Mason Brodine
News
The Rams signed receiver Emory Blake, defensive end Mason Brodine, tight end Justice Cunningham, offensive tackle Sean Hooey and cornerback Darren Woodard to reserve/futures contracts.
Rodger Saffold
News
After failing a physical and having his contract voided with the Raiders, free-agent offensive lineman Rodger Saffold ended up where he started, signing a five-year contract with the Rams Thursday.

The deal will be worth $31.7 million, more than $10 million less than he would have made with the Raiders. His contract eventually voided due to concerns about a shoulder injury that will require surgery at some point. He is still receiving $19.5 million guaranteed from the Rams, who are not concerned about the injury, according to USA Today.

"We have a shoulder specialist who said he's 100% fine," Saffold's agent Alan Herman said. "And we have the Rams, who passed him on his exit physical and then provided a significant amount of guaranteed money to prove they were fine with it."

Davin Joseph
News
New Rams guard Davin Joseph is 30 and coming off a disappointing season. A 2012 knee injury and a 2013 staph infection made him less effective than normal.

But the two-time Pro Bowler, who's not projected as a starter, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch he feels he's got "a lot left."

"I feel like I can contribute to this team," he said. "I don’t know how big or how small my role will be. But I feel like I can contribute. So if it’s just coming out here and really working to make the guys better, that’s my job. And I’ll do it the best that I can.

"My confidence is high. Sometimes you’re faced with challenges for a reason, right? So I’m pretty sure there’s a reason why I’ve had to go through what I’ve had to go through for the last couple years to get to this point today."

Tavon Austin
News
Rams receiver Tavon Austin admitted to the Associated Press that he didn't grasp the playbook as a rookie, especially early in the season. "I didn't really know what was going on," Austin said. "Everything looked like Spanish and sounded like Spanish to me."

The No. 8 overall pick from 2013 said he's comfortable with the system now.

"I understand the plays, the depth, the routes, the splits and everything," Austin said. "I just feel good that I can make some plays. Definitely, the game's slowed down for me."

Chase Reynolds
News
Rams defensive back Cortland Finnegan (eye), defensive back Matt Giordano (thigh), running back Chase Reynolds (knee) and defensive back Darian Stewart (foot), who were all listed on Friday's injury report, are active for Week 12 against Chicago.
Cory Harkey
News
The Rams tight end duo of Cory Harkey and Lance Kendricks caught only five passes against New Orleans on Sunday. Yet they sure made the most of them.

Harkey actually recorded career-highs with three catches and 29 yards while Kendricks added two receptions for 13 yards. But they both scored touchdowns in the upset of the Saints.

The former tallied on a 31-yard pass just four minutes into the game to give his team a lead it never relinquished. Kendricks followed suit with a 4-yard score less than nine minutes later.

The pair will try to maintain momentum when the Rams host Tampa Bay in Week 16.

Zac Stacy
News
Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said Tuesday that there was going to be competition for the starting running back job this summer, a surprise after Zac Stacy ran for 973 yards, caught 26 passes for 141 yards and totaled eight touchdowns in effectively 12 games.

"We're just going to let them all roll and see what happens," Schottenheimer said. "Zac's obviously a really, really good player, but we're going to create competition for all the guys. That's a long way off, but we know we have a good stable group of backs and they all have different skill sets, which we'll try to use throughout the course of the year."

Schottenheimer later clarified that everyone on offense will compete for their jobs, including Sam Bradford at quarterback. But that "I expect to see multiple guys carry the football."

Mike Person
News
The Rams ruled receiver Tavon Austin (ankle), guard Harvey Dahl, offensive tackle Mike Person, defensive end Sammy Brown, running back Daryl Richardson (thigh), cornerback Quinton Pointer and defensive tackle Matt Conrath inactive for the game at Seattle.

Sam Bradford
News
Rams coach Jeff Fisher said quarterback Sam Bradford (knee) will be "full-go" for the start of training camp, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

"Sam is in great shape," Fisher said. "He's ready to go. We don't have (reservations) — right now as we speak, as camp starts — he's full-go. If we need to back him down here and there, we'll back him down."

Fisher indicated Bradford may not play in the preseason opener against New Orleans. But if Bradford doesn't play vs. the Saints, Fisher said it won't be injury-related.

