News: Mike Smith will be in the crease Saturday vs. the Capitals, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports. Analysis: With wins in two of his last starts, Mike Smith will get the starting nod again as the Coyotes look to claw their way back into the Western Conference playoff picture. Smith's underwhelming ratios (2.71 GAA, .914 save percentage) have damaged much of his fantasy value this season, but his league-leading 53 appearances at least allow his fantasy owners to confidently assume he'll at least have a chance at a win any given night the Coyotes are playing.
News: Coach Claude Julien announced he would use the same lineup for Saturday's game against the Lightning that he used Thursday vs. the Capitals, meaning that Tuukka Rask is the likely starter in goal. Analysis: With Tuukka Rask coming off his sixth shutout of the season in Thursday's win over Washington, it's not much of a surprise that Julien plans to stick with him. The Lightning appear a little more fearsome these days with Steven Stamkos (leg) back in the fold, but it's tough to justify placing Rask on the bench a night after he shut down Alexander Ovechkin and his mates.
