Da'Quan Bowers
News
The Buccaneers should have a number of players available Week 3 against Tampa.

Da'Quan Bowers, Evan Dietrich-Smith, Demar Dotson, William Gholston, Logan Mankins and Bradley McDougald were all active for Thursday's game. All six players were probable coming into the game.

Michael Johnson was listed as questionable, but should also be able to play.

Andrew DePaola
News
The Buccaneers re-signed long-snapper Andrew DePaola and waived cornerback Anthony Gaitor, the team announced.
Lavonte David
News
Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David led the charge in his team's 20-14 loss to the Panthers in Week 1. He registered a game-high 10 total tackles (nine solo) and two tackles for loss. He was also credited for a quarterback hit in the loss.
Dashon Goldson
News
Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson had monster game at home against the Rams in Week 2. Goldson led the team with a game-high 11 tackles (nine solo) in a 19-17 victory. He has 20 tackles on the year.

Ankle - Left Week 4 at Pittsburgh
Johnthan Banks
News
Buccaneers defensive back Johnthan Banks was forced out of Sunday's season opener against the Panthers with a head injury, per Jennifer Hale of FOX Sports. He sustained the injury in the second half and returned in the fourth quarter.
Louis Murphy
News
Just when new Buccaneers starting quarterback Mike Glennon was developing a liking for wide receiver Mike Evans, the rookie went down late in the third quarter with a groin injury.

So naturally, he began throwing to his replacement.

Louis Murphy, last known to Fantasy owners as that guy who had a few big games for Oakland in 2009 and 2010, came off the bench to dominate the fourth quarter in Evans' absence. He finished the game with a team-high 11 targets, only three coming before Evans departure.

Of Murphy's six catches for 99 yards -- both also team highs -- five for 92 yards came in the fourth quarter, including a 31-yarder to set up a field goal and a 41-yarder to set up the go-ahead touchdown pass to Vincent Jackson with only seconds to go.

Because Murphy was just an injury sub for a player starting opposite Jackson on an offense with an unproven quarterback, he won't be the most attractive waiver claim, but provided Evans is out for Week 5, he could be useful if you get in a pinch.

Leonard Johnson
News
Buccaneers cornerback Leonard Johnson highlighted the fine defensive effort Sunday in Detroit with a 48-yard pick-six in the second quarter, but that was far from the extent of his contribution.

Johnson tied for second on his team with seven tackles and added two passes defensed in the upset victory.

Mason Foster
News
Defensive end Larry English (hamstring) and linebacker Mason Foster (shoulder) are the lone injured inactives for the Buccaneers on Sunday in Pittsburgh.

The healthy scratches are quarterback Josh McCown, running backs Robert Herron and Mike James and offensive linemen Kevin Pamphile and Kadeem Edwards.

Injury
Shoulder - Missed Week 4 at Pittsburgh
Patrick Omameh
News
Among the Buccaneers inactives for Week 16 against the Rams, three are sidelined as a result of injuries. Offensive lineman Carl Nicks (foot), defensive lineman Da'Quan Bowers (knee) and defensive back Mark Barron (hamstring) headline the team's inactive list.

Additionally, linebacker Danny Lansanah, defensive lineman Matthew Masifilo , running back Lonnie Pryor and offensive lineman Patrick Omameh are all out of uniform Sunday.

Mike Jenkins
News
The Buccaneers placed cornerback Mike Jenkins on injured reserve with a pectoral injury, ending his season, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Injury
Pectoral - IR. Out for season
Josh McCown
News
Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith would not say during his Monday press conference who will start at quarterback once Josh McCown is healthy enough to return from a right thumb injury, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Smith said the team will start whoever gives them the best chance to win.

The Bucs picked up their first win of the season Sunday at Pittsburgh behind Mike Glennon, who made his first start of the season.

Injury
Right thumb - Missed Week 4 at Pittsburgh
Akeem Spence
News
Buccaneers defensive tackle Akeem Spence was arrested on a marijuana possession charge after he was stopped by an Alabama trooper for speeding, reports the Tampa Bay Tribune. The fourth-round pick in last year's draft was clocked at over 100 mph, the report said.

Spence started 14 games, recording 19 tackles and a sack.

Kadeem Edwards

Mike Evans
News
Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is expected to miss 2-3 weeks after suffering a groin strain Week 4 against the Steelers, a source told FOX Sports. The Bucs have two more games before a bye in Week 7.
Injury
Groin - Left Week 4 at Pittsburgh
Mike Kafka
News
The Buccaneers have promoted quarterback Mike Kafka to the active roster Thursday. To clear a roster spot, offensive lineman Rishaw Johnson was released.
Mike James

Austin Seferian-Jenkins
News
Buccaneers tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins returned from a foot injury and immediately served as a key part of the offense in Week 4. Does the rookie second-rounder have sleeper Fantasy potential moving forward?

