Jake Locker
News
Jake Locker retired from the NFL on Tuesday, leading to speculation that he may pursue a baseball career.

If so, the Angels own his rights. They selected him in the tenth round of the 2009 draft and signed him for $300,000.

General manager Jerry Dipoto isn't interested, however.

“We’re not interested in him as a baseball player,” Dipoto told MLBlogs' Alden Gonzalez. “We’re going to focus on the guys we have. We have enough going on.”

The Angels would release Locker if he wants to pursue a baseball career. The team signed him two years before Dipoto joined the Angels.

"“We weren’t really on him when I was in Arizona," he said. "Generally with the two-sport guys who we don’t think have interest in being a baseball player we don’t waste our time.”

Khalid Wooten
News
The Titans made a couple of roster moves prior to their Week 15 matchup against the Jets, per the Tennessean. The team placed offensive tackle Michael Oher (toe) on season-ending injured reserve and activated defensive back Khalid Wooten from practice squad.
Kamerion Wimbley
News
Several Titans who were on the injury report are active for the game against Indianapolis. The list includes linebacker Zaviar Gooden (hamstring), nose tackle Sammie Lee Hill (foot), offensive tackle Byron Stingily (ankle) and linebacker Kamerion Wimbley (hamstring).
Quentin Groves
News
Titans quarterback Jake Locker was a full participant in practice Friday and will be probable for Week 8 against the Texans. Locker will likely serve as a backup to Zach Mettenberger on Sunday.

Coty Sensabaugh (knee) and Taylor Thompson (knee) were labeled doubtful, while Quentin Groves (ankle) was deemed questionable. Meanwhile, Shonn Greene (hamstring) and Ropati Pitoitua (hand) were ruled probable, along with Locker.

Chance Warmack
News
The Titans have ruled out outside linebacker Kamerion Wimbley (hamstring) for Sunday's contest against the Giants. Wimbley was the only players ruled out for the game, while defensive back Marqueston Huff (hamstring) and guard Chance Warmack (ankle) were the only players designated as probable.

Meanwhile, offensive tackle Taylor Lewan (ankle), quarterback Zach Mettenberger (shoulder), tackle Michael Oher (toe), cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson (back) and wide receiver Kendall Wright (hand) were all deemed as questionable.

Chaz Sutton
News
The Titans have added rookie outside linebacker Chaz Sutton to their practice squad. He had been released by the Redskins in early September.
Avery Williamson
News
Fifth-round pick Avery Williamson has cut into the snaps of veteran inside linebacker Zaviar Gooden for the Titans, The Tennessean has reported.

The rookie did not play on defense until Week 3, but he made four tackles in 13 snaps against Cincinnati. He was on the field for 26 snaps last week against Indianapolis and made nine tackles. He has been playing with the first team this week in practice.

"(Williams is) doing a nice job," Ken Whisenhunt said. "He has to learn his assignments ... and he has to be able to execute them consistently. It's a process that all your young players go through. Everyone wants to throw young players out there, but sometimes they're not ready yet."

Perrish Cox
News
Free agent cornerback Perrish Cox has agreed to terms with the Titans on Saturday, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The deal is worth $15 million over three years, according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo! Sports.

Chase Coffman
News
Titans tight end Chase Coffman, who entered Monday's game with two catches all season, got more receiving chances than normal with starter Delanie Walker sidelined by a concussion. Coffman responded, catching three of four targets for 32 yards and a touchdown in the loss to the Steelers.

Late in the third quarter, Coffman skied for a 4-yard catch in the end zone and held on despite landing hard. He'll visit the Eagles in Week 12.

Coty Sensabaugh
News
The Titans are in fine physical shape heading into their Week 10 game in Baltimore. Only three players are in their Friday injury report, including nose tackle Sammie Lee Hill (hamstring) and wideout Nate Washington (shoulder), both of whom are questionable. Cornerback Coty Sensabaugh (knee) is probable.
Lache Seastrunk
News
The Titans signed rookie running back Lache Seastrunk to their practice squad. The sixth-round pick out of Baylor was cut by the Redskins, then the Panthers.
Zach Mettenberger
News
Despite rumors that the Titans will select a quarterback with their second overall pick in the 2015 draft, current starter Zach Mettenberger is playing the role quite decisively in the offseason. Included on his agenda has been organizing workouts with his fellow offensive teammates.

Among those appreciating the efforts is running back Dexter McCluster.

"If you ask me, I think that's definitely a good sign for him," McCluster told The Tennessean. "That's the first step, him showing that leadershp and him knowing, 'Hey, this may be my shot, so let me go ahead and get a head start on it.'"

