Schofield played in 15 games last season for the Super Bowl champs, starting twice.

Garrett Scott
News
The Seahawks waived sixth-round pick Garrett Scott, an offensive tackle from Marshall, due to a heart ailment that prevented him from passing his physical. Scott won't have to return his signing bonus of about $100,000.

Seattle is the first team to release a 2014 draft pick.

K.J. Wright
News
Two Seahawks standouts were red-lighted from Friday practice, but are considered probable for the Super Bowl. Wide receiver Doug Baldwin (hip) and featured back Marshawn Lynch (knee) were both held out. Also out were cornerback Byron Maxwell (neck) and linebacker K.J. Wright (foot)

Defensive tackle Brandon Mebane (ankle) was limited.

Ricardo Lockette
News
Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette has gone from the roster bubble to a big-play threat, reports ESPN.com. He made a 39-yard touchdown catch in the overtime win over the Broncos, and had a 33-yard scoring grab in the opener against the Packers.

"He's made so much improvement," coach Pete Carroll said. "It's just been a long, long road to get to here. He's learned from everything that's gone on. He's matured so much in terms of how he applies himself."

Carroll noted Lockette has extraordinary speed. He's clocked a 4.3 forty. "He's got great football speed and he's real tough," Carroll said.

For the season, Lockette has three catches for 77 yards and two scores.

Baldwin came down with a pair of catches for 14 yards in the second quarter. He also came down with 16-yard and a 12-yard reception before halftime and was held without a grab the rest of the way. He finished with four catches for a team-high 56 yards, averaging 14.0 yards per grab in a 26-20 overtime win.

Seattle is on a bye before returning to action in Week 5 at Washington.

News
The Seahawks made several roster moves to get down to Tuesday's 75-player limit. They waived defensive tackle Michael Brooks, receiver David Gilreath and linebacker Horace Miller with injury designations.

Seattle also put linebacker Heath Farwell, cornerback A.J. Jefferson and guard C.J. Davis on injured reserve. Cornerback Eric Pinkins was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list.

Injury
Michael Bennett
News
The Seahawks re-signed defensive end Michael Bennett to a four-year, $34 million contract, reports Pro Football Talk. Bennett will receive $16 million guaranteed.

Bennett had 10 sacks in the regular season and playoffs last year for the Super Bowl champs. Seattle edged out the Bears to retain him.

Cassius Marsh
News
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Thursday defensive end Cassius Marsh is expected to be ready for Friday's preseason game against the Chargers. Marsh took part in Wednesday's practice after hurting his knee Tuesday.
Jordan Hill
News
The Seahawks declared receiver Bryan Walters, running back Christine Michael, offensive tackles Michael Bowie and Caylin Hauptmann, tight end Kellen Davis, defensive end Benson Mayowa and defensive tackle Jordan Hill inactive for the Super Bowl. All are healthy scratches.
Cliff Avril
News
Without blitzing, the Seahawks made Peyton Manning uncomfortable in the pocket. Defensive end Cliff Avril led the way with five quarterback hurries and two hits on his 32 pass rushing snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.

End Chris Clemons had three hurries, a sack and a hit, and lineman Michael Bennett added four hurries.

Robert Turbin
News
The Seahawks received contributions from several role players in a Week 3 overtime win over the Broncos.

Robert Turbin was limited to only two carries for one yard. He caught his only target for a 4-yard gain. Bryan Walters had two catches for 22 yards, while Zach Miller caught two passes for 12 yards. Derrick Coleman and Paul Richardson were each limited to one grab. Coleman had 12 receiving yards, while Richardson finished with seven.

Tarvaris Jackson
News
Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said the backup quarterback battle between Tarvaris Jackson and Terrelle Pryor won't be decided for a while, reports the Seattle Times. "We will kind of just let it go for the next three weeks and see what happens," Bevell said.

Pryor went 9 of 16 for 137 yards with an interception and ran for 28 yards in the preseason opener. Jackson, last year's backup, hit 5 of 7 throws for 47 yards.

