Da'Quan Bowers
News

Andrew DePaola
News
The Buccaneers re-signed long-snapper Andrew DePaola and waived cornerback Anthony Gaitor, the team announced.
Jeremy Grable
News
The Buccaneers announced Tuesday they signed defensive end Ryne Giddins and defensive end James Ruffin. The team also announced it waived (injured) linebacker Jeremy Grable and safety Mycal Swaim.
Lavonte David
News
Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David was held out of practice Thursday due to a hamstring injury, reports the Chicago Tribune. He has 116 tackles and two forced fumbles this season.

The Bucs visit the Bears on Sunday.

Injury
Hamstring - Limited practice. Questionable for Week 12 at Chicago
Dashon Goldson
News
Buccaneers free safety Dashon Goldson may be falling out of favor with the team's coaching staff and could be a candidate for release during the offseason, NFL.com reports.

Goldson was removed on some passing downs for Bradley McDougald in Week 10, and defensive coordinator said wanted to "take a look" at McDougald and that he is "not a one-dimensional guy." With Goldson set to earn a $7.5-million base salary in 2015, the team would likely choose to let him go and save $5 million in cap space if the safety is seen as nothing more than a rotational player.

Johnthan Banks
News
Linebacker Brandon McGee (knee) is the lone Buccaneers player ruled out for the Sunday game against Minnesota. Cornerback Johnthan Banks (neck) is the only teammate on the Friday injury report not deemed questionable.

That group includes linebacker Jonathan Casillas (hamstring), tackle Anthony Collins (knee), safety Dashon Goldson (ankle), wide receiver Vincent Jackson (rib), quarterback Josh McCown (thumb) and defensive back Keith Tandy (hamstring.

Goldson and McCown both went from limited in practice to full participation Friday. Jackson has been limited throughout.

Orie Lemon
News
The Chiefs signed linebacker Orie Lemon to the practice squad Wednesday. Lemon takes the spot of Nico Johnson, who was signed to the Bengals' active roster Wednesday.

Louis Murphy
News
A few Buccaneers chipped in to the offensive effort Sunday in a loss to Cleveland. Among them was running back Mike James, who managed nine yards on four carries.

Also contributing was wideout Louis Murphy with two catches for 13 yards and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins with one reception for three yards.

George Uko
News
The Buccaneers announced several roster moves on Monday, via the team's official website.

The team signed fullback Lonnie Pryor and defensive end George Uko to the practice squad. They also released wide receiver Kevin Cone and running back Jeff Demps.

Leonard Johnson
News
Buccaneers cornerback Leonard Johnson highlighted the fine defensive effort Sunday in Detroit with a 48-yard pick-six in the second quarter, but that was far from the extent of his contribution.

Johnson tied for second on his team with seven tackles and added two passes defensed in the upset victory.

Mason Foster
News
The Buccaneers will have Evan Dietrich-Smith and Mason Foster Week 6 against the Ravens.

Dietrich-Smith came into the contest considered questionable due to an illness. Foster was listed as probable due to a shoulder injury.

Patrick Omameh
News
Among the Buccaneers inactives for Week 16 against the Rams, three are sidelined as a result of injuries. Offensive lineman Carl Nicks (foot), defensive lineman Da'Quan Bowers (knee) and defensive back Mark Barron (hamstring) headline the team's inactive list.

Additionally, linebacker Danny Lansanah, defensive lineman Matthew Masifilo , running back Lonnie Pryor and offensive lineman Patrick Omameh are all out of uniform Sunday.

Mike Jenkins
News
The Buccaneers placed cornerback Mike Jenkins on injured reserve with a pectoral injury, ending his season, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Injury
Pectoral - IR. Out for season
Josh McCown
News
Quarterback Josh McCown threw two second-half touchdowns to rookie Mike Evans, leading the Buccaneers to a 27-7 win Week 11 at Washington. McCown completed 15 of 23 passes for 288 yards, while rushing for 8 yards on three carries.

Most of McCown's production Sunday went to the rookie receiver Evans, who totaled 209 yards on seven catches. He had touchdown catches of 36 and 56 yards after halftime.

McCown, who entered play probable due to a back injury, has thrown a pair of touchdown passes in two straight games since returing to the starting quarterback role -- both wins.

The Bucs are back in action Week 12 at Chicago.

Akeem Spence
News
Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David, who leads the team with 89 tackles and two forced fumbles, is active for the game against Atlanta after being listed as questionable with a knee injury. Also suiting up are linebacker Brandon Magee (knee), tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (thumb) and defensive tackle Akeem Spence (hamstring).
Kadeem Edwards
News
The Buccaneers placed rookie guard Kadeem Edwards on injured reserve with a foot injury, the team announced.
Injury
Mike Evans
News
Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been one of the best rookies in the league all season long, and a change in quarterback has done nothing to slow him down.

