Gary Barnidge caught seven passes (on 11 targets) for a team-high 91 yards in Monday night's loss to the Ravens.
Barnidge was one of three Cleveland Browns players to see double-digit targets Monday night, when his 91 yards paced Cleveland in the category. The veteran tight end has clearly established himself as a preferred option in the Browns' passing game, no matter where the offense is positioned on the field. That reliability should lend itself nicely to a Browns' quarterback situation that is once again in flux following starter Josh McCown's (collarbone) latest injury Monday night.
Duke Johnson rushed for 27 yards on seven carries and caught five passes (on six targets) for 23 yards in Monday night's loss to the Ravens.
Johnson's seven carries Monday matched that of teammate Isaiah Crowell, but compared to Crowell's mere seven yards, Johnson's 27 led the Cleveland Browns . While that total is still wildly underwhelming, Johnson's five receptions salvaged some fantasy value. Overall, the rookie has made a far bigger impact as a pass-catcher this season, making him of most use in PPR leagues.
Justin Houston (knee) is week-to-week with a sprained PCL, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Although a sprained PCL isn't overly serious, Houston will likely still miss at least one game. He already missed most of Sunday's win over the Bills, allowing Frank Zombo to get extensive playing time at left outside linebacker. The drop-off would be significant for the Kansas City defense, even if it's only for a game or two.
Cardinals' Chris Johnson: Expected to miss 6-8 weeks
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Johnson (fractured tibia) is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
The diagnosis of a fractured tibia hasn't been confirmed by the Cardinals, but assuming the reports are accurate, Johnson will miss the rest of the regular season. With Andre Ellington (turf toe) also likely to miss time, rookie David Johnson is set to lead the Arizona backfield. The Cardinals likely still hope to have Chris Johnson back at some point during the playoffs.
Austin Davis completed 7-of-10 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown after replacing teammate Josh McCown (collarbone) in the fourth quarter of Monday night's game against the Ravens.
Davis was preferred to demoted teammate Johnny Manziel after McCown went down during the fourth quarter, and impressed in his first action for the Cleveland Browns . Not only did Davis complete 70 percent of his passes, but he also connected with Travis Benjamin for a 42-yard, game-tying touchdown with under two minutes left in Monday's game. With doubts surrounding McCown's availability going forward this season, it'll be interesting to monitor the Browns' quarterback situation, as Davis made a strong case to keep Manziel in coach Mike Pettine's doghouse Monday night.
Kellen Moore will be promoted from the practice squad to serve as Matt Cassel's backup for the remainder of the season, the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports.
The former Boise St. standout has yet to take a regular season snap in the NFL, but Moore could see some work if and when the Dallas Cowboys are officially eliminated from playoff contention in the weak NFC East and begin looking ahead to 2016.
Crockett Gillmore caught three passes (on four targets) for 20 yards in Monday night's win over the Browns.
Gillmore didn't get much going Monday night with promoted backup Matt Schaub leading the Baltimore Ravens ' offense. In fact, Gillmore's 20 receiving yards marked his second-lowest tally of the season. Nonetheless, Gillmore had a 100-yard performance and two touchdowns over his three games prior to Monday, so he'll look to bounce back in Week 13 against the Dolphins.
Josh McCown (collarbone) may miss the rest of the season, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
The Cleveland Browns haven't provided any confirmation, but a broken collarbone is the most likely injury. If McCown can't play again this season, the team would then have to decide between Austin Davis and Johnny Manziel at quarterback, just one week after benching the latter for off-field reasons. Davis replaced McCown in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Ravens, engineering a game-tying touchdown drive but also making a couple of key mistakes. There should be another update available at some point Tuesday.
Kamar Aiken caught six passes (on 10 targets) for 80 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's win over the Browns.
Aiken led the Baltimore Ravens in all receiving categories Monday, which marked his second straight game with a red zone touchdown. While that's surely a promising development for Baltimore's make-shift No. 1 wideout, Aiken's rapport with promoted backup quarterback Matt Schaub also helps his case looking ahead. Over his past four games, Aiken has accumulated 24 catches on 38 targets, evidencing his consistent role in the Ravens' injury-ravaged offense.
Javorius Allen rushed 12 times for 55 yards and caught four passes for 29 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's win over the Browns.
Allen led all players in rushing Monday night, and although he just cracked the 50-yard mark, Allen's 4.6 yards per carry is encouraging going forward. Additionally, the rookie fourth-rounder's five targets only trailed wideout Kamar Aiken on the Baltimore Ravens , and Allen also scored his first career touchdown with a 13-yard catch during the second quarter. With some dual-threat utility in wake of Justin Forsett (broken arm) and Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot) being out for the season, Allen's fantasy stock is on the rise as the campaign comes to a close.