Heath Farwell

Richard Sherman
News
Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman said his $57 million contract extension won't change the way he approaches the game. He still has a chip on his shoulder from being drafted in the fifth round, after 23 other defensive backs, reports The News Tribune.

"I’m still the guy scrapping for a spot," Sherman said. "You never lose that mentality. You can take a ragged dog that’s been on the streets for 10 years and put him in a new house with steak, lobster every night and he’s still the raggedy dog you got off the street.

"I’m still the raggedy dog off the street. That mentality isn’t something I could change, I don’t think, even if I wanted to. Even if wanted to be, ‘Yeah, I’m a millionaire.’ I can’t do it. It’s not a switch that I have. I’ve been in this mentality. I don’t know anything else. This is how I’m going to be until I hang the cleats up. Then, I might try to eat caviar and drink wine, or whatever they do."

Marcus Burley
News
Seahawks cornerback Marcus Burley, who was recently acquired from the Colts, is expected to fill the void for the Jeremy Lane (groin) at nickel corner, the Seattle Times reports. Burley played 25 snaps Week 1 against Green Bay after Lane went down with the injury.

"He did well," head coach Pete Carroll said. "He did a good job. He had a really good challenge route down the field and did a nice job the one time (Randall) Cobb got up on him and knocked the ball away — it was a beautiful play. He's looked really solid in practice and we really liked the kid coming in and he did a fantastic job of being ready to play in that game down the stretch and so we are really pleased. He will play for Jeremy at this time — we have no other alternatives that we think of at this point. But we are real happy with what he did."
Steven Terrell
News
The Seattle Seahawks waived the following players Saturday: QB Terrelle Pryor, OT Eric Winston, CB Phillip Adams, DE Benson Mayowa, TE Rashaun Allen, CB Akeem Auguste, RB Demitrius Bronson, WR Arceto Clark, QB B.J. Daniels, OL Caylin Hauptmann, OL Nate Isles, OL Patrick Lewis, WR Chris Matthews, S Terrance Parks, TE Morrell Presley, DT Andru Pulu, FB Kiero Small, DT Jimmy Staten, S Steven Terrell, LB Korey Toomer, WR Bryan Walters and RB Spencer Ware.
Kevin Williams
News
The Seahawks have reached agreement with defensive tackle Kevin Williams on a one-year contract, reports ESPN.

Williams, a six-time Pro Bowl player and former defensive captain with the Vikings, will make in excess of $2 million, according to league sources. He will be entering his 12th season in the NFL, having spent his entire career until now with the Vikings.

Williams started 15 games last season for the Vikings with 3.5 sacks and an interception.

Steven Hauschka
News
Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka racked up eight points in an overtime win over the Broncos in Week 3.

Hauschka drilled a 20-yard field goal on the opening drive for Seattle. He missed a 46-yard shot in the third quarter, but bounced back with a 28-yard kick in the fourth. He converted 2 of 3 field goal attempts and added two extra points in a 26-20 victory.

Rashaun Allen
News
The Seattle Seahawks waived the following players Saturday: QB Terrelle Pryor, OT Eric Winston, CB Phillip Adams, DE Benson Mayowa, TE Rashaun Allen, CB Akeem Auguste, RB Demitrius Bronson, WR Arceto Clark, QB B.J. Daniels, OL Caylin Hauptmann, OL Nate Isles, OL Patrick Lewis, WR Chris Matthews, S Terrance Parks, TE Morrell Presley, DT Andru Pulu, FB Kiero Small, DT Jimmy Staten, S Steven Terrell, LB Korey Toomer, WR Bryan Walters and RB Spencer Ware.
Jermaine Kearse
News
Seahawks wide receiver Jermaine Kearse showed off his arm in Week 3 against the Broncos.

Kearse took a reverse and tossed a 17-yard pass back to Russell Wilson, who got stopped just shy of the end zone in the first quarter. However, he wasn't much of a factor on Sunday, catching all two of his targets after halftime. He finished the game with 22 yards on two receptions in a 26-20 overtime win.

