Raiders linebacker Sio Moore (neck), defensive tackle Vance Walker (concussion) and tight end Nick Kasa (concussion) all left Sunday's game against the Jets due to injuries. The Raiders are back in action Week 15 vs. Kansas City.
Two receivers, one back do little for Lions in loss at Philadelphia
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
Veteran pass catchers Nate Burleson and Brandon Pettigrew made minor contributions for the Lions in their loss to the Eagles on Sunday. Burleson caught two passes for 18 yards while Pettigrew snagged one in the first half for 23 yards.
Running back Theo Riddick added 12 yards on four carries.
The Broncos DST was carved up on the ground Week 14 against the Titans.
Tennessee jumped out to a lead early, scoring on their first two drives. The Broncos had trouble with the run early, allowing three rushing touchdowns before halftime. Denver eventually held Chris Johnson and Shonn Greene in check, but the damage had already been done. Outside of Justin Hunter, the team did a great job limiting Tennessee's receivers. They were also without Champ Bailey for the game. Denver will take on the Chargers Week 15.
The Buccaneers DST unit utterly dominated the Bills in Week 14, holding them to just two field goals in a 27-6 win.
The Buccaneers allowed Buffalo's offense to rack up just 214 yards on the game, while averaging a paltry 3.5 yards per play. They intercepted EJ Manuel four times, and added another turnover on a muffed punt. Tampa Bay's defense harassed Manuel all game long, eventually bringing him down seven times for sacks.
The Bills offense had actually been playing pretty well entering this game, so the Buccaneers certainly exceeded expectations. They probably have a more difficult task ahead of them in Week 15, however, with the 49ers on the schedule.
Jets kicker Nick Folk ended his scoring slump Week 14 vs. Oakland, finishing with 13 points during a 37-27 win. Folk, who made just 2 of 3 field goals and totaled eight points in his previous three games, was a perfect 3 for 3 on field goals Sunday.
Folk kicked off the scoring with a 41-yard field goal on the opening drive. He added a 23-yard field goal in the second quarter, and his third field goal was a 51-yard field goal in the third quarter. Folk added four extra points.
Folk finished with at least 10 points for the fifth time this season. The Jets are back in action Week 15 at Carolina.
Broncos kicker Matt Prater had a big game Week 14 against the Titans.
Prater hit on all three of his field goals, including an NFL-record 64 yarder as time expired in the first half. The kick was dead-on, but barely made it over the crossbar. The Broncos offense was efficient otherwise, giving him six extra point attempts. Prater will take on the Chargers Week 15.
On first-and-goal from the 2-yard line midway through the first quarter Week 14 at Green Bay, Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez broke free at the line of scrimmage for a wide-open touchdown.
Gonzalez's production again was lacking -- he caught three passes for 25 yards, giving him an average of 40.4 yards in his last five games -- but with two touchdowns in as many games, he remains one of quarterback Matt Ryan's preferred targets in the red zone.
Gonzalez has been inconsistent from week to week this season, going for more than 60 yards in only four of his 13 games. He'll look to make it five with a favorable matchup Week 15 against the Redskins.
Buccaneers tight end Timothy Wright brought in just two passes in Week 14 against the Bills, but made one of them count as he scored his third touchdown of the season in a 27-6 win.
Wright picked up just 21 yards on his two catches, and it was the shorter of his two receptions that made his day. Wright scored from 5 yards out in the second quarter, giving him his third career touchdown.
Wright's numbers are decent for a rookie tight end, as he heads into Week 15 against the 49ers with 38 catches for 403 yards on the season.