Wideout Kendall Wright expressed similar sentiment.

"Our quarterback, Zach, is a young guy and he is stepping up," Wright said. "He is more than ready to play, and we are all following Zach, just going out there and getting ready and running the things he wants to run, some of the things he wants to do.

"I think we all have a lot of respect for Zach. With him trying to be our leader, it is a good thing. And he is going to be the leader if he is going to be our quarterback."

Mettenberger performed well at times in 2014. He finished the year having completed 59.8 percent of his passes for 1,412 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Injury
Right shoulder - Missed Week 17 vs. Indianapolis
Leon Washington
News
Titans running back Leon Washington made an impact Week 16 against the Jaguars.

Washington wasn't a huge factor in the running the game, gaining 11 yards on four carries. He excelled in the passing game, however. Washington hauled in seven catches, gaining 62 yards. He finished second on the team in receiving for the game. Washington was the only player on the team to score, pulling down an 8 yard touchdown pass on the team's first drive.

He'll look for more Week 17 against the Colts.

William Poehls
News
The Titans dumped 20 players Saturday to pare their roster down to the required 53 for the regular season.

Tennessee cut the following players: T Jeff Adams, CB Ri'Shard Anderson, RB Antonio Andrews, DL Chigbo Anunoby, K Maikon Bonani, CB Tommie Campbell, TE Chase Coffman, LB Brandon Copeland, QB Dominique Davis, DE Marcus Dixon, LB Moise Fokou, WR Marc Mariani, G Justin McCray, FB Collin Mooney, OL Eric Olsen, T William Poehls, WR Rico Richardson, WR Brian Robiskie, TE Jason Schepler and CB Winston Wright.
Taylor Thompson
News
A knee injury has motivated the Titans to place tight end Taylor Thompson on injured reserve. He is out for the season.

Thompson caught his only two passes this season in the opener and has not played since Week 3.

Injury
Knee - IR. Out for season
Bishop Sankey
News
After often playing second fiddle to rookie Bishop Sankey this season, Titans running back Shonn Greene operated as the feature back in the Week 17 loss to the Colts. Green ran 11 times for a season-high 94 yards, including a 52-yard gain in which he trucked Colts safety Mike Adams.

Sankey rushed four times for 18 yards and was targeted once without a catch. Sankey finishes the year with just 569 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Greene is signed for one more year, while Sankey is under contract through 2017.

Derek Hagan
News
You probably expected wide receiver Nate Washington to step up for the Titans with Kendall Wright sidelined by a cracked bone in his hand Week 14 against the Giants. After all, he's the one who upped his game when Justin Hunter went down in Week 13, catching five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.

But while he was a factor in Week 14, catching three passes (on three targets) for 56 yards, he wasn't the team's most productive wide receiver. No, that honor went to Derek Hagan, who caught six passes (on seven targets) for 62 yards. He entered the game with only seven catches all season.

Of course, five of those looks came in the second half, when the Titans were already well out of it, and three came with backup quarterback Jake Locker, who replaced starter Zach Mettenberger in the rout. Wright could certainly return for Week 15 against the Jets -- he was questionable for Week 14 as it is -- and considering Washington was involved in the passing game even before Wright went down, he would be more likely to remain a factor with Wright back.

It all adds up to Hagan not being such an advisable pickup in Fantasy. Still a lot of variables at play here, and on a Titans offense still searching for its identity, he probably wouldn't be all that productive even if they all went in his favor.

Taylor Lewan
News
The Titans declared quarterback Zach Mettenberger (shoulder), defensive back Jemea Thomas, linebacker Dontay Moch, offensive tackles Taylor Lewan (ankle) and Terren Jones (concussion), wideout Rico Richardson and defensive end Ropati Pitoitua inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts.

Quarterback Charlie Whitehurst will make his second straight start.

Al Woods
News
The Titans signed defensive lineman Al Woods to a two-year deal Wednesday, ending his two-year run with the Steelers. Woods' contract will pay him $5 million over two years, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Woods is coming off the most productive season of his career, as he played in all 16 games for the first time in four seasons. He picked up 16 tackles and two sacks, the latter of which represents a career-high for the 26-year-old.

Josh Stewart
No Updates
Brian Schwenke
News
The Titans announced center Brian Schwenke has been placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

The team also announced they’ve signed offensive lineman Eric Olsen and promoted linebacker Dontay Moch from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

Brian Orakpo
News
He may be now with the Titans, but former Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo still thinks Robert Griffin III can succeed in Washington, D.C., according to NFL.com. Orakpo said in an interview with Sirius XM on Thursday that if the 25-year-old quarterback can stay healthy, he'll "prove everybody wrong."