Seferian-Jenkins was targeted on seven of quarterback Mike Glennon's 42 throws in Sunday's game, a number that left him third on the team. He brought in three of those passes, a decent number considering Glennon struggled with his accuracy all game. The fact that Glennon looked his way so often might be a good sign, since it was the pair's first game together.

After a collegiate career that saw him total 1,840 yards in three seasons, Seferian-Jenkins has a chance to become a big part of this Tampa Bay offense. However, he obviously has a lot to prove before you want to rely on him. Keep an eye on Seferian-Jenkins' play in Week 5 against the Saints, and consider adding him if he and Glennon show a good rapport.

Clinton McDonald
News
Buccaneers defensive linemen Clinton McDonald and William Gholston each came away with a sack Week 2 against the Rams. McDonald sacked Austin Davis in the third quarter, while Gholston took down the quarterback in the fourth quarter. McDonald registered seven total tackles (six solo), with one sack and one tackle for loss. Gholston registered six total tackles (four solo), with one sack and one tackle for loss.
Logan Mankins

Adrian Clayborn
News
Buccaneers defensive lineman Adrian Clayborn was placed on injured reserve Friday, due to a season-ending biceps injury.

Clayborn was trying to work through the injury in recent days, having practiced on a limited basis both Wednesday and Thursday. However, the injury proved to be too much for him to keep going, necessitating an IR trip for the second time in three seasons.

News
Jacquies Smith
News
The Bills released defensive lineman Jacquies Smith Monday, to clear a spot on the 53-man roster. Smith was inactive for Week 1 against the Bears, but could land on the practice squad, where he spent much of last season.
Larry English

Injury
Hamstring - Missed Week 4 at Pittsburgh
Doug Martin
News
In his return from a knee injury Week 4 at Pittsburgh, Buccaneers running back Doug Martin led the way with 14 carries. The second-most went to the player who thrived in his absence, Bobby Rainey. He got only four.

That's mostly good news in Fantasy, but for the Rainey owners, perhaps it isn't. Certainly, you'd rather see one of the two backs carry the load rather than another timeshare, but maybe Martin isn't the one to do it. He scored a touchdown, sure, but he gained only 40 yards on those 14 carries, giving him 2.1 yards per carry on the year.

Rainey, by comparison, is averaging 4.9 yards per carry. True, he owes much of that to the 144 yards he had on 22 carries against the Rams in Week 2, but despite the two early fumbles Week 3 at Atlanta, he still finished with 105 total yards in that game, 64 on the receiving end.

Ideally, if you own Martin, you own Rainey and vice versa. Whichever gets the carries looks like he'll get the vast majority of them. But I still have some doubts as to which running back will emerge in the long run.

Kevin Pamphile

Crezdon Butler
News

The following players were let go by San Diego: WR Vincent Brown, LB Victor Aiyewa, DT Chas Alecxih, WR Torrence Allen, CB Crezdon Butler, S Alden Darby, CB Greg Ducre, TE Mike Flacco, T Michael Harris , WR Javontee Herndon, OLB Thomas Keiser, DL Joe Kruger, OLB Cordarro Law, S Adrian Phillips, WR Tevin Reese, T Jeremiah Sirles, QB Brad Sorensen, OLB Colton Underwood, G Craig Watts, T Kenny Wiggins, C Khalil Wilkes and DL Doug Worthington.
Shayne Skov
News
The Buccaneers signed linebacker Shayne Skov to their practice squad. He was released by the 49ers last week.
Derrius Brooks
News
The Saints have knocked their roster down to 53 by waiving a number of players Saturday.

Among the offense players let go are center Matt Armstrong, wide receivers Seantavius Jones , Brandon Coleman and Charles Hawkins, tight end Nic Jacobs, guards Jason Weaver and Marcel Jones, tackles Tavon Rooks and Thomas Welch and running backs Greg Jones and Derrick Strozier.

The defenders cut loose are cornerbacks Trevin Wade, Terrence Frederick and Derrius Brooks, linebackers Keyunta Dawson and Todd Davis, tackle Lawrence Virgil, safety Pierre Warren.

Placekickers Shayne Graham and Derek Dimke are also out.

Evan Dietrich-Smith

Mike Glennon
News
As I wrote earlier in the week, Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon had an underrated rookie season that's made him overlooked in Fantasy now that he's back in a starting role. But his inspiring comeback effort Week 4 at Pittsburgh doesn't compel me to add him off the waiver wire.

For one thing, a couple of big catches catches from backup wide receiver Louis Murphy really upped his yardage in the fourth quarter. He had only 154 yards after three quarters and only 57 after two. The turnaround was part of a frantic comeback effort that succeeded in part because of its recklessness. Glennon completed only 50 percent of his passes (21 for 42) on the day, which is unheard of among the quarterbacks who matter in Fantasy.

Does that mean it was all luck and Glennon is a complete waste of Fantasy owners' time? I'm not saying that. I just don't want to make too much of it either way. Prior to the fourth quarter, Glennon was a bust, but maybe his fourth quarter performance will compel the Buccaneers to open up the offense for him.

Outside of two-quarterback leagues, you can afford to wait and see with him.

