Mason Brodine
News
The Rams signed receiver Emory Blake, defensive end Mason Brodine, tight end Justice Cunningham, offensive tackle Sean Hooey and cornerback Darren Woodard to reserve/futures contracts.
Rodger Saffold
News
After failing a physical and having his contract voided with the Raiders, free-agent offensive lineman Rodger Saffold ended up where he started, signing a five-year contract with the Rams Thursday.

The deal will be worth $31.7 million, more than $10 million less than he would have made with the Raiders. His contract eventually voided due to concerns about a shoulder injury that will require surgery at some point. He is still receiving $19.5 million guaranteed from the Rams, who are not concerned about the injury, according to USA Today.

"We have a shoulder specialist who said he's 100% fine," Saffold's agent Alan Herman said. "And we have the Rams, who passed him on his exit physical and then provided a significant amount of guaranteed money to prove they were fine with it."

Tavon Austin
News
Rams coach Jeff Fisher displayed no concern about receiver/returner Tavon Austin falling short of expectations as a rookie, reports ESPN.com. Fisher expressed confidence Austin will take a big step forward in 2014.

“We’re not disappointed in what his production was last year at all," Fisher said. "One of the things that was misleading was he had two or three returns called back -- one against Dallas --and then he got hurt. I think another year in the program, in the offense, OTAs, training camp, you’ll see more production. I think we’ll do a better job of using him now that we know what he’s capable of doing. Kind of looking forward to see him improve from year one to year two."

Graham Pocic
News
The Rams announced Monday they waived 11 players. They were kicker/punter Brett Baer, wide receiver Demetrius Fields, wide receiver Andrew Helmick, long snapper Jorgen Hus, quarterback Tim Jenkins, defensive tackle Al Lapuaho, linebacker Joseph LeBeau, tight end Colby Prince, wide receiver Raymond Radway and cornerback Robert Steeples.

In addition, offensive lineman Graham Pocic was waived/injured.

Shaun Hill
News
Free agent quarterback Shaun Hill agreed to a one-year deal with the Rams, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Hill backed up Matthew Stafford with the Lions the past four years.
Barrett Jones
News
The Rams have listed the following players as inactive for Week 13 at San Francisco: offensive lineman Barrett Jones, offensive lineman Mike Person, defensive end Gerald Rivers, running back Daryl Richardson, defensive tackle Jermelle Cudjo, linebacker Daren Bates and guard Harvey Dahl.
Benny Cunningham

The Rams got a few minor contributions in their Week 17 loss at Seattle. Receiver Austin Pettis caught both his targets for 15 yards and running back Benny Cunningham had a 2-yard reception.

Wideout Chris Givens was targeted four times without a catch. He ran once for minus-4 yards. Receiver Brian Quick was unable to secure his lone target.

Chase Reynolds
News
Rams defensive back Cortland Finnegan (eye), defensive back Matt Giordano (thigh), running back Chase Reynolds (knee) and defensive back Darian Stewart (foot), who were all listed on Friday's injury report, are active for Week 12 against Chicago.
Cory Harkey
News
The Rams tight end duo of Cory Harkey and Lance Kendricks caught only five passes against New Orleans on Sunday. Yet they sure made the most of them.

Harkey actually recorded career-highs with three catches and 29 yards while Kendricks added two receptions for 13 yards. But they both scored touchdowns in the upset of the Saints.

The former tallied on a 31-yard pass just four minutes into the game to give his team a lead it never relinquished. Kendricks followed suit with a 4-yard score less than nine minutes later.

The pair will try to maintain momentum when the Rams host Tampa Bay in Week 16.

Zac Stacy
News
Rams coach Jeff Fisher said running back Zac Stacy can be a workhorse. "I think over time, he'll probably be that 70-percent of the carries guy," Fisher said at the NFL owners meetings.

Stacy ran 250 times for 973 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games as a rookie. He figures to approach 300 carries this season.

Mike Person

Sam Bradford
News
CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora floated the idea of the Rams trading quarterback Sam Bradford to several NFL executives, all of whom believe the team could get "a strong return" for him in trade.

La Canfora made it clear he's not reporting the Rams are trying to get something for Bradford, but that he's speculating that they could. The Rams have previously said they're committing to Bradford for this season. Bradford is coming off of a torn ACL.

Janoris Jenkins
News
Rams linebacker Will Witherspoon (illness) and defensive back Janoris Jenkins (back) were listed as probable for Week 16 against the Buccaneers, so it comes as no surprise that they are active for Sunday's game.
Harvey Dahl
News
As expected, the Rams released guard Harvey Dahl, saving $4 million in cap room, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Kenny Britt
News
The addition of receiver Kenny Britt was a "smart gamble" for the Rams because he's getting little guaranteed money on a one-year deal and should be motivated to earn a bigger contract, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Britt enjoyed his best seasons in Tennessee when Rams coach Jeff Fisher was coaching the Titans. "That positive history can only help," the report said.

