Redskins running back Evan Royster twisted his left ankle on a 3-yard catch early in the second quarter Week 14 against the Chiefs and had to be carted off the field. He was ruled out for the rest of the contest with a high ankle sprain.
Royster had just the one catch before leaving. He entered the game with only two touches all season.
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was carted to the locker room in the second quarter of Sunday's game at Baltimore with an ankle injury. His return is questionable.
Peterson was hurt after making a 4-yard catch near the sideline. Ravens linebacker Arthur Brown fell on Peterson's legs as he was trying to make the tackle. Peterson was immediately writhing in pain on the ground and had to be helped to the sidelines before being carted to the locker room.
Peterson was having trouble getting going prior to getting hurt due to the heavy snow on the field in Baltimore. He had just seven carries for 13 yards and one catch for 4 yards before leaving the game. He was replaced by Toby Gerhart in the backfield.
