The Eagles checked in with free agent defensive end Lamarr Houston, but he's likely out of their price range, reports CSNPhilly.com. Houston, who spent his first four seasons with the Raiders, has drawn interest from the Packers and other teams.
Free agent cornerback Alterraun Verner is not planning any visits and likely will sign with a team shortly after the market opens at 4 p.m. ET Tuesday, reports the New York Daily News. The 25-year-old Pro Bowler, who had five interceptions for the Titans last season, is drawing interest from multiple teams and could command more than $10 million annually.
The Vikings will sign free agent linebacker Jasper Brinkley to a one-year deal, reports Fox Sports. Brinkley, 28, appeared in 15 games for the Cardinals last season after spending his first four seasons with Minnesota.
The five-year deal defensive end Everson Griffen signed with the Vikings is worth $42.5 million, including $20 million guaranteed, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter. The contract indicates Griffen will be an every-down player for the first time.
Future Hall of Fame defensive end Jared Allen "has whittled down his suitors to less than five teams and Minnesota is not among them," reports CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, adding Allen aims to join a contender.
The Vikings asked for the right to match any offer Allen receives and expressed strong interest in bringing him back, "but that is not in the plans right now," La Canfora wrote.
