Player News
Jonathan Toews
Hawks' Toews Nets Two Late Goals In Game 5
Jonathan Toews, C, CHI
5/25/2015
News: Jonathan Toews potted a pair of goals in Monday's Game 5 loss to the Ducks.
Analysis: Jonathan Toews temporarily appeared as though he'd be the hero for Chicago as he scored two goals in the final two minutes to force overtime, but the Ducks ended up pulling through less than a minute into the extra period. He's now up to 16 points (seven goals) through 15 playoff games.

Teuvo Teravainen
Hawks' Teravainen Scores And Assists In Game 5
Teuvo Teravainen, LW, CHI
5/25/2015
News: Teuvo Teravainen potted a goal and gathered an assist in Monday's Game 5 loss to the Ducks.
Analysis: Teuvo Teravainen has had a productive two game stretch after being a healthy scratch in Game 3, tallying a goal, two assists, and a plus-3 rating in that span. Considering his recent play, Teravainen figures to be a safe bet to remain in the lineup and occupy his normal spot on the wing on the club's third line.

Patrick Sharp
Hawks' Sharp Grabs Two Points In Game 5 Loss
Patrick Sharp, LW, CHI
5/25/2015
News: Patrick Sharp tallied a pair of assists and six shots in Monday's Game 5 loss to the Ducks.
Analysis: After a fast start to the playoffs with nine points through the first two rounds, Patrick Sharp needed until Game 4 of the Western Finals to get on the scoresheet but he's now tallied three points in the last two games. The winger will likely need another strong showing in Wednesday's Game 6 if the Blackhawks hope to stave off elimination.

Brent Seabrook
Hawks' Seabrook Tallies Two Points In Game 5
Brent Seabrook, D, CHI
5/25/2015
News: Brent Seabrook notched a goal and an assist in Monday's Game 5 loss to the Ducks.
Analysis: Brent Seabrook has had an impressive series thus far, recording four points (two goals, two assists) and a plus-2 rating through five games. He's been logging even more ice time than usual, and will likely need another strong showing to help the Hawks stave off elimination Wednesday.

Corey Crawford
Hawks' Crawford Allows Five In Game 5 Loss
Corey Crawford, G, CHI
5/25/2015
News: Corey Crawford allowed five goals on 28 shots in Monday's Game 5, overtime loss to the Ducks.
Analysis: Corey Crawford struggled early in this one as he allowed three goals in the opening frame, once again fueling speculation that coach Joel Quenneville might elect to turn to Scott Darling. He kept the starter in though, and his mates in front of him battled back with two goals in the final minutes to force it to overtime before Crawford allowed a rebound goal just 45 seconds into the extra frame. Crawford has gone through rough stretches lately in this series, but he figures to be back in net in Wednesday's must-win Game 6.

Emerson Etem
Ducks Send Etem To Press Box For Game 5
Emerson Etem, RW, ANA
5/25/2015
News: Emerson Etem isn't on the ice for pregame warmups and looks to be a healthy scratch for Monday's Game 5 against the Blackhawks, Mark Divver of the Providence Journal reports.
Analysis: Despite scoring a goal in Saturday's Game 4, Emerson Etem will surprisingly find himself in the press box, as coach Bruce Boudreau decides to go with the veteran Tomas Fleischmann. The fourth-line arrangement looks to be a very fluid situation for the Ducks, so it's quite possible that Fleischmann and Etem could have their roles flip-flopped for Game 6.

Andrei Kostitsyn
KHLer Kostitsyn Entertaining NHL Return
Andrei Kostitsyn, LW, FLA
5/25/2015
News: Andrei Kostitsyn will pursue a return to the NHL this summer, Chris Johnston of Sportsnet reports.
Analysis: The former Canadiens winger and 10th overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft has spent the last four seasons in the KHL and tallied 31 points in 37 games for Sochi HC in 2014-15. A number of organizations are reportedly kicking the tires on a one-year deal for the 30-year-old, who posted three 20-goal campaigns during his stint with the Canadiens. He likely profiles as a third-line option for most NHL squads.

Vladimir Sobotka
Blues Hopeful For Sobotka Return
Vladimir Sobotka, C, STL
5/25/2015
News: Blues GM Doug Armstrong said that the team should know by the end of May whether or not Vladimir Sobotka will rejoin the Blues next season or remain in the KHL, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: After failing to find common ground on a contract with the Blues last summer, Vladimir Sobotka bolted for Russia, where he received a lucrative three-year deal with the KHL's Avangard Omsk worth around $12 million. Playing a feature role for the squad, Sobotka tallied 38 points in 53 games, but could be hungry for a return to the brighter lights of the NHL. Though his contract with Avangard Omsk contains an out clause, Sobotka would likely have to be willing to accept a downgrade in pay, as he would owe the Blues one season at a $2.7 million salary due to a previous arbitration ruling.

Frederik Andersen
Ducks' Andersen Getting Nod For Game 5
Frederik Andersen, G, ANA
5/25/2015
News: Frederik Andersen will be in the crease for Monday's Game 5 against the Blackhawks, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Though the .875 save percentage Frederik Andersen posted in Saturday's Game 4 double-overtime loss was his lowest mark of the postseason, coach Bruce Boudreau only appears to be pondering changes to his forward and defensive ranks for Game 5. Andersen has been dynamite on his home ice during these playoffs, going 6-1 while allowing no more than three goals in any match.

Mats Zuccarello
Zuccarello Traveling With Rangers
Mats Zuccarello, RW, NYR
5/25/2015
News: Mats Zuccarello (upper body) made the trip to Tampa Bay on Monday, but won't play in Tuesday's Game 6, Andrew Gross of the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Mats Zuccarello is still considered day-to-day and has yet to join the team for a full contact practice. As such, he'll be forced to remain out Tuesday, but he could return later in the playoffs if the Rangers are able to stave off elimination.
