high 64 rushing yards Week 2 against the Cardinals. Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly enough in a 25-14 loss.

In fact, Jennings' biggest play Sunday wasn't even positive. With New York trailing 22-14, the Giants were putting together a pretty good drive in the fourth quarter and were deep in Cardinals' territory when quarterback Eli Manning hit Jennings for a short pass. However, Jennings slipped after a 2-yard gain and coughed up the football as he hit the ground. Arizona recovered the fumble.

Jennings' longest carry went for 13 yards. He had four catches for 45 yards. The Giants are back in action Week 3 against the Texans.

Andre Williams
News
Giants rookie running back Andre Williams rushed for 12 yards on eight carries during a Week 2 loss against the Cardinals. He added two catches for 7 yards.

Williams has rushed for 21 yards on 13 carries (1.6 yards per carry) through his first two NFL games. The Giants are back in action Week 3 against the Texans.

Dan Fox
News
The Giants announced Tuesday they placed cornerback Walter Thurmond (pectoral) and wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan (foot) on season-ending injured reserve.

Thurmond had surgery Tuesday for a torn pectoral muscle and will need 3-4 months recovery. Jernigan has a mid-foot sprain, but he will not need surgery. There is no timetable for his recovery.

The Giants filled the openings on the roster by promoting wide receiver Julian Talley and linebacker Dan Fox from the practice squad.

Josh Brown
News
Giants kicker Josh Brown got very little work again Week 2 vs. Arizona, as he attempted no field goals for a second straight game during a 25-14 loss. He did make both of his extra points in the loss.

Brown has four points through two games. The Giants are back in action Week 3 vs. Houston.

Mathias Kiwanuka
News
The Giants restructured defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka's contract to create approximately $2 million worth of cap space on Monday, according to the USA Today.

Kiwanuka had 45 tackles, six sacks and two forced fumbles last season with the Giants.
Kerry Wynn
News
Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham (hamstring), linebacker Devon Kennard (hamstring), defensive tackle Markus Kuhn (ankle), tackle James Brewer (back), offensive lineman Adam Snyder, tackle Charles Brown and defensive end Kerry Wynn were all ruled inactive Week 2 vs. Arizona.
Mario Manningham
News
The Giants have placed wide receiver Mario Manningham and Trindon Holliday on injured reserve, per Yahoo! Sports.

Manningham has been dealing with ongoing knee problems that limited him to six games, including three starts, in 2013. Holliday, who doubles as a kick returner, missed most of the preseason with a hamstring injury.

Injury
Calf - IR. Out for season
Markus Kuhn
News
Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham (hamstring), linebacker Devon Kennard (hamstring), defensive tackle Markus Kuhn (ankle), tackle James Brewer (back), offensive lineman Adam Snyder, tackle Charles Brown and defensive end Kerry Wynn were all ruled inactive Week 2 vs. Arizona.
Injury
Ankle - Missed Week 2 vs. Arizona
Rueben Randle
News
Giants wide receiver Rueben Randle notched his 10th career receiving touchdown and recorded a touchdown for the first time in eight games during a 25-14 loss Week 2 vs. Arizona.

Randle ended his touchdown slump when he outleaped Patrick Peterson for a 7-yard touchdown near the sideline in the end zone with 37 seconds left in the first half. It was an impressive catch, as Randle tipped the football to himself and completed the play by grabbing the football with one hand and securing it against his chest.

Randle finished with four catches for 39 yards. He was targeted seven times. The Giants are back in action Week 3 vs. Houston.

Cooper Taylor
News
According to ESPN, the following players are not expected to dress for the Giants Friday night against the Jets: Odell Beckham, Prince Amukamara, Charles Brown, Jayron Hosley, Trindon Holliday, James Brewer, Peyton Hillis, Xavier Grimble, Jon Beason and Cooper Taylor.
Injury
Toe - IR. Out for season
Larry Donnell
News
Giants tight end Larry Donnell did a good job Week 2 against the Cardinals showing his Week 1 breakout performance wasn't a fluke. After totaling five catches for 56 yards and one touchdown in the season opener, Donnell came back Week 2 to total seven catches for 81 yards -- both team highs.

Donnell came alive for the Giants' offense after halftime, as he managed just two catches for 22 yards in the first half. Donnell, who was targeted nine times, has totaled 12 catches for 137 yards and one touchdown through two games.

The Giants are back in action Week 3 vs. Houston.

Stevie Brown
News
Giants safety Stevie Brown had an eventful night in a Week 1 loss to the Lions at Ford Field. Brown was picked on often by Matthew Stafford, and a result he finished with a team-high nine total tackles (six solo) in a 35-14 defeat.
James Brewer
News
The Giants have four players listed as out for Week 2 against the Cardinals, and none of them come as much of a surprise.

The team ruled out wide receiver Odell Beckham (hamstring), linebacker Devon Kennard (hamstring), defensive lineman Markus Kuhn (ankle) and offensive lineman James Brewer (back) on Friday's official injury report as a result of their injuries, which kept each out throughout the week in practice.

Eric Herman
News
Two Giants serving four-game suspensions for violating the league's substance abuse policy are expected to be reinstated once the NFL's new drug policy is approved, reports The Star-Ledger. Cornerback Jayron Hosley and offensive lineman Eric Herman would be able to play Week 3 against the Texans, the report said.
Victor Cruz
News
Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz had more of an impact on offense Week 2 against the Cardinals after a disappointing two-catch, 24-yard outing in the season opener. However, he still left some plays on the field during a 25-14 loss Sunday.

Cruz was pretty non-existent in the passing game early Week 2. His first intended pass on the opening drive was intercepted, and he didn't get his first catch until there was less than 4 minutes left in the second half. But he would have three catches on his team's final drive before halftime.