Brandon Magee
News
The Buccaneers announced Monday they waived injured cornerback Rashaan Melvin (ankle) to clear a roster spot for linebacker Brandon Magee, who was promoted from the practice squad.
William Gholston
News
Buccaneers defensive end William Gholston has been cleared for action Sunday against Pittsburgh. He had been listed as probable with a shoulder issue.
C.J. Wilson
News
The Bears trimmed down their roster to 53 on Saturday, cutting the following players: WR Armanti Edwards, RB Jordan Lynch, TE Jeron Mastrud, OL Dennis Roland, OL Robert Turner, WR Josh Bellamy, C Taylor Boggs, DT Brandon Dunn, LB Jerry Franklin, G Ryan Groy, LB DeDe Lattimore, CB Al Louis-Jean, WR Dale Moss, DT Lee Pegues, DT Tracy Robertson, S Marcus Trice, WR Chris Williams, CB C.J. Wilson, OT Eben Britton, CB Kelvin Hayden, DE Austen Lane and S M.D. Jennings.
Ian Thompson
News
The Buccaneers added fullback Ian Thompson and defensive end T.J. Fatinikun to their practice squad.
Demar Dotson

Vincent Jackson
News
Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson came away from Sunday's game against the Steelers with 9 Fantasy points, and his owners have to be thrilled that he managed that. Jackson was limited for nearly all of Week 4's comeback win over the Steelers, before salvaging his line with a touchdown.

Jackson played with a cast on his wrist after suffering a small fracture last week, and was limited to just three receptions despite being targeted 10 times in the game. Some of those incompletions were the result of poor passes, but he also had a few passes glance off his hands as well.

Quarterback Mike Glennon showed plenty of trust in Jackson throughout the game, including three passes thrown his way in the end zone late. Jackson finally came down with one to win the game, and showed at least enough to think that he won't be a total nonfactor for Fantasy purposes moving forward.

However, his effectiveness was obviously an issue Sunday, which should be enough to make Fantasy owners wary about relying on him too much.

Major Wright
News
The Buccaneers have re-signed safety Major Wright after placing running back Charles Sims (ankle) on short-term IR, according to NFL.com. Wright was released Saturday as Tampa Bay finalized its 53-man roster.
Luke Stocker
News
The Buccaneers backups did little in a 56-14 blowout against the Falcons.

Mike James managed to pick up some carries, gaining 4 yards during the contest. He did not factor into the passing game.

Tight end Brandon Myers wound up hauling in five passes for 33 yards. Luke Stocker caught two passes for 15 yards. Robert Herron made one catch for 5 yards. Mike James also caught a pass, but it went for -5 yards.

They'll take on the Steelers Week 4.

Patrick Murray
News
Buccaneers rookie placekicker Patrick Murray enjoyed a perfect afternoon Sunday in Pittsburgh. He not only booted two field goals, but one of them was a 50-yarder on the first attempt of that length in his career.

Murray also slammed through a 27-yard field goal in the fourth quarter and nailed all three of his extra-point tries.

Charles Sims
News
The Buccaneers have placed running back Charles Sims (ankle) on short-term injured reserve, according to NFL.com. Sims will be eligible to practice after Week 6 and eligible to play after Week 8.
Injury
Ankle - IR. Eligible to return Week 9 at Cleveland
Jonathan Casillas
News
Strong side linebacker Jonathan Casillas has signed a one-year contract with the Buccaneers.

The 26-year-old Casillas, who hooked on with the team as a free agent before last season, played in 12 games and started four. He recorded 24 tackles, but lost time to a torn meniscus that required offseason surgery.

Brandon Myers

Mark Barron
News
Buccaneers safety Mark Barron revealed that he underwent right knee surgery in the offseason, ESPN reports Sunday.

Barron has been practicing, but is not 100 percent healthy from the procedure, per the report. The 24-year-old missed the final two games of the year in 2013 because of hamstring injury. He should be ready for the start of the season.
Anthony Collins
News
Anthony Collins has picked the Buccaneers, reportedly over the Bengals and Panthers, as his new team. The offensive tackle has agreed to terms with them according to The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud.

ESPN reports the deal is good for five years and $30 million with $15 million guaranteed

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound behemoth out of Kansas started seven games for the Bengals last year. He has 25 career starts over six seasons.

Michael Johnson
News
Buccaneers defensive end Michael Johnson certainly filled the stat sheet Sunday against the host Steelers.

Johnson not only recorded his first two sacks of the year, but added three more tackles in the defeat of Pittsburgh. Not bad considering he entered the game with three total tackles in two games this season.

Danny Lansanah

News

The most significant were tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and wideout Russell Shepard. The former caught three passes for 44 yards while the latter snagged two for 30 yards.

Fellow wideout Solomon Patton made the most of his opportunity, racing 19 yards on an end-around. Jorvorskie Lane added one carry for two yards while Bobby Rainey managed the same yardage on four attempts while catching one pass for 16 yards.

Robert Herron

Michael Koenen