Greg Scruggs
News
The following players were ruled inactive for the Seahawks in Week 3 against Denver: Bruce Irvin, Tharold Simon, Christine Michael, Andrew McDonald, Garry Gilliam, Kevin Norwood and Greg Scruggs.
Marshawn Lynch
News
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch came through in the clutch for his team, scoring the game-ending touchdown in overtime against the Broncos in Week 3.

Lynch finished 2013 with two receiving touchdowns. He matched last year's total, catching his second touchdown of the season, a 5-yard grab late in the second quarter. He ripped a 6-yard touchdown run in overtime, securing a 26-20 victory.

Lynch took 26 handoffs for 88 yards and a touchdown, averaging 3.4 yards per carry. He was targeted five times and finished with three catches for 40 yards and a score. He has 234 yards and three touchdowns on the ground this season.

Seattle has a bye before returning for a Week 5 matchup at Washington.

Russell Okung
News
Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung returned to action after sustaining a shoulder injury late in the first half against the Broncos in Week 3. Okung was sent to the locker room for tests, but returned to the field for the team's first offensive drive in the third quarter.
Garry Gilliam
News
The following players were ruled inactive for the Seahawks in Week 3 against Denver: Bruce Irvin, Tharold Simon, Christine Michael, Andrew McDonald, Garry Gilliam, Kevin Norwood and Greg Scruggs.
Percy Harvin
News
The Seahawks have enjoyed dabbling in all Percy Harvin has to offer after having him for only three games, playoffs included, because of a long recovery from hip surgery last year.

But the problem is they've only dabbled. They've slung it to him on the outside, giving him a chance to show off his moves against defensive backs. They've found cute ways to hand the ball off to him and watch him pick up a dozen yards here and there. What they haven't done is just play pitch and catch with him. And three games in, I'm beginning to wonder if they will

It's a problem because while enough plays are designed for Harvin to give him a decent number of receptions each week, his production in standard Fantasy leagues hinges on him scoring a touchdown. As sort of a glorified change-of-pace running back playing only two-thirds of the Seahawks' snaps, the yardage just isn't there for him.

And that wasn't the case with the Vikings. He got a chance to average more than 6-7 yards a catch -- and with more catches on top of it.

Maybe the Seahawks are just taking it easy with him given his injury history, but until that changes, I'm only starting him in PPR leagues.

Malcolm Smith
News
Seahawks linebackers Malcolm Smith and Korey Toomer were back in pads in practice Monday but did not participate in team drills, the Seattle Times reports.

Smith has been out since before OTAs while recovering from ankle surgery. Toomer has been sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Andrew McDonald
News
The following players were ruled inactive for the Seahawks in Week 3 against Denver: Bruce Irvin, Tharold Simon, Christine Michael, Andrew McDonald, Garry Gilliam, Kevin Norwood and Greg Scruggs.
Stephen Schilling
News
The Seahawks have signed guard Stephen Schilling, reports the Everett Herald. Schilling spent the first three seasons of his career with the Chargers.
Cooper Helfet
News
The following players on the injury report were ruled active for the Seahawks in Week 3 against Denver: Kam Chancellor (ankle), Cooper Helfet (knee), Marshawn Lynch (back), Zach Miller (ankle), Mike Morgan (hip) and Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring).
Christine Michael
News
The following players were ruled inactive for the Seahawks in Week 3 against Denver: Bruce Irvin, Tharold Simon, Christine Michael, Andrew McDonald, Garry Gilliam, Kevin Norwood and Greg Scruggs.
Injury
Hamstring - Missed Week 3 vs. Denver
Kevin Norwood
News
The following players were ruled inactive for the Seahawks in Week 3 against Denver: Bruce Irvin, Tharold Simon, Christine Michael, Andrew McDonald, Garry Gilliam, Kevin Norwood and Greg Scruggs.
Russell Wilson
News
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson found the end zone twice and did just enough to manage an overtime victory over the Broncos at home in Week 3.

