Player News
Yannick Weber
Canucks Retain Weber
Yannick Weber, D, VAN
9:38 AM
News: Yannick Weber signed a one-year deal to remain with the Canucks on Wednesday, the Vancouver Sun reports.
Analysis: Yannick Weber, who recorded 11 goals and 21 points in 65 games for the Canucks this past season, is slated to earn $1.5 million this coming season. He should continue to remain on the fantasy radar this coming season in his return to Vancouver, on the heels of recording a career-high five power play goals for the team in 2014-15.

Matt Halischuk
Jets Re-Sign Halischuk
Matt Halischuk, RW, WPG
9:36 AM
News: Matt Halischuk re-signed Wednesday with the Jets on a one-year, two-way contract, Sara Orlesky of TSN reports. The deal is worth $750,000 at the NHL level.
Analysis: Matt Halischuk only produced three goals and eight points in 47 games last season while averaging less than 10 minutes of ice time per contest in a bottom-six role. Coach Paul Maurice likes Halischuk's ability to play both left and right wing, but that versatility isn't likely to translate into an notable offensive production this coming season.

Adam Pardy
Jets, Pardy Agree On New Deal
Adam Pardy, D, WPG
9:33 AM
News: Adam Pardy (shoulder) re-signed Wednesday with the Jets on a one-year, $1 million contract, Aaron Ward of TSN reports.
Analysis: The Jets' current roster is a bit overloaded on blueliners, but Adam Pardy's cheap contract will enable the team to keep him around as a depth defender. The 31-year-old, who is coming off April shoulder surgery, should be healthy for training camp, but projects as little more than a bottom-pair or No. 7 defenseman. He appeared in 55 games for the Jets last season, scoring no goals and notching nine assists.

Thomas Greiss
Isles Sign Greiss
Thomas Greiss, G, PIT
9:30 AM
News: Thomas Greiss signed a two-year, $3 million deal with the Islanders on Wednesday, Newsday's Arthur Staple reports.
Analysis: The 29-year-old Thomas Greiss compiled a 9-6-3 record, to go along with 2.59 GAA and .908 save percentage for the Penguins last season, while backing up Marc-Andre Fleury. He'll now fill a similar role with the Islanders, while slated to work behind Jaroslav Halak.

Francois Beauchemin
Avs Upgrade Blue Line, Sign Beauchemin
Francois Beauchemin, D, ANA
9:27 AM
News: Francois Beauchemin signed a three-year, $13.5 million contract with the Avalanche on Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis: Francois Beauchemin will give the Avs an experienced, left-handed defender to pair up with the team's most dynamic offensive talent on the blue line, Tyson Barrie. Coach Patrick Roy will largely task Beauchemin will providing sound play in front of netminder Semyon Varlamov, who was routinely barraged by shot attempts last season. At 35 years old, Beauchemin is probably on the downside of his career, but still possesses enough skill as a hitter and shot blocker to help upgrade the Avs' overall defense.

Mikael Granlund
Wild's Granlund Re-Ups For Two Years
Mikael Granlund, C, MIN
9:18 AM
News: Mikael Granlund re-signed Wednesday with the Wild on a two-year, $6 million contract extension, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: Mikael Granlund, who was a restricted free agent, is expected to enter next season as the Wild's top center, pivoting a line that includes Zach Parise and Jason Pominville. The 22-year-old tallied eight goals and 31 points in 68 games in 2014-15, nearly identical production to what he posted a season earlier.

Tom McCollum
Wings Re-Sign McCollum
Tom McCollum, G, DET
9:12 AM
News: The Red Wings re-signed Tom McCollum to a one-year contract Wednesday, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The 25-year-old Tom McCollum -- who saw action in two games with the big club in 2014-15 -- appeared in 37 contests for AHL Grand Rapids last season, recording a 19-11-7 record, to go along with a 2.40 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. He'll reprise his role as a depth goalie for the Wings' organization.

Andy Miele
Red Wings Re-Sign Miele On One-Way Deal
Andy Miele, C, DET
8:55 AM
News: Andy Miele re-signed Wednesday with the Red Wings on a one-year, $575,000 contract, Frank Seravalli of TSN reports.
Analysis: After Andy Miele finished second in the AHL this past season with 70 points for Grand Rapids, the Red Wings elected to ink him to a one-way deal, which should afford him every opportunity to make the club out of training camp. It seems unlikely that Miele would claim a top-six role with the Red Wings even with a strong camp, but he at least offers the team plenty of offensive upside at a cheap price. Miele, 27, has previously appeared in 15 NHL games over the course of his career, failing to tally a goal and notching two assists.

Karri Ramo
Flames Re-Sign Ramo On One-Year Pact
Karri Ramo, G, CGY
8:04 AM
News: Karri Ramo re-signed Wednesday with the Flames on a one-year, $3.8 million contract, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.
Analysis: With two promising goalie prospects in the pipeline in Joni Ortio and Jon Gillies (the former of whom is signed to a one-way deal), it seemed unlikely heading into the summer that the Flames would find room to bring back Karri Ramo. In addition to Ortio and Ramo, the Flames also have Jonas Hiller under contract for 2015-16, which may force the team to trade one of the three goalies. Assuming Ramo sticks around, he should have a fair chance to compete with both Hiller and Ortio for regular starting duties, though it seems doubtful that he'll capture an overwhelming portion of any timeshare. Ramo went 15-9-3 with a 2.60 GAA and .912 save percentage over 34 appearances last season.

Patrick Eaves
Stars' Eaves Signs One-Year Deal
Patrick Eaves, RW, DAL
7:56 AM
News: Patrick Eaves re-signed Wednesday with the Stars on a one-year, $1.15 million contract, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis: Health issues limited Patrick Eaves to just 47 games last season, but he turned in some of the most productive hockey of his career, tallying 14 goals and 27 points. Eaves' fantasy relevance for the coming season will likely hinge on him seeing more frequent ice time with top-line stars Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn, but he'll probably have to hold off the likes of Valeri Nichushkin, Ales Hemsky, and Cody Eakin for those duties.
