Bills running back LeSean McCoy unable to practice Wednesday
Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy McCoy (hamstring) will practice Wednesday, wgr550.com reports.
At this stage, McCoy has not been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans , which could result in Anthony Dixon getting more touches in Week 5.
Bears cornerback Tracy Porter enters starting lineup Sunday
Chicago Bears cornerback Tracy Porter entered the starting lineup in Sunday's win over the Oakland Raiders , collecting two tackles and knocking down one pass while seeing 58 snaps.
After missing the first two weeks of the season with a hamstring injury and seeing limited action in the Week 3 blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks , Porter surprisingly displaced Alan Ball from the starting lineup.
He generally fared well in holding upstart rookie Amari Cooper in check, as the No. 4 overall pick reeled in only four of nine targets for 49 yards and a touchdown, with nickel back Sherrick McManis bearing more responsibility on the score than Porter.
With Porter now well removed from the hamstring pull that limited him through much of training camp, it's likely that he'll remain in the starting lineup and function as the Bears' No. 1 corner ahead of Ball and the struggling Kyle Fuller . Look for Porter to match up with the Kansas City Chiefs ' Jeremy Maclin in Week 5.
Bills WR Sammy Watkins misses practice, still could play Week 5
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins (calf) won't practice Wednesday.
While Watkins will begin the Bills' practice week on the sidelines, coach Rex Ryan relayed the wideout's absence doesn't preclude him from being available Sunday against the Tennessee Titans .
Bears safety Adrian Amos makes five tackles Sunday
Chicago Bears safety Adrian Amos notched five tackles in Sunday's 22-20 win over the Raiders.Amos has recorded exactly five tackles in three of the Bears' four games this season, but his lack of turnover production thus far makes him mostly irrelevant for individual defensive player purposes.
Bills RB Karlos Williams misses first practice of Week 5
Buffalo Bills running back Karlos Williams (concussion) will not practice Wednesday.
While the Bills have yet to rule Williams out this week, coach Rex Ryan suggested Wednesday that in the event that both LeSean McCoy and Williams are unavailable Sunday against the Tennessee Titans , Anthony Dixon would start Week 5.
Bears linebacker Christian Jones has five tackles in win over Raiders
Chicago Bears linebacker Christian Jones accumulated five tackles in the Bears' Week 4 win over the Oakland Raiders .
Jones remains entrenched as a starter at the middle linebacker spot next to Shea McClellin , especially after his top threat to the starting job, Jon Bostic , was recently dealt to the New England Patriots .
However, Jones has a ways to go before ascending to individual defensive player relevance, as his 5 1/2 tackles per game so far this season don't represent high-end production from the linebacker spot.
Pernell McPhee continues to be standout defensive player for Bears
Chicago Bears linebacker Pernell McPhee accumulated a team-high eight tackles and an interception in Sunday's 22-20 win over the Oakland Raiders .
The Bears' decision to ink McPhee to a five-year, $40 million deal in March looks to be a wise move through four games. McPhee has been the clear standout player on the Bears' defense, collecting 24 stops and two sacks in addition to the interception.
Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio should continue to devise a variety of blitz packages to maximize McPhee's impact on the opposing passing game.
X-rays come back clean for Bears safety Antrel Rolle
X-rays on Chicago Bears safety Antrel Rolle 's foot came back clean after he was forced out of Sunday's win over the Oakland Raiders due to injury, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
It looks like Rolle avoided a serious injury after he left the locker room sporting a walking boot Sunday, but his status for this week's game against the Kansas City Chiefs remains in some peril. Perhaps in anticipation of Rolle sitting out Sunday, the Bears signed Sherrod Martin on Tuesday to add depth to their safety ranks.
Bears sign safety Sherrod Martin to one-year deal
Safety Sherrod Martin signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears on Tuesday, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Martin, who was cut by the Bears in training camp, re-signed with the team after Antrel Rolle suffered a foot injury in Sunday's win over the Oakland Raiders . If Rolle is unavailable for Week 5, Martin or backup Harold Jones-Quartey could see the start at strong safety.
Ravens wide receiver Chris Givens will see action immediately
Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that wide receiver Chris Givens will be included in the Ravens' game plan for the team's Week 5 matchup with the Cleveland Browns , Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Harbaugh did not say exactly how or how much Givens will be involved, but it appears the Ravens will be counting on him in the passing game right off the bat. With Steve Smith (back) and Breshad Perriman (knee) out for Week 5, Givens figures to be either No. 3 or No. 4 on the wide receiver depth chart in his team debut.
