Lions' Joique Bell: Ruled out for Week 5
Joique Bell (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
According to MLive.com, Bell had a procedure on his ankle back in March, in addition to the reported surgeries on his Achilles and knee. The third surgery explains his slow recovery leading up to the season, and he's reportedly been bothered by the ankle all along. Bell's early-season struggles now come with more context, but he seems to be in danger of missing games beyond Week 5. With the Detroit offensive line struggling and the backfield still crowded, Bell offers very little upside.
Browns' Shaun Draughn: Doubtful for Sunday
Shaun Draughn (back) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest, Andrew Gribble of clevelandbrowns.com reports.
Draughn has largely been passed over in the Cleveland Browns ' running back rotation as Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson have received the majority of the opportunities in recent weeks. With Robert Turbin (ankle) likely coming back in a week or two, Draughn's role in the offense, and his dwindling fantasy value, may have to hinge on multiple injuries to players above him on the depth chart.
Chargers' Brandon Flowers: Full participant at practice Friday
Brandon Flowers (concussion) was a full participant at practice on Friday.
It certainly seems like Flowers will be available for Monday's game against the Steelers considering the veteran cornerback was a full participant at practice in back-to-back games. His status will likely be decided in the coming days, but for now all signs appear to be pointing towards Flowers starting his fourth game of the year.
Rams' Kenny Britt: Dealing with swollen knee
Despite missing Friday's practice due to some swelling in his knee, Kenny Britt is listed as probable for Sunday's game in Green Bay, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Britt should be fine to handle his usual snap count, and while he's rarely left the field this season, his consistent playing time hasn't led to consistent production. After catching 10 passes for 102 yards in Week 3, Britt took a backseat to Tavon Austin in Week 4, finishing with no catches and just one target in a win over the Cardinals.
Giants LB Devon Kennard ruled out for Week 5
New York Giants linebacker Devon Kennard (hamstring) has been ruled out for the game Sunday against the 49ers.
Kennard is off to an impressive start, with 25 tackles (15 solo) and an interception in four games. The Giants still don't have an every-down linebacker, but Kennard leads the group in snaps. In his absence, Mark Herzlich could get the start, though a bunch of players may benefit from added snaps.
Eagles' Mychal Kendricks: Out for Week 5
Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) is listed as out for Sunday's game against the Saints.
With Kendricks and Kiko Alonso (knee) both absent, the Philadelphia Eagles will start DeMeco Ryans and Jordan Hicks at inside linebacker. Hicks has 23 tackles over the last three weeks, and he figures to serve in an every-down role. He's an excellent IDP option, if only for the next week or two.
Buccaneers SS Major Wright probable for Sunday
Tampa Bay Buccaneers strong safety Major Wright is probable for the Week 5 clash with the Jaguars.
It seems likely he will return to the field after missing the last three weeks with an injury to his abdomen. While Chris Conte performed admirably during his stay, Wright will most likely regain the starting job if he can return to the field Sunday.
Eagles' Byron Maxwell: Listed as probable
Byron Maxwell (quadriceps) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Maxwell logged full practices Thursday and Friday, after sitting out Wednesday's session. He's on pace for a career-best 92 tackles, but it will be a big surprise if he actually reaches that number, as his 10-tackle game against Julio Jones and the Falcons was an obvious outlier. Of course, if he continues to struggle in coverage, Maxwell will probably see far more targets than what was expected heading into the year.
Falcons' Ricardo Allen: Listed as probable
Ricardo Allen (knee) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against Washington after practicing fully all week.
Allen looks like a go this week, but with 17 tackles and one interception over his first three contests, he's only an option in deeper IDP formats.
Buccaneers' Johnthan Banks: Doubtful for Sunday
Johnthan Banks (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Banks missed last Sunday's game against the Panthers and now appears to be in danger of missing a second consecutive game. While we won't know his status for certain until Sunday, Mike Jenkins will likely get the start in his place should Banks miss any more time.