Daren Bates
News
Rams LB Daren Bates, G Harvey Dahl, T Jake Long and DE Eugene Sims are active Week 14.

All four players were listed as probable entering the game. Both Bates and Long were able to pass concussion protocal during the week.

Stedman Bailey
News
With Rams receiver Stedman Bailey suspended for the first four games, Austin Pettis has a better chance of making the roster, reports ESPN.com. However, Pettis still is no lock to make the team.

The Rams would clear $1.5 million in cap space by cutting Pettis, who caught 38 passes for 399 yards and four touchdowns last season.

Jorgen Hus
News
The Seahawks signed free agent long snapper Jorgen Hus to a three-year contract.
Janoris Jenkins
News
Rams linebacker Will Witherspoon (illness) and defensive back Janoris Jenkins (back) were listed as probable for Week 16 against the Buccaneers, so it comes as no surprise that they are active for Sunday's game.
Kenny Britt
News
Former Rams linebacker Will Witherspoon believes the team will reap major rewards from the signing of receiver Kenny Britt "I think the addition of Kenny Britt will be a huge boost for the Rams offense," Witherspoon told SiriusXM NFL Radio. "I expect him to blossom into a star."

Britt, 25, is trying to resurrect his career after making just 11 catches last season with Tennessee.

Trumaine Johnson
News
The following injured Rams were ruled active for Sunday's showdown at San Francisco in Week 13: linebacker Will Witherspoon, defensive lineman Eugene Sims, defensive back Brandon McGee, defensive back T.J. McDonald and defensive back Trumaine Johnson.
Jared Cook
News
Tight ends Lance Kendricks and Jared Cook were the Rams' most effective pass-catchers in the Week 17 loss at Seattle. Kendricks caught five passes for a team-high 54 yards, while Cook made five grabs for 30 yards and the team's only touchdown.

Cook drew a team-high seven targets, one more than Kendricks. Cook caught a 2-yard score late in the fourth quarter, giving him five touchdowns. He finishes the year with 51 catches for 671 yards, disappointing numbers given his huge contract. Kendricks had 32 receptions for 258 yards and four scores.

Aaron Donald
News
The Rams locked up their entire draft class Thursday as all 11 rookies were signed to contracts.

The complete list:

Round 1, pick 2: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn

Wilson and Demontre Hurst, tight ends Fendi Onobun and Zach Miller, quarterback Jerrod Johnson, linebacker Lawrence Wilson, offensive tackle Rogers Gaines, safety Sean Cattouse, wideout Terrence Toliver and defensive tackle Tracy Robertson.
Chris Givens
News
Rams receiver Chris Givens didn't use it as an excuse, but conceded a nagging ankle injury bothered him most of last season, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Givens had zero touchdown catches after an impressive rookie year in which he caught three scoring passes and produced a reception of 50 or more yards in five straight games.

"It’s been the longest offseason of my life,” Givens said at the start of the offseason conditioning program. "It’s just a constant reminder every day of what I didn’t accomplish — all because I got in my own way. So I’ve been waiting for this day for the longest (time)."

Jo-Lonn Dunbar
News
Free-agent linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar struggled through a disappointing season in 2013, playing in just 12 games following a suspension for performance enhancing drugs. The Rams still felt strongly enough about the six-year pro to bring him back on a two-year deal worth up to $3.5 million, according to NFL.com Thursday.

Coming off the first 100-tackle season of his career, Dunbar struggled to produce after returning from suspension. He finished with 39 tackles and no sacks or interceptions in 12 games.

R.J. Dill
News
The Patriots signed offensive lineman R.J. Mattes and linebacker Taylor Reed to their practice squad and released offensive lineman R.J. Dill from the squad.

Justice Cunningham
News
The Rams signed receiver Emory Blake, defensive end Mason Brodine, tight end Justice Cunningham, offensive tackle Sean Hooey and cornerback Darren Woodard to reserve/futures contracts.
T.J. McDonald
News
The Rams are expected to start T.J. McDonald at strong safety while drafting a free safety to play alongside him, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. McDonald missed six games with a broken leg as a rookie but finished strong, recording 52 tackles, four pass breakups, an interception and a sack.
Alec Ogletree
News
Rams linebacker Alec Ogletree "would seem to be an ideal fit for Gregg Williams’ attack-style defense," reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Ogletree had 117 tackles, six forced fumbles, an interception and 1.5 sacks as a rookie.

