Buccaneers tight end Timothy Wright brought in just two passes in Week 14 against the Bills, but made one of them count as he scored his third touchdown of the season in a 27-6 win.
Wright picked up just 21 yards on his two catches, and it was the shorter of his two receptions that made his day. Wright scored from 5 yards out in the second quarter, giving him his third career touchdown.
Wright's numbers are decent for a rookie tight end, as he heads into Week 15 against the 49ers with 38 catches for 403 yards on the season.
Riley Cooper catches three of nine targets in win over Lions
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
What appeared to be a significant contribution from Eagles wideout Riley Cooper on Sunday against Detroit was not one upon further review.
Cooper did catch three passes for 74 yards, including a two-point conversion that gave his team the lead for good two minutes into the fourth quarter. But he was targeted a team-high nine times, indicating that he was out of sync with quarterback Nick Foles.
The two will try to get back in sync Sunday at Minnesota.
Broncos tight end Julius Thomas found the end zone Week 14 against the Titans.
Thomas caught five passes for 35 yards, and hooked up with Peyton Manning on an 8 yard score in the second quarter. Thomas wasn't much of a big play threat, and was mainly used on short routes. While he didn't seem limited after missing two games with a knee injury, the team may have opted to use him on shorter routes in his first game back. His final target was marked as a deep pass, so he may be capable of doing more next week. Thomas will take on the Chargers Week 15.
Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski made two field goals Week 14 against the Jets, but he also missed his eighth field goal of the season. Janikowski finished with nine points in a 37-27 loss.
Janikowski missed his first field goal -- a 52-yard attempt in the first quarter. He kicked it from the right hash mark and hooked it wide right. Though, Janikowski would bounce back with a 41-yard field goal in the second quarter and a 40-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. He finished with three extra points.
The Raiders are back in action Week 15 vs. Kansas City.
Chargers running back Danny Woodhead turned in another solid performance as he found the end zone for the fourth time over his last five games during Sunday's win over the Giants in Week 14.
Woodhead caught a short, 6-yard touchdown pass from Philip Rivers with 24 seconds remaining in the first half. Woodhead also made an acrobatic 39-yard catch on a pass that was tipped by him and the defender. He finished the game with 94 yards of total offense, logging 42 yards on seven carries (6.0 yards per carry) and 52 yards on four receptions with a touchdown in a 37-14 victory.
Woodhead has three touchdown receptions over his last five and at least four catches in each of those games. He'll look to stay productive in Week 15 against the Broncos.
Buccaneers wide receiver Tiquan Underwood was held without a catch in Week 14 against the Bills Sunday, in a 27-6 win. Underwood was unable to haul in any of the five passes thrown his way by Mike Glennon, though he wasn't alone in that regard. Glennon completed just nine passes in the game.
Underwood has seen his yardage total decrease by almost exactly 50 in the last three games, going from 108 yards in Week 12, to 51 last week. He will try to get back on track in Week 15, against the 49ers.
Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas found the end zone Week 14 against the Titans.
Thomas had another solid game, catching seven passes for 88 yards. He connected with Peyton Manning on a 4 yard pass in the third quarter. Thomas was targeted 10 times, which tied him for second on the team. Thomas has now caught 11 touchdowns this season. He'll look for number 12 Week 15 against the Chargers.
DeSean Jackson gets Eagles moving with touchdown on Sunday
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson achieved what nobody else could Sunday in snowy Philadelphia. He caught a touchdown pass.
Jackson snagged a 19-yarder late in the third quarter to put his team on the board after it fell behind, 14-0. It was his last reception, giving him four for 59 yards on the afternoon. Jackson has just seven catches for 95 yards in his last two games combined after catching 13 for 312 yards in his previous three.
He will attempt to get on track when the Eagles play at Minnesota next Sunday.
Ravens kicker Justin Tucker settled for three extra points during a 29-26 win Week 14 vs. Minnesota. Tucker didn't even get to attempt a field goal, which is the first time that's happened to Tucker all season.
The three points was his lowest output since totaling two points Week 2 against the Browns. Tucker had averaged 14.5 points in his previous two games.
