Jets' Eric Decker admits 'it's hard to watch' former team
"Honestly, sometimes it’s hard to watch them when they’re playing," Decker said. "When they’re clicking on all cylinders, they’re a tough football team. They got the right pieces."
Decker also commented on the success of wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, who was signed in free agency to replace Decker. Sanders has totaled 67 catches for 954 yards and seven touchdowns through 10 games.
"Emmanuel Sanders is playing well in my spot, so to speak," Decker said. "Sometimes, you know, it’s tough to see all the success. But that’s football. It’s going to go in swings. Who says we can’t be a great football team? We got to obviously do some right things to get there, but I’m happy for Peyton and Demaryius (Thomas). I respect them so much. They’re all good friends, so I like to see them do well, but sometimes it’s hard."
Report: Bucs' Sims, Martin will play Week 12 at Chicago
Zimmer: Peterson likely to return to Vikings after reinstatement
"I think Adrian wants to be back here," Zimmer said. "You have to ask him. I don't know. But I know he does have an awful lot of people here who have supported him, and I don't know who he's speaking of who doesn't. All I know of Adrian is that he's always been great with me, always done what I've asked him to do, and I kind of go by what I see."
However, in an exclusive interview with USA Today on Thursday, Peterson hinted that he hasn't received support from some within the Vikings organization and playing for a different team is a possibility.
"I know who loves me. The coaches and the players, it's not going to be a problem. I've felt so much support from those guys," Peterson said. "The organization, I know there's people in the organization that support me and there's people that I know internally that has not been supporting me. Maybe it's best for me to get a fresh start somewhere else.
"I would love to go back and play in Minnesota to get a feel and just see if my family still feels comfortable there. But if there's word out that, hey, they might release me, then so be it. I would feel good knowing that I've given everything I had in me."
Peterson will have his appeal of the suspension heard Dec. 2. If he loses the appeal, he might explore his legal options and seek damages for missing the season, according to NFL.com National Insider Ian Rapoport.
Report: Benching RG3 is 'not out of the question'
The landscape has changed for RG3 and there are no more special rules for him, including his family having all-access to the team's facilities.
However, the Redskins will try to make it easy on Griffin during Sunday's game against the 49ers. The game plan is for Griffin to make quick throws to the team's playmakers. They want to give Griffin easy reads, so he can get rid of the football quickly. They have tinkered with the game plan all week, according to Rapoport.
Team sources said Gruden received support from upper management on his critical assessment of Griffin's play.
"He's auditioned long enough," Gruden told NFL Network recently. "Clock's ticking. He's gotta play. We'll see. ... We want Robert to excel, we really do. But the last two games, it hasn't been very good, anywhere. We gotta play better around him. And the biggest thing for us as play-callers, and for him, we just have to come together and jell with plays he's comfortable with. That takes time. But we don't have a lot of time."

Ruling on Ray Rice's reinstatement expected early this week
A ruling on running back
Rice's appeal of an indefinite suspension has been under review for 10 days. The judge's ruling is expected before Thanksgiving, with it possibly happening Monday.
Even if Rice is reinstated, he has been advised teams might shy away from him in the current climate. A return in 2015, however, could still be a possibility.
