Player News
Jonathan Quick
Kings' Quick Expected To Start Monday
Jonathan Quick, G, LA
12/23/2014
News: Jonathan Quick is expected to start Monday against the Flames, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.
Analysis: Jonathan Quick was the first goalie off at morning skate, as Martin Jones stayed in net to get some extra work. All signs point towards the Kings rolling with their top netminder, though it will be confirmed once the teams take the ice for pregame warmups.

Jonas Hiller
Flames' Hiller To Start Monday
Jonas Hiller, G, CGY
12/23/2014
News: Jonas Hiller will start in net Monday against the Kings, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 the FAN reports.
Analysis: An earlier report indicated Karri Ramo would receive the start in net, but it looks as though Jonas Hiller will actually be in net. He stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced in his last start Saturday, and has now lost seven straight games. He will look to turn things around in his last start before the three-day holiday break.

Mike Smith
Coyotes' Smith Gets The Start Monday
Mike Smith, G, ARI
12/23/2014
News: Mike Smith will be between the pipes for Monday's game against the Canucks.
Analysis: Mike Smith is mired in a deep slump that has seen him win just once since Nov. 7. He will square off against a Vancouver team that snapped a five-game losing streak its last time out with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Flames.

Lauri Korpikoski
Coyotes' Korpikoski Out Monday
Lauri Korpikoski, LW, ARI
12/23/2014
News: Lauri Korpikoski (lower body) will not play in Monday's game against the Canucks, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: Lauri Korpikoski is still not healthy, so he will miss his third straight game Tuesday night. Consider him questionable for Arizona's next game Tuesday.

Antti Niemi
Sharks' Niemi Gets The Start Monday
Antti Niemi, G, SJ
12/23/2014
News: Antti Niemi will start Monday's game against the Ducks, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Antti Niemi will look to keep things rolling after winning each of his last seven starts. He will square off against a Ducks team that he knocked off twice earlier this season.

Mike Green
Caps' Green Assists On Two
Mike Green, D, WAS
8:08 PM
News: Mike Green dished out a pair of assists in Monday's 2-1 win over the Senators.
Analysis: Mike Green has been on fire lately with five points in his last three games. He's now got 17 points (four goals) through 25 games after suffering a lower body injury earlier in the season. If the 29-year-old can stay healthy, he should be able to surpass the 40-point mark.

Simon Despres
Pens' Despres Does It Again Monday
Simon Despres, D, PIT
8:07 PM
News: Simon Despres racked up two assists, two blocks and four hits in Monday's loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: He tallied a secondary assist while playing on Pittsburgh's second power-play during a third-period comeback. Pens coach Mike Johnston referred to Simon Despres as a veteran Monday as the 23-year-old has earned his spot on the team's blue line. Although he has only nine points (1G, 8A) in 32 games, Despres will eventually produce offensively for fantasy owners once his role increases from a primarily defensive one.

Derrick Pouliot
Pens' Pouliot Points Again Monday
Derrick Pouliot, D, PIT
7:59 PM
News: Derrick Pouliot picked up his first power-play assist -- and his second point in as many games -- in a 4-3 shootout loss Monday.
Analysis: His wrist shot from high in the slot was re-directed by Nick Spaling and helped Pittsburgh erase a two-goal, third-period deficit. Derrick Pouliot didn't look particularly strong in his own but will get another game under his belt Tuesday, when the Pens travel to Tampa Bay.

Braden Holtby
Caps' Holtby Strong In Win
Braden Holtby, G, WAS
7:58 PM
News: Braden Holtby allowed just one goal on 39 shots in Monday's 2-1 win over the Senators.
Analysis: Braden Holtby's been on a roll of late, with three straight wins to go to 15-7-5 on the season. The 25-year-old has a 2.24 GAA and .920 save percentage, and presents a quality fantasy option going forward.

Erik Condra
Sens' Condra Scores In Loss
Erik Condra, RW, OTT
7:54 PM
News: Erik Condra scored his third goal of the season in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Capitals.
Analysis: Erik Condra now has just three goals on the season, but has now scored in consecutive games. With five points through 20 games, the 28-year-old won't add a ton of value for fantasy purposes.
