Player News
Rich Peverley
No Return Timetable For Stars' Peverley
Rich Peverley, C, DAL
10:55 AM
News: Rich Peverley (chest) remains without a return timetable, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis: Rich Peverley hasn't played in a game since suffering a cardiac event on the bench during a Mar. 10, 2014 tilt with the Blue Jackets. He's been able to work out on his own for quite some time, but until doctors feel comfortable on signing off on his return to competitive action, his career will remain on uncertain ground.

Valeri Nichushkin
March Return Not Ruled Out For Stars' Nichushkin
Valeri Nichushkin, RW, DAL
10:54 AM
News: Valeri Nichushkin (hip) could be able to resume playing at some point in March, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis: Valeri Nichushkin has been off the ice since undergoing hip surgery in mid-November. The young winger will have to get back on the ice in some capacity in next few weeks to improve his chances of playing again this season, but it's at least a positive development that the team isn't closing the door on a return in 2014-15.

Patrik Nemeth
Stars' Nemeth (Arm) Targeting March Return
Patrik Nemeth, D, DAL
10:51 AM
News: Patrik Nemeth (arm) is hopeful to return to action at some point in March, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis: Patrik Nemeth was ruled out for the rest of the regular season after suffering an arm laceration back in October, but apparently, he's recovered faster than the Stars initially anticipated. The rearguard has been able to skate lately, a sign that his muscles, tendons, and ligaments have noticed at least some degree of healing. The Stars will continue to monitor his progress over the next few weeks before potentially allowing him to increase his activity.

Martin Brodeur
Blues' Brodeur Set To Retire
Martin Brodeur, G, STL
10:47 AM
News: Martin Brodeur is set to announce his retirement as a player, NHL.com reports.
Analysis: Per the report, the veteran goalie -- who has been away from the Blues for the past two weeks on a personal leave of absence -- is slated to join the team's front office. The 42-year-old Martin Brodeur, who compiled a 3-3-0 record with a 2.87 GAA in seven games for the Blues this season, finishes up his distinguished NHL career (spent mostly with New Jersey) with an all-time high 691 wins to go along with 125 career shutouts, also an all-time league-high mark.

Tim Sestito
Devils' Sestito Clears Waivers
Tim Sestito, C, NJ
10:41 AM
News: Tim Sestito cleared waivers Tuesday, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
Analysis: Tim Sestito remains on the New Jersey roster for now, but it wouldn't be a surprise if the team reassigned him to AHL Albany at some point in the near future. He'll likely assume a role on the fourth line or as a healthy scratch while he continues to stick around with the Devils.

Ryan White
Flyers Recall White From Minors
Ryan White, C, PHI
10:37 AM
News: Ryan White was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Monday.
Analysis: Ryan White will help the Flyers fill out their bottom-six forward ranks after Zac Rinaldo was handed out an eight-game suspension Monday. After undergoing surgery in August to repair a pectoral muscle, White was sidelined until late December with the injury. He's since played 11 games for Lehigh Valley, logging a goal and two assists.

Viktor Fasth
Oilers To Start Fasth On Tuesday
Viktor Fasth, G, EDM
10:29 AM
News: Viktor Fasth will start Tuesday's game against the Wild.
Analysis: Viktor Fasth, who earned wins in the Oilers' final two games before the NHL All-Star break, checks back in with a 3.37 GAA and .888 save percentage overall.

Taylor Hall
Oilers' Hall Won't Play Tuesday
Taylor Hall, LW, EDM
10:23 AM
News: Taylor Hall (leg) won't play Tuesday against the Wild.
Analysis: Per coach Todd Nelson, Taylor Hall's leg injury "didn't react like (the team) wanted it to overnight" and as a result, the forward -- who absorbed a shot on his leg Monday -- is slated for further testing.

Mike Richards
Kings' Richards Clears Waivers
Mike Richards, C, LA
10:12 AM
News: Mike Richards cleared waivers on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: In the absence of a trade, Mike Richards -- who carries a salary cap hit of $5.75 million for the next five seasons -- thus appears on track to head to AHL Manchester to work on his game.

Joffrey Lupul
Leafs' Lupul Iffy For Wednesday
Joffrey Lupul, RW, TOR
10:05 AM
News: Joffrey Lupul (lower body) is iffy for Wednesday's game against New Jersey, TSN's Jonas Siegel reports.
Analysis: We'll revisit Joffrey Lupul's status as Wednesday's game approaches, but the report suggests that based on Tuesday's practice, it does not appear as though the winger will be available on Wednesday.
