Giants' Prince Amukamara: Slated to play
Amukamara should provide a nice boost to the
Buccaneers' Bradley McDougald: In on 64 snaps in Week 11
Bradley McDougald tallied 64 snaps in Tampa's Week 11 victory, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Bucs' starting strong safety appears firmly entrenched in his position at the moment, and has been earning it with progressively stronger play over recent weeks. McDougald will be an integral part of Tampa's defensive attack against the multi-pronged Colts ground game in Week 12, as well as in pass coverage versus downfield threats T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief and Coby Fleener.
Buccaneers' Chris Conte: In on 64 snaps in Week 11
Chris Conte was in on 64 snaps in Tampa's Week 11 victory, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Conte continues to distinguish himself in what might end up being the best season of his five-year career. The Bucs' starting free safety posted a season-high in tackles in Week 11 while also collecting his second interception of 2015. Conte has also now amassed 65 tackles, two forced fumbles and six passed defensed over 10 games this year.
Buccaneers' Gerald McCoy: In on 57 snaps in Week 11
Gerald McCoy was in on 57 snaps in Tampa's Week 11 victory, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Pro Bowl defensive tackle had his most productive outing in several weeks versus the Eagles, and helped keep Mark Sanchez off balance the majority of the contest. McCoy has continued to receive a full complement of playing time despite a season-long shoulder ailment, and barring any further injury, this should continue to hold true for the Bucs' final six games.
Buccaneers' Kwon Alexander: Plays on 63 snaps in Week 11
Kwon Alexander played on 63 snaps in Tampa's Week 11 victory, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Like teammate and fellow Iron Man Lavonte David, Alexander also received his first snaps off this season. The rookie middle linebacker has proven to be a steal, but his outstanding first-year campaign is currently in danger of being marred by a four-game suspension for PED use that Alexander is reportedly appealing. The LSU product will take the field versus the Colts in Week 12 if the suspension is overturned or remains under review.
Buccaneers' Lavonte David: Plays 63 snaps in Week 11
Lavonte David was in on 63 snaps in Week 11, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
David actually received his first snaps off all season during the 45-17 blowout of the Eagles, and produced an effort worthy of the NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. The rest was likely a positive for the star linebacker as the Bucs enter the stretch run of the season still in contention for a wild-card spot. David and the Bucs take on the Colts in Indianapolis in Week 12.
Texans' Kareem Jackson: Practices Wednesday
Kareem Jackson (ankle) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.
Jackson, who has been inactive the last four games with an ankle injury, looks like he'll be returning to the active lineup Week 12 against the Saints.
Texans' Brian Hoyer: Practices Wednesday
Hoyer, who missed the last game and a half, has managed to avoid mistakes this season with just four interceptions and 13 touchdowns in seven games. This has the makings of a good week for Hoyer as New Orleans ranks last in scoring defense (31.5 ppg), overall defense (424.3 ypg) and passing touchdowns allowed (28).
Saints' Chris Owens: Set to sign with Saints
Owens was most recently with Detroit, where he was eventually placed on IR only to be released in late-October. The defense back most recently saw playing time with the Chiefs in 2014, when he accumulated 33 combined tackles over 11 games.
Falcons' Matt Bryant: Limited Wednesday
Matt Bryant was limited in practice Wednesday due to a right quadriceps injury.
Until the Atlanta Falcons sign another kicker, Bryant should be considered good to go for Sunday's contest against the Vikings. Typically one of the highest-scoring kicking options in the NFL, he's fallen all the way to 18th in scoring with 68 points, as the Falcons have sputtered after a fast start to the season.