Evans put together his third 100-yard game in a row in Week 11, and he has caught passes from both of the team's quarterbacks in that stretch. Sunday, he hauled in seven passes for 209 yards and two scores from Josh McCown, the best game of his career.

Evans was off to a solid start to his career with at least four catches in each of his first six games, but has taken things to another level recently. He has 458 yards and five touchdowns over his last three games, and looks like a must-start Fantasy option down the stretch.

Isaiah Frey
News
The Buccaneers signed former Bears cornerback Isaiah Frey, reports the Tampa Bay Times. Frey made 12 tackles and forced two fumbles in three games with Chicago this season.
Mike Kafka
News
The Buccaneers re-signed quarterback Mike Kafka and wideout Tavarres King to their practice squad, reports the Tampa Bay Times.
Mike James
News
The Buccaneers split the workload in the backfield pretty evenly in Week 10, but none of their options really stood out in a 27-17 loss to the Falcons.

Bobby Rainey got the start at running back for the Buccaneers, but was a non-factor in the rushing game, finishing with just 14 yards on six carries. However, neither of the team's other options did much more, as Mike James had just 16 yards on four carries, while Charles Sims had 23 yards on eight carries in his first action.

Rainey made more of an impact in the passing game, catching four for 42 yards, but that might not be enough to keep him in the starting role. The Buccaneers are looking for someone who can run the ball well, and until they find a go-to option, the door is open.

Rainey is the more proven commodity, and should be valued more than Sims for Fantasy purposes moving forward. However, the team probably also wants to see what they have in Sims, their third-round pick this year, so he will get his chance. At this point, both probably have just low-end value for Week 11 against Washington.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins
News
Buccaneers rookie tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins found himself wide open for a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Falcons. It was his second score in the past three games.

Seferian-Jenkins finished with five catches for 30 yards. He drew nine targets, tied for second on the team.

He'll visit the Redskins in Week 11.

Clinton McDonald
News
Buccaneers defensive linemen Clinton McDonald and William Gholston each came away with a sack Week 2 against the Rams. McDonald sacked Austin Davis in the third quarter, while Gholston took down the quarterback in the fourth quarter. McDonald registered seven total tackles (six solo), with one sack and one tackle for loss. Gholston registered six total tackles (four solo), with one sack and one tackle for loss.
Logan Mankins
News
The Buccaneers should have a number of players available Week 3 against Tampa.

Da'Quan Bowers, Evan Dietrich-Smith, Demar Dotson, William Gholston, Logan Mankins and Bradley McDougald were all active for Thursday's game. All six players were probable coming into the game.

Michael Johnson was listed as questionable, but should also be able to play.

Adrian Clayborn
News
Buccaneers defensive lineman Adrian Clayborn was placed on injured reserve Friday, due to a season-ending biceps injury.

Clayborn was trying to work through the injury in recent days, having practiced on a limited basis both Wednesday and Thursday. However, the injury proved to be too much for him to keep going, necessitating an IR trip for the second time in three seasons.

Injury
Elbow - IR. Out for season
Garrett Gilkey
News
Quinton Pointer
News
The Buccaneers have released cornerback Quinton Pointer on Saturday, according to NFL.com. Pointer spent his first two seasons with the Rams and appeared in only eight games over that span before signing with Tampa Bay in the offseason. He has registered six total tackles.
Jacquies Smith
News
Lovie Smith has praised Buccaneers defensive end Jacquies Smith for his emergence as a productive player in recent weeks.

The undrafted free agent, who was cut by Buffalo after Week 1 and has served a stint in the Canadian Football League, has gone from practice squad member to key player in the rotation. He has three sacks in the last three games, including two Sunday against Washington. Smith claims the result should be increased playing time.

"We tell the players always, 'If you get in a few plays and you're productive with those, you'll get more,'" Smith told ESPN. "Kind of simple as that. He has continued to get more plays based on his play. He's come a long way from being cut by the Bills and coming down here and now really being a factor. So it's safe to say that, yes."

Larry English
News
The Buccaneers have made QB Josh McCown, CB Johnthan Banks, S Dashon Goldson, LB Jonathan Casillas, DE Larry English, OL Kevin Pamphile and OL Kadeem Edwards inactive Week 6 against the Ravens.

Goldson and Casillas were the only players ruled out prior to Sunday. McCown entered the game considered doubtful. Banks was listed as questionable.

The defenders cut loose are cornerbacks Trevin Wade, Terrence Frederick and Derrius Brooks, linebackers Keyunta Dawson and Todd Davis, tackle Lawrence Virgil, safety Pierre Warren.

