Player News
Patrick Eaves
Dallas' Eaves Posts Assist In Second Game Back
Patrick Eaves, RW, DAL
1/31/2015
News: Patrick Eaves had an assist and two shots in Thursday's win over the Senators.
Analysis: Patrick Eaves has collected a point in both of the games since he returned from injury. The former 20-goal scorer and first round pick isn't as reliable as he was in his first couple of seasons, but if you're in a deep league it may be worth keeping an eye on him to see if he can keep it up.

Cody Eakin
Eakin Goes Plus-3 In Stars Win
Cody Eakin, C, DAL
1/31/2015
News: Cody Eakin had an assist and was a plus-3 in the Stars' 6-3 win over Ottawa.
Analysis: Cody Eakin continues to develop into a reliable source of secondary scoring. He finished last season with 16 goals and 19 assists in 81 games and is on pace to best both of those numbers this season.

Brad Richardson
Canucks Place Richardson On IR
Brad Richardson, C, VAN
1/31/2015
News: Brad Richardson (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Friday.
Analysis: The Canucks recalled forward Ronalds Kenins in a corresponding move. Brad Richardson's activity remains limited while he recovers from the ankle injury, taking him out of the running to return to the lineup Friday. Since he's already missed over a week due to the injury, he'll be eligible for activation as soon as the Canucks deem his ready to go.

Vernon Fiddler
Stars' Fiddler Adds Assist In Limited Ice Time
Vernon Fiddler, C, DAL
1/31/2015
News: Vernon Fiddler added an assist in his 11:09 of ice time in Thursday's win over the Senators.
Analysis: Vernon Fiddler is giving you about what'd expect this season. In his ten January games, he posted four goals and two assists. That's about as good as it gets with Fiddler, so if you've rostered him, you should be pleased.

Ales Hemsky
Hesmky Scores On Stars PP
Ales Hemsky, RW, DAL
1/31/2015
News: Ales Hemsky had a power play goal and a pair of penalty minutes in Thursday's win over Ottawa.
Analysis: That's Ales Hemsky's eighth goal of the season. His ice time has been very limited lately, but he's started to produce some offense a little more regularly since late December.

Joe Pavelski
SJ's Pavelski On Three-Game Goal Streak
Joe Pavelski, C, SJ
1/31/2015
News: Joe Pavelski scored on one of four shots in a win over the Ducks on Thursday.
Analysis: Pavs has goals in three straight games and points in four straight. He's on pace to tie last season's goal total of 41, a career-high.

Logan Couture
Couture Adds Assist In Sharks Win
Logan Couture, C, SJ
1/31/2015
News: Logan Couture had an assist and three shots in Thursday's win over the Ducks.
Analysis: January has been good to Logan Couture. Over the last 10 games he's posted four goals and eight assists. His point per game rate is the best of his career with 18 goals and 25 assists through 49 games.

Matt Irwin
Irwin Scores In Sharks' Win
Matt Irwin, D, SJ
1/31/2015
News: Matt Irwin scored the game-winner in Thursday's game against Anaheim.
Analysis: That's Matt Irwin's third goal of the season and second point in as many games. He's only put in 24 games this season, but he's scoring points at a similar rate to last season, when he put up two goals and 17 assists through 62 games. If he can get in the lineup a little more regularly, he has some value in deep leagues.

Matt Tennyson
Tennyson Logs Season-High Ice Time In Sharks' Win
Matt Tennyson, D, SJ
1/31/2015
News: Matt Tennyson had an assist and played a season-high 20:45 in Thursday's win over the Ducks.
Analysis: Matt Tennyson is seeing more consistent ice time over the last month, though his minutes and production are still very limited. The 20:45 of ice time he logged on Thursday is nice, but it's only the second time all season he's crossed 20 minutes; he tends to hover a little closer to 17 minutes a night.

Matt Nieto
Nieto Adds Assist In Limited Time For Sharks
Matt Nieto, LW, SJ
1/31/2015
News: Matt Nieto had an assist, a plus-2 rating and one shot through 10:27 of ice time in Thursday's win over Anaheim.
Analysis: Matt Nieto is coming out of his slump nicely, having posted a goal and two assists in his last five games. He's not working his way toward the Hart Trophy, but it's a significant improvement over the nine-game pointless streak he had going before that.
