Texans' Kareem Jackson: Practices Wednesday
Kareem Jackson (ankle) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.
Jackson, who has been inactive the last four games with an ankle injury, looks like he'll be returning to the active lineup Week 12 against the Saints.
Texans' Brian Hoyer: Practices Wednesday
Hoyer, who missed the last game and a half, has managed to avoid mistakes this season with just four interceptions and 13 touchdowns in seven games. This has the makings of a good week for Hoyer as New Orleans ranks last in scoring defense (31.5 ppg), overall defense (424.3 ypg) and passing touchdowns allowed (28).
Saints' Chris Owens: Set to sign with Saints
Owens was most recently with Detroit, where he was eventually placed on IR only to be released in late-October. The defense back most recently saw playing time with the Chiefs in 2014, when he accumulated 33 combined tackles over 11 games.
Falcons' Matt Bryant: Limited Wednesday
Matt Bryant was limited in practice Wednesday due to a right quadriceps injury.
Until the Atlanta Falcons sign another kicker, Bryant should be considered good to go for Sunday's contest against the Vikings. Typically one of the highest-scoring kicking options in the NFL, he's fallen all the way to 18th in scoring with 68 points, as the Falcons have sputtered after a fast start to the season.
Panthers' Philly Brown: Questionable for Thursday
Corey Brown (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game in Dallas.
Limited in practice all week, Brown didn't signal whether his DNP streak will stop at one game or extend to two. However, active status may not yield much fruit, as his absence this past Sunday allowed rookie Devin Funchess to make his most significant impact as a professional. At best, Brown is the third option in the Carolina Panthers ' 28th-ranked passing attack.
Cardinals' Patrick Peterson: No practice Wednesday
Clearly hobbled after Sunday's victory against the Bengals, Peterson's ankle injury is of keen interest, as the Cardinals may have to do without perhaps the NFL's top-performing cornerback for a period of time. On the other hand, there is a chance that he'll be able to practice by the end of the week, which would do wonders for his potential to suit up this Sunday at San Francisco. If the training staff decides to rest Peterson, Justin Bethel will step into the base defense at corner opposite Jerraud Powers.
Cardinals' Chris Johnson: Limited Wednesday
Chris Johnson (knee) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Johnson is tending to a knee injury at the moment, and his YPC in a given game has topped out at 3.63 over the last three contests (and four of the past five). Still, he's averaged 21 carries per outing during that stretch, meaning capped reps in practice could be strategic in order to get him in a better state of health. Nonetheless, interested parties should watch his activity level as the week continues to learn if he'll be hindered Sunday at San Francisco.
Cardinals' John Brown: Doesn't practice Wednesday
After struggling through a hamstring injury for a few weeks, Brown was able to handle a healthy share of the offensive snaps (53 of 61) in Sunday's win, during which he recorded his first catch since Week 7 in a 43-yard, one-touchdown performance against the Bengals. Wednesday's absence from practice may just be a precautionary measure, and while he may return to practice Thursday, his progress as the week unfolds will reveal whether owners should begin to worry about his Week 12 availability.
Cardinals' Michael Floyd: Limited Wednesday
Michael Floyd (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The appearance at practice marks Floyd's first since sustaining a hamstring injury in Week 10. While an uninhibited showing before week's end would clear up any doubt about his odds of suiting up Sunday at San Francisco, the Cardinals are more apt to make him a game-time call. In particular, head coach Bruce Arians mentioned Monday that Floyd must "open up and go" in order to play in Week 12.
Cardinals' Larry Fitzgerald: Limited Wednesday
Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
If Fitzgerald replicates last week's practice schedule, he'll follow Wednesday's cap in reps with a full showing Thursday, which will pave the way for active status in Week 12 at San Francisco. With a 90-yard effort this past Sunday against the Bengals, he's reached that threshold in six of 10 games this season and will look to do it again against a 49ers pass defense that ranks 27th in the NFL.
