Player News
Mike Fisher
Preds' Fisher Notches Two Points In Loss
Mike Fisher, C, NSH
12:57 PM
News: Mike Fisher factored into all the Nashville offense Thursday, picking up a goal and an assist in a 4-2 loss to the Wild.
Analysis: Mike Fisher's been a scoresheet regular of late, with seven points in his last eight games, but that's nothing new -- he's been producing offense at a terrifically steady rate since returning from the Achilles' heel injury that kept him out of action in the season's early months.

Erik Haula
Wild's Haula Snaps Slump
Erik Haula, LW, MIN
12:54 PM
News: Erik Haula finished with a goal, an assist and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's win over the Preds.
Analysis: The Finnish forward had gone five games without a point and had just a lonely goal in his last 15 games. He's got little to no fantasy value right now, but Erik Haula has been a successful scorer at the University of Minnesota and AHL Iowa, so he does have long-term upside.

Kyle Brodziak
Wild's Brodziak Picks Up Two Points
Kyle Brodziak, C, MIN
12:50 PM
News: Kyle Brodziak notched a goal, an assist and a plus-3 rating Thursday in a win over the Predators.
Analysis: Kyle Brodziak had managed all of three points in his prior 17 games, so this qualifies as an outlier. His middling PIM and hit totals give him some value in super-deep leagues, but that's about it.

Ryan Reaves
Blues' Reaves Picks Up Assist; Sets Career High
Ryan Reaves, RW, STL
9:28 AM
News: Ryan Reaves picked up an assist Thursday in a 2-1 shootout win over Winnipeg. He was plus-1 and added four hits on the night.
Analysis: Ryan Reaves set a new career high in points with nine. Reaves' PIM is down this year, while his shots, hits, and blocks are all up - maybe he is evolving into a different kind of player who can add more fantasy value.

Paul Stastny
Blues' Stastny Grabs Assist In Win
Paul Stastny, C, STL
9:22 AM
News: Paul Stastny picked up an assist Thursday in a 2-1 shootout win over the Jets. He was plus-1 with two shots and a hit in the contest.
Analysis: Paul Stastny broke a mini three-game slump, but he has been a different player since December 1, recording 27 of his season total 34 points in 37 games since then - a 60-point pace. While he continues to center the third line, the Blues have the depth of talent to ensure he has solid linemates and he is seeing significant time on the power play. He is the same kind of fantasy asset that he was with Colorado last year.

Braden Holtby
Capitals' Holtby Starting Friday
Braden Holtby, G, WAS
9:18 AM
News: Braden Holtby will start Friday's game against Carolina, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports.
Analysis: Braden Holtby has been a workhorse this season, and he'll get the starting nod against his backup's former team. The Caps will likely give Holtby a rest within the next few games, as the team has a busy stretch coming over the next week-and-a-half.

Patrik Berglund
Blues' Berglund Scores In Win
Patrik Berglund, C, STL
9:16 AM
News: Patrik Berglund scored the Blues' only goal in regulation, his eighth, Thursday in a 2-1 shootout win over Winnipeg. He was plus-1 and scored on his only shot of the night.
Analysis: Patrik Berglund is a pretty modest offensive contributor for the Blues with just 19 points on the season and helpful only in deeper fantasy leagues because he doesn't fill up ancillary categories very much either. So long as he is among the Blues' top nine forwards he will retain some value since the team is so deep and talented.

Tuukka Rask
Bruins' Rask Dealing With Illness
Tuukka Rask, G, BOS
9:14 AM
News: Tuukka Rask is feeling under the weather, and he remains at the Bruins' hotel ahead of Friday's game against the Devils, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: It sounds as if Tuukka Rask is unlikely to play, in which case Niklas Svedberg would likely get the start. The team may need to recall Malcolm Subban (or another goalie) from AHL Providence, and with Boston heading into the first game of a back-to-back, it's possible Subban could get a start this weekend. Rask is considered questionable for Friday's game, and a decision may not come until pregame warmups, according to NHL.com's Mike Morreale.

Keith Yandle
Coyotes' Yandle Sees Pointless Streak Continue
Keith Yandle, D, ARI
9:11 AM
News: Keith Yandle was held off the scoresheet for the sixth straight game Thursday in a 4-3 loss to the Rangers. He was minus-1 with six shots, one hit, and three blocks on the night.
Analysis: Keith Yandle certainly did not help pump up his value for a potential trade, but the rest of the league knows what he brings to the table. Perhaps more concerning during his recent slump is that he is minus-9 in those six games. Not that his plus/minus is going to be the determining factor in whether he stays or goes, but he now has a league worst minus-32. That's just ugly.

Dalton Prout
Jackets' Prout Particpates In Friday's Practice
Dalton Prout, D, CLB
9:07 AM
News: Dalton Prout (upper body) participated in all drills at Friday's practice, FOX Sports Ohio's Jeff Rimer reports.
Analysis: Dalton Prout hasn't played since Feb. 7, but he may stand a chance to make his return in Saturday's game against the Devils.
