Oakland Raiders' Latavius Murray Expected to play
Latavius Murray (shoulder) was limited as Thursday's practice, but he's expected to be fine for Sunday's game against the Broncos, the San Francisco Chronicle's Vic Tafur reports.
Though he was limited for a second straight day, Murray doesn't seem to be in any real danger of missing Sunday's game. His matchup is the larger concern, with the Broncos allowing just 3.5 yards per carry and 79 rushing yards per game, despite aleady facing Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles.
Texans WR Jaelen Strong should see field Thursday night
Houston Texans wide receiver Jaelen Strong is expected to get a lot of playing time Thursday against the Indianapolis Colts , the Houston Chronicle reports.
Strong, a third-round rookie, is unlikely to see more than a handful of targets in what will essentially be his NFL debut. He was active for the first time in Week 4, but he didn't play any snaps.
Packers S Morgan Burnett (calf) didn't practice Thursday
Morgan Burnett (calf) didn't practice Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Until he makes an appearance at practice, Burnett is an iffy proposition to take the field on game day. If a fourth absence in five contests comes to pass Sunday against the Rams, Micah Hyde will again slot in as the Green Bay Packers ' starting strong safety.
Colts QB Matt Hasselbeck still under the weather; will start Thursday
Matt Hasselbeck (illness), who will start Thursday's game in Houston, said his energy levels are low and he hopes he can make it through all four quarters, NFL Network's Stacey Dales reports.
Hasselbeck has been dealing with a bacterial infection since the weekend, and he doesn't seem to have recovered. With Andrew Luck (shoulder) inactive, the Indianapolis Colts will turn to Josh Johnson if Hasselbeck can't make it through the game.
Texans WR Keith Mumphery starting in place of Nate Washington
Houston Texans wide receiver Keith Mumphery will start Thursday against the Indianapolis Colts in place of Nate Washington (hamstring).
Selected in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Mumphery has thus far served as the No. 4 wideout, but he'll now join the starting lineup in the absence of both Nate Washington (hamstring) and Cecil Shorts (shoulder). While the Houston Cougars passing game may take a backseat to Arian Foster 's running, Mumphery could still see quite a few targets, as he's probably the third option in the offense behind Foster and DeAndre Hopkins .
Bears S Antrel Rolle (ankle) doesn't practice Thursday
Antrel Rolle (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, the Chicago Bears ' official site reports.
Rolle came out of Sunday's game with an ankle injury, but despite clean X-rays, he has yet to practice this week. If he's eventually ruled out, Harold Jones-Quartey is the logical candidate to fill in at strong safety.
Texans RB Arian Foster listed as active Thursday
Arian Foster (groin) is listed as active for Thursday's game against the Colts.
With fellow RB Jonathan Grimes inactive and Chris Polk banged up, Foster and Alfred Blue represent the team's healthiest backfield options heading into Thursday's action. In his return to the Houston Texans ' lineup this past Sunday, Foster recorded just 10 yards on eight carries to go along with three catches for 25 yards, but we'd expect Houston's top back to see an uptick in touches and production in his second game back from injury.
Indianapolis Colts' Mike Adams Listed as active
Mike Adams (neck) is listed as active for Thursday's game against the Texans.
Adams is out there if you need him Thursday as an IDP, on the heels of back-to-back eight-tackle efforts for the Indianapolis Colts .
Texans RB Chris Polk is active Thursday night
Chris Polk (knee) is active for Thursday's game against the Colts, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
With Jonathan Grimes (knee) ruled out, Polk will serve as the No. 3 running back behind Arian Foster and Alfred Blue. Polk is dealing with a knee injury of his own, but he's at least available in the event of am emergency.
Texans QB Ryan Mallett is active for Thursday's game
Ryan Mallett (chest) is active for Thursday's game against the Colts, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Mallett was never in danger of missing the game, but he could be in danger of losing his job if he turns in another poor performance. With Arian Foster ready for a full workload and Andrew Luck (shoulder) sidelined, the Houston Texans will likely fall far short of their league-leading 50.3 pass attempts per game.
