Brandon LaFell, Shane Vereen limited for Patriots
LaFell is dealing with a shoulder injury. Vereen was listed with an ankle issue. Both players have been active for every game this season. Their statuses will be determined by how much work they can put in on Thursday and Friday.
Seahawks C Max Unger not practicing Wednesday
Coach Pete Carroll said Unger had a "tough recovery" after participating in last Friday's practice.
Chiefs' Jamaal Charles puts in limited work on Wednesday
Charles was listed with both an ankle and knee injury. He's missed one game this season, but has been able to play through bumps and bruises for the most part. Charles' status will likely be determined based on how much work he can put in on Thursday and Friday.
DeMarco Murray to wear protective padding, not cast, if he plays
"I think we need to see something where there’s a comfort level we all have and certainly a comfort level that he has," coach Jason Garrett told the paper. "Carrying the football is an important responsibility. You have to be able to do it."
Dallas is a 3-point home favorite over the Colts on Sunday. If Murray can't play,
Randle is averaging 7.0 yards per carry and would be the favorite to start, but he hasn't gotten more than two carries in a game since Week 10. Dunbar is a better receiver than Randle and would handle most of the passing downs.
Murray underwent surgery Monday, one day after breaking a bone in his left hand. He leads the NFL with 351 carries for 1,687 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
Chiefs' Dwayne Bowe unable to practice on Wednesday
Bowe is dealing with an illness. He's yet to miss a game this season, and his status will likely be determined by how much work he can put in on Thursday and Friday.
Vikings RB Matt Asiata limited with foot injury
Ravens WR Torrey Smith not on injury report
He'll visit the Texans on Sunday.
49ers RB Carlos Hyde does not expect to play Week 16
Veteran running back
Bills' C.J. Spiller able to practice on Wednesday
Spiller has been medically cleared for contact, but has yet to be added to the team's 53-man roster. Spiller is attempting to come back from a broken collarbone, and said the team will likely make a decision on his status later in the week. "We’ll see how I feel [Thursday] when I come in," Spiller said. "If it is we’ll keep plugging away and I’m pretty sure they’ll consult with me and see how I feel and we’ll make a decision."
For what it's worth, the team has already cleared a roster spot for Spiller, releasing fullback Frank Summers. Head coach Doug Marrone admitted Spiller looked pretty good in practice as well. "I’m not going to sit up here and see he didn’t look good," Marrone said "He looked good."
Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph dealing with knee, ankle injuries
If Rudolph can't play Sunday at Miami, Chase Ford would start. Ford has 22 catches for 236 yards and a touchdown in nine games played.
