Player News
Eric Fehr
Caps' Fehr Still Out
Eric Fehr, RW, WAS
10:13 AM
News: Eric Fehr (shoulder) won't play in Wednesday's Game 4 against the Rangers, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports.
Analysis: Coach Barry Trotz acknowledged that it might be tough to find a spot for Eric Fehr in the team's lineup right now, but that of course could change if a Caps' forward gets injured on Wednesday.

Chris Stewart
Wild's Stewart Out For Game 3
Chris Stewart, RW, MIN
10:07 AM
News: Chris Stewart (upper body) won't play Tuesday against Chicago.
Analysis: Previous reports suggested that Chris Stewart is dealing with an arm injury, but in any case, the forward is considered day-to-day by the Wild in advance of Thursday's Game 4.

Sam Bennett
Flames Stick With Bennett
Sam Bennett, C, CGY
10:00 AM
News: Sam Bennett will remain in the Flames' lineup Tuesday against the Ducks, which will mark his 10th appearance for the team.
Analysis: By playing in his 10th NHL contest, the first season of Sam Bennett's entry-level contract with the team kicks in, but the play of the 18-year-old has given the Flames no reason to take him out of their lineup. In eight playoff games to date, Bennett has tallied three goals and an assist.

Lance Bouma
Flames' Bouma Not At Practice Tuesday
Lance Bouma, LW, CGY
9:50 AM
News: Lance Bouma (upper body) was missing from practice on Tuesday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
Analysis: Lance Bouma has yet to lace up the skates in these playoffs and it looks like Tuesday night's Game 3 will be no different. It's unclear whether he will even be available for the rest of the playoffs at some point.

Cedric Paquette
Lightning's Paquette Practices Tuesday
Cedric Paquette, C, TB
8:11 AM
News: Cedric Paquette (undisclosed injury) practiced Tuesday, NHL.com's Bryan Burns reports.
Analysis: Cedric Paquette skated with Brian Boyle and Valtteri Filppula at practice Tuesday, which bodes well for his status for Wednesday's Game 3 against Montreal, though coach Jon Cooper previously indicated that the forward would be a game-time decision for the contest.

Micheal Ferland
Flames' Ferland A Possibility For Game 3
Micheal Ferland, LW, CGY
7:30 AM
News: Micheal Ferland (upper body), who didn't end up playing in Sunday's Game 2, could join the lineup for Tuesday's Game 3 against the Ducks, the Calgary Herald reports.
Analysis: Micheal Ferland indicated before Game 2 that he'd be able to play, but he was ultimately held out of the contest. Two days later, he may actually be ready to go.

Mark Giordano
Flames' Giordano Likely Out For Week
Mark Giordano, D, CGY
7:27 AM
News: Mark Giordano (biceps) is unlikely to be available this week, the Calgary Herald reports.
Analysis: Mark Giordano can seemingly be ruled out for Tuesday's Game 3 and Friday's Game 4, but he could perhaps return later in the series, if his teammates are able to extend it past four or five games.

John Gibson
Ducks' GIbson Feeling Better
John Gibson, G, ANA
7:22 AM
News: John Gibson (illness) practiced Monday and should be ready to return to his backup role for Tuesday's Game 3 against the Flames, the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: While John Gibson played pretty well this season, the Ducks are off to a 6-0 start in the playoffs with Frederik Andersen between the pipes. Andersen has thus earned himself some leeway, leaving Gibson as the clear No. 2.

Nate Schmidt
Capitals' Schmidt Reassigned To AHL Hershey
Nate Schmidt, D, WAS
6:59 AM
News: Nate Schmidt was reassigned to AHL Hershey On Tuesday.
Analysis: Nate Schmidt was recalled to provide insurance for Tim Gleason (undisclosed), who ended up playing in Monday's Game 3 win over the Rangers. If another Washington blueliner suffers an injury during the playoffs, Schmidt will likely be the first choice to join the roster.

Corey Crawford
Blackhawks' Crawford Back In For Game 3
Corey Crawford, G, CHI
12:57 AM
News: Corey Crawford will be back in the crease for Tuesday's Game 3 against the Wild, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: After delivering victories for the Blackhawks in the first two games of the series, Corey Crawford will unsurprisingly remain in the crease as his team looks to extend its playoff winning streak against the Wild to nine games. Should he struggle as the series shifts to Minnesota, Crawford probably would still have to worry about getting replaced by Scott Darling as the Blackhawks' primary netminder, but for now, coach Joel Quenneville will ride Crawford while he's playing well.