Wilson fired a 39-yard touchdown pass to Ricardo Lockette and found Marshawn Lynch for a 5-yard strike -- all in the second quarter. He was picked off by Chris Harris in the fourth quarter for his only blemish of the afternoon. He bounced back and led his team to a 13-play, 80-yard drive which resulted in a game-winning touchdown run from Lynch in overtime.

Wilson completed 24 of 34 passes for 258 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. He was sacked three times. He rushed for 40 yards on nine carries.

Seattle is on a bye before returning to action in Week 5 at Washington.

Zach Miller
News
The Seahawks believe tight end Zach Miller will miss only two games after undergoing ankle surgery during the team's bye in Week 4, according to ESPN.
Injury
Ankle - Out for Week 5 at Washington
Jeron Johnson
News
Seahawks defensive back Jeron Johnson was forced out of Friday's preseason game against the Bears with a foot injury. He left the game in the second half and taken back to the locker room for further evaluation, ruling him out for the remainder of the game.
Jon Ryan
News
Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka and punter Jon Ryan have been to MetLife to practice.

Both players need to be aware of the field conditions, which is why they've already practiced at the stadium. There's some concern that the weather won't be ideal on Sunday, so it's important both players know what they are facing.

Justin Britt
News
With Breno Giacomini having left the Seahawks for the Jets, Seattle will have a training camp competition at right tackle. Michael Bowie and rookie Justin Britt are the top candidates for the job.

The Seattle Times gives Bowie the edge because he started nine games last year, including at guard in the playoff win over the Saints. Still, the paper suggests Seattle might use a rotation at right tackle, akin to what it did at left guard last year.

Luke Willson
News
The Seahawks will turn to Luke Willson to start at tight end in the coming weeks, with Zach Miller sidelined by ankle surgery. Should Fantasy owners take notice?

Miller had logged 83.5 percent of the team's snaps through three games, so Willson should be in line for a much larger role as the starter. Of course, Miller was nearly a nonfactor in the passing game so far, having been targeted just seven times. Between he and Willson, quarterback Russell Wilson has targeted tight ends just eight times on 87 attempts, after 20.6 percent of his passes went their way a year ago.

Willson might be the better pass catcher of the Seahawks tight end tandem, but we don't have much to go on here. There are better tight end options worth targeting on waivers, at least until Willson proves himself.

Terrance Parks
News
The Seahawks signed offensive tackle Andrew McDonald off Carolina's practice squad. Seattle also added guard Nate Isles and safety Terrance Parks to its practice squad while releasing guard David Arkin and safety Josh Aubrey from the squad.
Eric Pinkins

Injury
Undisclosed - NFI. Doubtful for start of regular season
Tony McDaniel
News
Seahawks defensive tackle Tony McDaniel will replace Red Bryant as the "five technique" after playing the "three technique" last year, reports The News Tribune. The five technique lines up on the outside shoulder of a tackle, while the three technique lines up on the outside shoulder of a guard.

McDaniel often played outside during his four seasons with the Dolphins.

"A lot of people probably don’t know much about me and that I played there before," McDaniel told the paper. "I’ve got the body type — 6-7, 320. I definitely fit the body type to play end. It wasn’t a big deal to move out there."

McDaniel re-signed with Seattle for two years at $5.75 million, while Bryant left for the Jaguars. McDaniel had 53 tackles and two sacks in 15 starts last year.

James Carpenter
News
Seahawks general manager John Schneider said Wednesday the team still has not decided whether it will exercise the 2015 option on guard James Carpenter, reports The News Tribune. The fifth-year option would be worth over $7 million.

Seattle must decide by Saturday.

Paul Richardson

Jeremy Lane
News
Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane apparently suffered a serious injury during Thursday's season opener against the Packers, according to head coach Pete Carroll during Friday's press conference.

Lane will be "down for a long time" as a result of the injury, though further details are not yet known at this point. He exited Thursday's game during the third quarter, after aggravating a pre-existing injury.