Placekickers Shayne Graham and Derek Dimke are also out.

Evan Dietrich-Smith
News
One ailing Buccaneers offensive lineman got a thumbs-up while the other received a thumbs-down for the Sunday game in Cleveland. Tackle Anthony Collins, who had been doubtful, is indeed out with a foot injury. Center Evan Dietrich-Smith, who had been deemed probable with a knee issue, is set to play.

Mike Glennon
News
In a radio appearance for 98.7 FM The Fan in Tampa Bay, Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon revealed that he is no longer the team's starting quarterback. Coach Lovie Smith is expected to start Josh McCown Week 10 against the Falcons.

McCown started the first three games of the season before losing his spot due to a thumb injury. Glennon passed for 1,417 yards and registered a 10-to-6 touchdown-to-interception ratio in six games (five starts).

Brandon Magee

Buccaneers running backs Doug Martin (ankle) and Charles Sims (ankle) headline the Week 9 inactives for Sunday in Cleveland. Also injured and out are linebacker Brandon Magee (knee) and tackle Anthony Collins (foot).

The healthy scratches are cornerback Brandon Dixon and guard Kadeem Edwards.

C.J. Wilson
News
Buccaneers wide receiver Robert Herron, cornerback Alterraun Verner, running back Doug Martin, cornerback C.J. Wilson, tackle Kevin Pamphile, tight end Luke Stocker and defensive lineman Da'Quan Bowers were all ruled inactive Week 11 at Washington.
Demar Dotson
News
The Buccaneers have ruled out Doug Martin for Week 11 against Washington. Martin is the only player on Tampa Bay's final injury report ruled out for Sunday. Michael Johnson (hand), Luke Stocker (hip) and Alterraun Verner (hamstring) were deemed questionable. Josh McCown (back), Gerald McCoy (groin), Anthony Collins (foot) and Demar Dotson (neck) were labeled probable.
Vincent Jackson
News
Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson totaled three catches for 43 yards during a 27-7 win Week 11 at Washington. He was targeted four times and his longest catch went 18 yards.

Jackson has gone without a touchdown catch in six straight games. He hasn't gone over 100 yards in five straight games.

The Bucs are back in action Week 12 at Chicago.

Major Wright
News
The Buccaneers have re-signed safety Major Wright after placing running back Charles Sims (ankle) on short-term IR, according to NFL.com. Wright was released Saturday as Tampa Bay finalized its 53-man roster.
Luke Stocker
News
Buccaneers wide receiver Robert Herron, cornerback Alterraun Verner, running back Doug Martin, cornerback C.J. Wilson, tackle Kevin Pamphile, tight end Luke Stocker and defensive lineman Da'Quan Bowers were all ruled inactive Week 11 at Washington.
Patrick Murray
News
Buccaneers kicker Patrick Murray finished with nine points during a 27-7 loss Week 11 at Washington.

Murray made a 32-yard field goal in the first quarter and a 38-yard field goal in the second quarter. He made three extra points.

The nine points tied a season high for Murray, who also had nine points in Week 4. The Bucs are back in action Week 12 at Chicago.

Charles Sims
News
Buccaneers running back Charles Sims, who had ankle surgery in August and missed the first eight games, was limited in practice Thursday by an ankle injury, reports the Tampa Bay Times. Tampa Bay visits the Bears on Sunday.
Brandon Myers

Running back Mike James carried once for 1 yard. They'll all visit the Browns in Week 9.

Anthony Collins

He also indicated that tackle Anthony Collins could return from a foot injury Week 11.

News
The Buccaneers have ruled out Doug Martin for Week 11 against Washington. Martin is the only player on Tampa Bay's final injury report ruled out for Sunday. Josh McCown (back), Gerald McCoy (groin), Anthony Collins (foot) and Demar Dotson (neck) were labeled probable.
Danny Lansanah
News
Buccaneers linebacker Danny Lansanah was able to return Week 6.

Lansanah left the contest with a head injury, and was evaluated by the club. It was determined that he was safe to play, and he returned to the game. Lansanah had notched three tackles before leaving the contest.

Bobby Rainey
News
Buccaneers running back Bobby Rainey got the start in Week 11 against the Redskins, but he quickly took a backseat to rookie Charles Sims in the 27-7 win.

Neither back was particularly effective in the win, but Rainey hardly got the chance to show what he could do. He finished the game with just 5 rushing yards on four carries, while Sims had 13 carries for 36 yards. The duo's struggles came against a Redskins defense that has allowed just one of their last four opponents to average more than 4 yards per carry on the ground.

Rainey has been productive when given the chance this season, but it looks like Sims might get the bulk of the work down the stretch. If you have to own one of the Bucs' backs, Sims looks like the one at this point.