"I always tried to stay positive with him when he was handling all that adversity that he was going through," said Orakpo, who shared a locker next to Griffin when he was in Washington. "I think he'll be able to turn it around once he's able to stay healthy, and (he'll) prove everybody wrong. And don't be too much worried about the criticism and the bad stuff that goes around being the quarterback of a big-time franchise like the Redskins. I think it will turn around eventually for him, once he stays healthy and kind of, you know, eliminates all the negativity around him."

Pectoral - IR. Out for season
Kendall Wright
News
The Titans must decide by May 2 whether to pick up the 2016 option on wideout Kendall Wright. ESPN.com predicts Tennessee will exercise the roughly $7 million option, saying it's "not an exorbitant price."

Wright, the 20th overall pick in the 2012 draft, is scheduled to earn $1.4 million this season. He caught a career-high six touchdowns last year, though his receiving yards fell from 1,079 in 2013 to 715 yards in 2014. Wright drew just 6.6 targets per game and suffered from Tennessee's unsettled quarterback situation.

News
The Titans declared quarterback Zach Mettenberger (shoulder), defensive back Jemea Thomas, linebacker Dontay Moch, offensive tackles Taylor Lewan (ankle) and Terren Jones (concussion), wideout Rico Richardson and defensive end Ropati Pitoitua inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts.

Quarterback Charlie Whitehurst will make his second straight start.

Yawin Smallwood
News

Staples, who was previously with Cleveland, has yet to play a down in the NFL. Smallwood was cut before the regular season by Atlanta.

Dorin Dickerson
News
The Titans released tight end Dorin Dickerson with an injury settlement. He was placed on IR last week with an undisclosed injury.
Michael Roos
News
Titans offensive lineman Michael Roos announced his retirement via social media Thursday. Roos spent his entire 10-year career with the Titans. He played in only five games in 2014 because of a knee injury.

Roos released a statement on Instagram and talked about life after football: "Although I don't know what adventure the future holds, I know there will be family, friends, travel, whiskey, cigars and beer. All a man can ask for, and more."

Blidi Wreh-Wilson
News
Titans safety Michael Griffin and cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson are still recovering and rehabbing from shoulder injuries, coach Ken Whisenhunt told the Tennessean Friday.

"I think both of them will be able to do stuff later in the offseason," Whisenhunt said, "but probably won't get full clearance until late in the offseason, or until training camp."

Griffin suffered a torn labrum during the season, but managed to play all 16 games for Tennessee, totaling 112 tackles with three sacks and two interceptions.

Wreh-Wilson suffered a dislocated shoulder in 2014, allowing him to play just 11 games. He totaled 48 tackles with one interception and 10 passes defended.

Injury
Shoulder - IR. Out for season
Craig Stevens
News
The Titans and tight end Craig Stevens agreed to a restructured contract Wednesday, The Tennessean reports.

Stevens had been scheduled to make $3.5 million in 2015, but he'll make a similar amount to his $1.6-million salary from 2014. He was placed on injured reserve after five games last season due to a thigh injury.

Injury

Mike Martin
News
The Titans have listed QB Zach Mettenberger, DB Jemea Thomas, LB Zaviar Gooden, LB Dontay Moch, OT Terren Jones, OT Taylor Lewan and DL Mike Martin as inactive Week 16 against the Jaguars.

Both Mettenberger and Lewan were listed as doubtful heading into the contest. Neither was expected to take the field. Gooden was listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury. The other four players listed are healthy scratches.

Bernard Pollard
News
The Titans have claimed free agent linebacker Jonathan Massaquoi off waivers and released safety Bernard Pollard, the team announced Tuesday.

Massaquoi totaled 22 tackles and two sacks in 15 games for the Falcons in 2014. Pollard was expected to be cut by the team after requesting his release earlier in the week. He suffered an Achilles tear in October, limiting him to just five games in 2014.

Injury
Achilles - IR. Out for season
Justin Hunter
News
Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter has had no setbacks in the recovery process from the lacerated spleen he suffered last season, according to coach Ken Whisenhunt.

"He is fine," Whisenhunt said to the Tennessean. "He is in there rehabbing and everything is good. He is doing a nice job."

Hunter suffered the injury last in the regular season and was hospitalized for a few days before being place on season-ending injured reserve.

He finished the year with 28 catches for 498 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games.
