Player News
Jiri Hudler
Flames' Hudler Skates Sunday Morning
Jiri Hudler, LW, CGY
5/4/2015
News: Jiri Hudler (undisclosed) was able to take part in morning skate Sunday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.
Analysis: He was also able to skate Saturday, which indicates that Jiri Hudler will likely be available for the Flames Game 2 contest Sunday night. It's possible that the large deficit the Flames faced when Hudler was initially injured played a part in his not returning to that contest.

Micheal Ferland
Flames' Ferland Will Go Sunday
Micheal Ferland, LW, CGY
5/4/2015
News: Micheal Ferland (upper body) indicated that he will play Game 2 Sunday against the Ducks, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports
Analysis: Micheal Ferland was forced out of the Ducks' Game 1 win with an upper body injury, and was not able to practice Saturday either. While he will go Sunday, the wing may still be hampered by this injury, putting his fantasy value into question a bit.

Andrew Hammond
Sens' Hammond Up For Masterton
Andrew Hammond, G, OTT
2:31 PM
News: Andrew Hammond has been nominated for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for the 2014-15 season, the Ottawa Citzen reports. The Masterton trophy is awarded to the player who represents sportsmanship, perseverance, and a dedication to hockey. Hammond is now the third Ottawa Senator nominated for an NHL player trophy this year joining teammates Mark Stone and Erik Karlsson.
Analysis: Andrew Hammond's miracle worker performance this year made the obscure goaltender into a household name. The Hamburglar's 14-1-1 regular season run vaulted the Senators into the playoffs, bumping out the perennial favorite Bruins. Hammond's disappearance from the playoffs in Game 3 versus Montreal does not diminish the young goaltender's growth and accomplishments as reinforced by the Masterton nomination. All signs point toward the free agent becoming a number one goalie for either the Senators or a team eager to have a proven workhorse goalie on their roster.

Raphael Diaz
Flames' Diaz Skates Sunday
Raphael Diaz, D, CGY
1:26 PM
News: Raphael Diaz participated in morning skate Sunday, the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: Raphael Diaz has not played since April 2nd, but with three consecutive practices under his belt, it looks like his return is near. While he won't necessarily be ready to go for Sunday night's game, it would be a surprise if he did not participate in this series.

Jason LaBarbera
Ducks' LaBarbera Will Backup Andersen
Jason LaBarbera, G, ANA
11:50 AM
News: Jason LaBarbera will be the backup goalie Sunday against the Flames for Game 2, the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Teammate John Gibson will miss the game with the flu, and Frederick Andersen will get the start. Andersen seems firmly established as the starter at this time, which really limits any fantasy value for Jason LaBarbera.

Frederik Andersen
Ducks' Andersen Will Start Game 2
Frederik Andersen, G, ANA
11:32 AM
News: Frederik Andersen will start between the pipes Sunday against the Flames, the Orange County Register reports
Analysis: Frederik Andersen started off the series on a high note, allowing just one goal in 24 shots during Game 1. He will look to have another solid performance Sunday, and figures to one of the top fantasy options for daily players as well.

Chris Wagner
Ducks' Wagner (Upper Body) Cleared For Sunday
Chris Wagner, RW, ANA
11:24 AM
News: Chris Wagner (upper body) has been cleared to play as of Sunday, Elliott Teaford of the Los Angeles News Group reports.
Analysis: It's unclear if the injury will bother Chris Wagner at all, however he averaged less than six minutes of ice time per game during the regular season, so don't expect him to have much fantasy value regardless of his health.

John Gibson
Ducks' Gibson (Illness) Scratched Sunday
John Gibson, G, ANA
11:11 AM
News: John Gibson (flu) will not be available for Sunday's Game 2 against the Flames, the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: John Gibson missed Game 1 with the same illness, but is set to to rejoin his team later Sunday. This likely means that the team thinks Gibson may be ready to return to his backup role by Game 3, and want him with the team if he does recover in time.

Corey Crawford
Hawks' Crawford In Goal Sunday
Corey Crawford, G, CHI
10:05 AM
News: Corey Crawford will start in goal Sunday against the Wild, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
Analysis: Corey Crawford struggled a bit in Chicago's Game 1 victory over the Wild, allowing 3 goals in a game that looked like it would be a blowout for the Blackhawks. He typically does well against Minnesota though, so look for Crawford to bounce back with a better performance in Game 2.

Tim Gleason
Caps' Gleason Good To Go Monday
Tim Gleason, D, WAS
9:43 AM
News: Tim Gleason had a check-up with the trainers Sunday, but expects to be good to go Monday against the Rangers, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports.
Analysis: Tim Gleason is apparently dealing with a minor injury, however it does not appear to be too severe at this time. He entered practice late Sunday, so expect him to be ready to go Monday night.
