Ravens DST remain a strong Fantasy option Week 14
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson might prove to be an issue Week 14, but the passing game won't be. The Vikings rank 25th in pass offense, averaging 210.6 yards per game. Surprisingly, however, the Vikings rank 13th in scoring offense, averaging 24.1 points per game. Though, Peterson's 11 touchdowns (10 rushing) have a lot to do with that.
DSTs are averaging 10.8 Fantasy points per week against Minnesota, which is the ninth-highest average. Only three DSTs have scored less than 10 Fantasy points in 12 games against Minnesota.
The Ravens DST has scored less than 10 points just three times this season, so Week 14 remains a good time to keep them active in all Fantasy formats. The Ravens have the potential to be a top 5 DST this week.
Dennis Pitta on verge of return to game action
It now appears likely that
Pitta is working in practice for the third staight week after losing most of the season to a dislocated and fractured hip sustained in training camp in July.
The Ravens can certainly use a healthy and productive Pitta. Fellow tight ends Ed Dickson and Dallas Clark have struggled all year.

Steer clear of Vikings DST despite good matchup
The Vikings will look for their first two-game winning streak Week 14 at Baltimore. Luckily for the defense, the Ravens don't have a high-powered offense. Baltimore ranks 29th in total offense (309 yards per game) and 25th in scoring offense (20.8 points per game).
Still, the Vikings have had trouble slowing down everyone this season. They haven't held an opponent under 20 points and have held just one opponent under 300 total yards in 12 games.
DSTs are averaging 11.4 Fantasy points per week against the Ravens, which is the eighth-highest average. Only three times have DSTs scored less than 10 points against the Ravens, with the Steelers doing it twice.
While on paper it looks like a favorable matchup, you have to be real gutsy to start the Vikings DST Week 14.

Absolutely no reason to play Bears DST
The unit has totaled 11 Fantasy points the past two weeks, despite favorable matchups. Now Chicago gets a Dallas team giving up the fewest Fantasy points (5.0 per game) to opposing DSTs.
This Bears' defense reminds no one of the Monsters of the Midway. Chicago ranks 28th in points allowed (27.7) and total defense (386.0) and dead last in rush defense (153.6). Leave the Bears DST on the waiver wire.
Patriots drop D.J. Williams
The rapid recovery of Michael Hoomanawanui from a knee injury apparently made Williams expendable.

Jets DST a fringe starting option Week 14
The Jets head into Week 14 riding a three-game losing streak and now face a team in the Raiders trying to end a two-game losing streak. Luckily for New York, the Raiders don't have a high-powered offense. Oakland ranks 22nd in total offense (331.3 yards per game) and 26th in scoring offense (19.8 points per game).
DSTs have had good success against Oakland, averaging 12.5 Fantasy points per game, which is the sixth-highest average. Though, no DST has scored more than eight points since Matt McGloin took over as the starting quarterback three weeks ago.
The Jets are a mess right now, but there's a chance Sunday's game against the Raiders could be a low-scoring affair. The Jets could pass as a low-end No. 1 Fantasy DST Week 14.