Cruz was targeted a team-high 10 times Sunday, included six in the second half. He was even targeted on a 26-yard pass into the end zone, but he didn't get a chance to make the play as Patrick Peterson was called for pass interference, which set up a 1-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Fells.

Unfortunately, Cruz had three unofficial drops in the second half, which could have resulted in three first-down catches had he made the plays. He finished with five catches for 60 yards, which included a long reception of 27 yards.

Cruz's scoreless streak has reached 12 games dating back to last season. The Giants are back in action Week 3 against Houston.

Corey Washington
News
Giants rookie receiver Corey Washington was summoned into Week 1 against the Lions as a red zone threat. Washington was unable to come down with a fade pass in from Eli Manning in the corner of the end zone in the second quarter. It was his only target of the night in a 35-14 loss.
Jerome Cunningham
News
The Giants waived or released kicker Brandon McManus, tight end Jerome Cunningham, defensive backs Charles James and Ross Weaver, defensive end Emmanuel Dieke, linebackers Spencer Adkins and Justin Anderson, and safety Kyle Sebetic.

The Giants also waived rookie tight end Xavier Grimble (hamstring) with an injury designation.

Jason Pierre-Paul
News
Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is expected to be on the field for the team's first weekly practice Wednesday, ESPN.com reports.

"I'm sure we'll monitor it, but he really felt good after the game, and this morning as well," head coach Tom Coughlin said Tuesday. "We'll list him as limited, but I think the fact that he came back and played and played with good energy, finished the game, didn't seem to have any issues, I think that's a good sign."

Pierre-Paul left Monday's game with an injury to the neck/shoulder area but was able to return, finishing the game with four tackles.

Jayron Hosley
Injury
Suspension - 4-game suspension. Eligible to return Week 5 vs. Atlanta
Adrien Robinson
News
Giants coach Tom Coughlin said the team will use several tight ends. None of the contenders for the starting job -- Larry Donnell, Adrien Robinson, Kellen Davis and Daniel Fells -- separated himself.

"That is not necessarily what the plan was," Coughlin said. "But the plan has evolved to that, where people can be utilized for their skills in different ways."

Johnathan Hankins
News
Giants defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins is poised for a breakout season in his second year, according to the team's website. With Linval Joseph's departure, Hankins will play a lot more and "provide upper-echelon play at defensive tackle down in and down out," the website said.

A second-round pick out of Ohio State, Hankins played in 11 games last year, making 16 tackles.

Injury

Daniel Fells
News
Giants veteran tight end Daniel Fells recorded his ninth career touchdown and first since 2011 with the Broncos during a 25-14 loss Week 2 against the Cardinals.

Fells' only catch and target came on a 1-yard touchdown reception with 2:03 left in the third quarter, which put New York ahead 14-10.

The Giants are back in action Week 3 against the Texans.

Eli Manning
News
Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw a pair of touchdowns Sunday against the Cardinals, but New York couldn't overcome four turnovers -- including two Manning interceptions -- in a 25-14 loss Week 2.

Manning got off to a pretty poor start Sunday, as he threw an interception on his fifth passing attempt. Though, Manning did a good job of bouncing back from the interception, as by halftime he had a 100.9 quarterback rating. He completed 12 of 14 passes for 135 yards by halftime, which included a 7-yard touchdown pass to Rueben Randle right before the break.

Manning put New York ahead 14-10 with a 1-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Fells with 2:03 left in the third quarter, but that's when it fell apart for New York. The Giants would turn the ball over three times in the fourth quarter and unofficially had five drops in the second half, including three from star receiver Victor Cruz.

Manning completed 26 of 39 passes for 277 yards in the loss. He rushed for 5 yards and was sacked two times. The Giants are back in action Week 3 vs. Houston.

The Chiefs have also placed Tyler Bray and Kyle Williams on IR and Mike Catapano on the non-football injury list.

Ryan Nassib
News
Second-year pro Ryan Nassib is firmly entrenched as the Giants' backup quarterback, reports The Star-Ledger. Nassib has picked up the new offensive system quickly, the paper said.

"Really smart," Danny Langsdorf, the team's new quarterbacks coach, told the paper. "I think he’s done a great job, especially in our no-huddle periods of just being able to get guys lined up, whether we’re in a two-minute situation or whatever situation we’ve been in he’s done a great job of just getting us in a correct formation, getting us lined up.

"He’s just got to keep working on executing, whether it’s a throw or timing with the receivers, he’s just got to continue to work with those guys but he’s been very good to this point in terms of studying and learning."

Cullen Jenkins
News
The Giants have three players listed on the injury report for Week 2 who are expected to play through their injuries in Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Linebacker Jon Beason (foot) and defensive linemen Cullen Jenkins (hip) and Jason Pierre-Paul (neck) are all probable for Week 2, after getting through Friday's practice.

News
Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara had a productive performance Week 1 against the Lions at Ford Field. Amukamara batted a pass intended for Joseph Fauria in the end zone in the third quarter. He registered eight total tackles (four solo) and defended two passes in a 35-14 defeat.
Weston Richburg
News
Giants rookie Weston Richburg, a second-round pick from Colorado State, is expected to step in for injured left guard Geoff Schwartz, reports the New York Post. Schwartz dislocated his toe in Friday's game and will be out anywhere from 4-6 weeks to the entire season, the paper said.

Moore barely made an impact as a rookie, finishing with 11 tackles and a forced fumble in 15 games.

The report called Moore "a high-energy athlete capable of making plays" but noted he "still made far too many mistakes in practice, even late in the year."
