I have given every ounce of my energy toward making a full recovery from my knee injury, and I have made a lot of progress. Unfortunately, getting my knee fully back to the level the NFL demands has proven to be insurmountable."

Both Brock and Willis were listed as questionable to play on Friday's final injury report due to toe injuries, and the 49ers defense wil have to survive without both. Joe Looney
News
49ers guard Joe Looney is working with the first team while Alex Boone holds out for a better contract. According to CSNBayArea.com, Looney's performance could affect how the team handles Boone's holdout.

"I’m approaching training camp as a time to compete and get better, and I want to show the coaches I’m getting better every day," Looney said. "Alex Boone is a hell of a player and a hell of a guy, and him being gone is his business. But watching him on film every day, I want to come in and do a hell of a job like he does."

Coach Jim Harbaugh praised Looney's performance so far.

Replacement Joe Looney and the rest of the offensive line played well in Boone's absence as San Fran averaged 5.1 yards per carry and allowed one sack.

Colin Kaepernick
News
49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's running game has disappeared and with it, much of his Fantasy value.

Kaepernick put together another pedestrian Fantasy performance in Week 12, as he finished with 15 points in the win over Washington. He has just 15 or fewer points in each of the team's last five games, and that has coincided, expectedly, with a dip hin his production as a rusher.

Through his first six games, Kaepernick was averaging 40.3 rushing yards and 21 Fantasy points per game, numbers that have tumbled to 18.8 and 14.2, respectively over the last five. He has a tough matchup on the way in Week 13, against a Seahawks defense that limited him to just 19 combined Fantasy points last season, so look for other options.