Britt's arrival also puts pressure on Chris Givens and Brian Quick to raise their games or risk losing snaps on the outside, the report said.

Trumaine Johnson
News
The following injured Rams were ruled active for Sunday's showdown at San Francisco in Week 13: linebacker Will Witherspoon, defensive lineman Eugene Sims, defensive back Brandon McGee, defensive back T.J. McDonald and defensive back Trumaine Johnson.

Cook drew a team-high seven targets, one more than Kendricks. Cook caught a 2-yard score late in the fourth quarter, giving him five touchdowns. Chris Givens
News
Chris Givens led Rams wideouts with just 569 receiving yards, but general manager Les Snead doesn't think the team needs to upgrade at the position. “I think our receivers right now, I truly believe as they progress … we cannot have another receiver around here, and we’re going to be a good football team," Snead told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Rookie Tavon Austin led the wideouts with 40 catches, two more than Austin Pettis and six more than Givens.

Quinton Pointer
News
The Rams ruled receiver Tavon Austin (ankle), guard Harvey Dahl, offensive tackle Mike Person, defensive end Sammy Brown, running back Daryl Richardson (thigh), cornerback Quinton Pointer and defensive tackle Matt Conrath inactive for the game at Seattle.
Jo-Lonn Dunbar
News
Free-agent linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar struggled through a disappointing season in 2013, playing in just 12 games following a suspension for performance enhancing drugs. The Rams still felt strongly enough about the six-year pro to bring him back on a two-year deal worth up to $3.5 million, according to NFL.com Thursday.

Coming off the first 100-tackle season of his career, Dunbar struggled to produce after returning from suspension. He finished with 39 tackles and no sacks or interceptions in 12 games.

News
Rams defensive end Chris Long (thigh) and safety T.J. McDonald (illness) are active at Seattle after being listed on the injury report. Long was probable, McDonald questionable.
Alec Ogletree
News
With the Rams hiring Gregg Williams as defensive coordinator, the team likely will blitz more on third down, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. That could mean more "pass-rush sorties" by linebacker Alec Ogletree, the report said.

Ogletree had 1.5 sacks during a fine rookie year in which he recorded 118 tackles, nine passes defensed, six forced fumbles and an interception.

Eugene Sims
News

All four players were listed as probable entering the game. Both Bates and Long were able to pass concussion protocal during the week.

Isaiah Pead
News
The Rams listed seven players as inactive for Monday's game against Seattle: quarterback Brady Quinn, running backs Isaiah Pead and Benny Cunningham (ankle), offensive linemen Barrett Jones and Mike Person, defensive tackle Matt Conrath and defensive end Gerald Rivers.

Pead is a healthy scratch and hasn't gotten a carry since Week 3.

Long suffered the injury Dec. 22 against the Buccaneers.

Brandon Washington
News
Among the Rams inactive list for Week 16 are two offensive players who are sidelined by injuries. Wide receiver Tavon Austin (ankle) and running back Daryl Richardson (thigh) headline the team's inactive list, as unveiled prior to kickoff Sunday against the Buccaneers.

Additionally, offensive linemen Harvey Dahl, Mike Person (illness) and Brandon Washington, defensive lineman Matt Conrath and defensive back Quinton Pointer are all out of uniform for Sunday's game.

Daryl Richardson
News
Daryl Richardson entered the 2013 season as the Rams featured back, but a toe injury and the emergence of Zac Stacy in that role made his year a disappointment.

General manager Les Snead sees no reason why Richardson can't put himself back into the backfield picture, however, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

"We've all seen what he can do," Snead said. "...What you like about the whole thing is as you bring in more players, as we all grow here, there's more competition. We're all better when we have competition. Daryl's the type of person, I do know this, when he was inactive he didn't like that. You do like the fact that he didn't like that."

Richardson finished 2013 with 215 yards rushing and an average of 3.1 yards per carry. That constitutes a significant drop from 2012, when his YPC was at 4.8.

Brian Quick
News
The Rams got a few minor contributions in their Week 17 loss at Seattle. Receiver Austin Pettis caught both his targets for 15 yards and running back Benny Cunningham had a 2-yard reception.

Robert Quinn
News
Rams defensive end Robert Quinn is relishing being a Pro Bowl captain.

Quinn and Drew Brees are the two captains of Team Rice. Quinn was honored by the opportunity, saying "there are just so many great players, and to be selected as [a captain], it’s a great honor." Quinn added that it's never a certainty a player will get back to the Pro Bowl, so being a captain on his first try is "breathtaking." Quinn has already said he won't let up even though the game doesn't matter.

Greg Zuerlein
News
Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein drilled a 36-yard field goal in the loss at Seattle, his 12th straight successful try. Zuerlein did not get to try a PAT in the 27-9 loss as St. Louis went for two points following its late touchdown.

Rookie Tavon Austin led the wideouts with 40 catches, two more than Austin Pettis and six more than Givens.
