Player News
Tobias Enstrom
Jets' Enstrom Sets Up Two Goals In Loss
Tobias Enstrom, D, WPG
12:07 PM
News: Tobias Enstrom assisted on both of the Jets' two goals in Friday's loss to Tampa Bay.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom now has six points (all assists) in seven games this season, to go with a minus-1 rating. Playing the point on the top power-play unit and averaging 23:49 of ice time per game, Enstrom will continue to produce offense. After a somewhat disappointing 30-point season in 2013-14, expect Enstrom to return to the 40-50 point range in 2014-15.

Derek Stepan
Rangers' Stepan Skating
Derek Stepan, C, NYR
9:36 AM
News: Derek Stepan (leg) has begun skating on his own, Andrew Gross of the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: It's a great sign that Derek Stepan has returned to the ice, but he's still expected to be sidelined for at least another week while his leg fully recovers. The center racked up 17 goals and 40 assists while playing all 82 games for the Rangers last season, and should be a huge part of the team's game plan upon his return.

Ryan Getzlaf
Ducks' Getzlaf Adds Two More Points To Ledger
Ryan Getzlaf, C, ANA
9:34 AM
News: Ryan Getzlaf contributed a goal and assist while attempting five shots in Friday's 4-1 victory over the Blue Jackets.
Analysis: With both Ryan Getzlaf and teammate Corey Perry notching two points Friday, the duo was able to leapfrog the Stars' Tyler Seguin and Islanders' John Tavares for the league lead in points with 12. The Ducks are still searching for a permanent mate on the top line with Getzlaf and Perry, but both figure to find a way to remain productive no matter how many players coach Bruce Boudreau cycles through at that spot.

Corey Perry
Points Piling Up For Ducks' Perry
Corey Perry, RW, ANA
9:29 AM
News: Corey Perry kept rolling Friday against the Blue Jackets, delivering a power-play goal and an assist at even strength to finish the contest with a plus-2 rating.
Analysis: With the goal -- his fourth in two nights -- Corey Perry vaulted ahead of the Rangers' Rick Nash for the league lead and also joined teammate Ryan Getzlaf atop the NHL leaderboard for points (12). Perry's nine goals in eight games represent the fastest start to a season in franchise history, making the former Hart Trophy winner a very early frontrunner to take home the hardware again in 2014-15.

Zach Trotman
Opportunity Knocks For Bruins' Trotman
Zach Trotman, D, BOS
9:26 AM
News: Zach Trotman worked on a defensive pairing with Matt Bartkowski during Friday's practice, the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Fellow recall Joe Morrow served as the Bruins' spare defenseman Friday, suggesting that Zach Trotman is likely to suit up Saturday night against Toronto. With both Kevan Miller and Zdeno Chara out, Trotman has a chance to stick with the big club in the coming weeks, though he's unlikely to produce enough offense to merit fantasy consideration.

Sami Vatanen
Ducks' Vatanen: Another Two-Point Game
Sami Vatanen, D, ANA
9:24 AM
News: Sami Vatanen was once again a force with the man-advantage in Friday's win over the Blue Jackets, contributing the game-winning goal along with an assist.
Analysis: It's the second two-point game in three games for Sami Vatanen, who has been sizzling out of the gate for the Ducks in his third NHL season. The 23-year-old has produced three goals and four assists over eight games, with all of those points coming on the power play.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Jackets' Bobrovsky Stumbles Friday
Sergei Bobrovsky, G, CLB
9:19 AM
News: Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 30 of 33 shot attempts in Friday's loss to the Ducks.
Analysis: The Blue Jackets' westward road swing hasn't been kind thus far to Sergei Bobrovsky, as he's surrendered a total of seven goals on back-to-back nights against the Sharks and Ducks, though he was able to escape with a win against San Jose. With a meeting with the reigning Stanley Cup champs in Los Angeles coming up Sunday to conclude the trip, Bobrovsky could be in for yet another tough outing.

John Gibson
Gibson Keeps Ducks Rolling Friday
John Gibson, G, ANA
9:14 AM
News: John Gibson turned away 16 of 17 shots Friday against the Blue Jackets, extending the Ducks' winning streak to seven games in the process.
Analysis: A sterling performance from his defense didn't allow John Gibson to see much work in this one, but he made the saves he needed to steer the Ducks to the win column. The steady outing was much-needed for Gibson after he was rocked for six goals in the opener against the Penguins, but it won't be enough for him to dramatically cut into Frederik Andersen's workload. After all, it was Andersen who had reeled off six straight wins to set the streak in motion in the first place.

Dennis Seidenberg
Bruins Counting On Seidenberg
Dennis Seidenberg, D, BOS
9:14 AM
News: With Zdeno Chara out, Dennis Seidenberg joined Dougie Hamilton on the Bruins' top defensive pairing in Friday's practice, the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Dennis Seidenberg, who is bouncing back from surgery that he underwent in early January to repair an ACL/MCL injury, is slowly rounding into form and with Chara out 4-6 weeks, he'll be counted on heavily to provide a shut-down presence in the coming weeks. That said, in his role as a rugged and defensively-sound defenseman for the B's, he's not likely to be much of a fantasy factor. To date, Seidenberg has yet to record a point in nine games.

Dougie Hamilton
Bruins' Hamilton Pairs With Seidenberg
Dougie Hamilton, D, BOS
9:07 AM
News: With Zdeno Chara out, Dennis Seidenberg joined Dougie Hamilton on the Bruins' top defensive pairing in Friday's practice, the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Per the Boston Herald, Dougie Hamilton took a shot off his hand during the session, but appears to be okay in advance of Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs. To date, Hamilton has notched two points in nine games, but in Chara's absence, he figures to be counted on heavily by the Bruins in the coming weeks, with an uptick in production plausible.