“It’s a lot of the same stuff we did last year, but it’s just a lot more aggressive,’’ Ogletree said.

Ogletree said he feels ready to take a step forward in Year 2.

"It’s like night and day,’’ he said. “When I first started last year, I was kind of nervous, trying to learn the position and to learn what I needed to do on the play. This year, I feel a lot more comfortable. I just feel like I’m able to go out there and just play and have fun."

Eugene Sims
News
Rams LB Daren Bates, G Harvey Dahl, T Jake Long and DE Eugene Sims are active Week 14.

All four players were listed as probable entering the game. Both Bates and Long were able to pass concussion protocal during the week.

Isaiah Pead
News
Rams running back Isaiah Pead's name was involved in some trade discussions during the weekend of the draft, Bleacher Report noted this week. Pead has seemingly fallen out of favor in St. Louis after Zac Stacy thrived as a rookie. The team also added running back Tre Mason in the draft.

Pead has 17 career carries for 75 yards and 14 catches for 94 total yards. He has yet to score and has only one NFL start since getting drafted in Round 2 of the 2012 draft.

Joe Barksdale
News
Rams defensive end William Hayes (knee), offensive tackle Rodger Saffold (knee) and offensive tackle Joe Barksdale (personal matter) all did not practice on Tuesday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The trio of players are all considered questionable for the Week 4 game on Thursday night at home against the 49ers at this point.

Ethan Westbrooks
News
The Rams put safety Christian Bryant (ankle) and defensive tackle Ethan Westbrooks on the non-football injury list. They can be removed at any time and start practicing.
Injury

Jake Long
News
The Rams will be cautious with left tackle Jake Long in training camp after last year's knee injury, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

"Jake is right on course right now," coach Jeff Fisher said. "I think if we're smart, he'll be limited to start camp. He'll participate in individual (drills) and do some stuff. And we'll just start building the reps and building him into practice."

Brandon Washington
News
Among the Rams inactive list for Week 16 are two offensive players who are sidelined by injuries. Wide receiver Tavon Austin (ankle) and running back Daryl Richardson (thigh) headline the team's inactive list, as unveiled prior to kickoff Sunday against the Buccaneers.

Additionally, offensive linemen Harvey Dahl, Mike Person (illness) and Brandon Washington, defensive lineman Matt Conrath and defensive back Quinton Pointer are all out of uniform for Sunday's game.

Marcus Roberson
News
The Rams signed 15 free agents from the college ranks: tight end Alex Bayer (Bowling Green), cornerbacks Jarrid Bryant (South Dakota) and Marcus Roberson (Florida), receivers Austin Franklin (New Mexico) and Jamaine Sherman (East Texas Baptist), running back Trey Watts (Tulsa), linebackers Aaron Hill (Minnesota), Johnny Millard (Cal Poly State) and Tavarius Wilson (North Alabama), defensive tackles Ethan Westbrooks (West Texas A&M) and Deantre Harlan (Bacone), safety Avery Cunningham (Central Michigan), fullback Kadeem Jones (Western Kentucky) and offensive tackles Emmanuel McCray (Mississippi) and Abasi Salimu (Nicholls State).

Brian Quick
News
Former NFL general manager-turned-SiriusXM NFL Radio host Phil Savage tweeted Wednesday that Rams receiver Brian Quick has displayed production matching his size and speed. The team is encouraged, according to Savage.

More praise for Quick came from ESPN, who reported earlier this week that he was off to a good start, reeling in a pair of deep passes on Tuesday. And even Jeff Fisher got in a compliment.

"Brian, early on in his career, if he wasn't sure, he wasn't quite full speed," Fisher told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "Brian is learning to just go. Good things happen when you run hard."

Quick, 6-foot-3 and 218 pounds, has long been a tempting breakout candidate thanks to his fleet feet, but in his first two seasons he's tallied just 29 grabs for 458 yards and four touchdowns.

Greg Reid
News
Rams cornerback Greg Reid, who was just signed last week, was arrested Saturday in Georgia on a charge of violating his probation. The Rams are aware of the situation and the arrest won't change his status with the team, according to ESPN.com.

Reid originally was arrested in 2012 and charged with possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license.
