Ondrej Pavelec
Goaltender Rotation Will Continue In Winnipeg
Ondrej Pavelec, G, WPG
12:44 PM
News: Head coach Paul Maurice has stressed that the Jets' goalie rotation between Ondrej Pavelec and Michael Hutchinson will continue after the NHL's three-day holiday break, Tim Campbell of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: Ondrej Pavelec will continue to split starts with Hutchinson for the time being. However, Pavelec has struggled as of late, losing three of his last four games while giving up at least three goals in each of those losses. Meanwhile, Hutchinson has gone 8-2-2 this season while posting a league-leading 1.67 GAA as well as a league-leading .944 save percentage. If Pavelec continues to struggle, and Hutchinson continues to dominate, Pavelec may find himself on Winnipeg's bench more often than he finds himself starting in net moving forward.

Michael Hutchinson
Goaltender Rotation To Continue In Winnipeg
Michael Hutchinson, G, WPG
12:09 PM
News: Head coach Paul Maurice has made it clear that the Jets' goalie rotation between Michael Hutchinson and Ondrej Pavelec will continue after the NHL's three-day holiday break, Tim Campbell of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: Michael Hutchinson's fantasy owners don't have to worry about Pavelec getting the majority of starts in net for the Jets moving forward, as Maurice has clearly indicated that Hutchinson and Pavelec have both performed well enough this season to warrant an even split in playing time. In fact, Maurice may ultimately be forced to give Hutchinson the majority of starts in net in the second half of the season, as he bests Pavelec in both major goaltending statistical categories. Hutchinson boasts a 1.67 GAA and a .944 save percentage, while Pavelec has posted slightly less impressive figures, with a 2.34 GAA and a .913 save percentage. If Pavelec struggles in a few key games down the stretch, Hutchinson may suddenly find himself as the primary goaltender for the Jets. Hutchinson has been phenomenal this season, and fantasy owners lucky enough to own him can plug him into their lineups with confidence each and every time he starts.

Jeff Schultz
Kings Recall Schultz
Jeff Schultz, D, LA
11:58 AM
News: Jeff Schultz was recalled from AHL Manchester on Saturday.
Analysis: The Kings had sent Jeff Schultz back to the minors following Monday's loss to the Flames. He'll be back to serve as the club's seventh defenseman for most of their games.

Jonathan Quick
Kings' Quick Expected To Start Saturday
Jonathan Quick, G, LA
11:56 AM
News: Jonathan Quick was the first goalie off the ice at the Kings' morning skate, putting him in line to start Saturday versus the Sharks, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.
Analysis: December hasn't been kind of Jonathan Quick, who has posted a .897 save percentage and 2.53 GAA over his nine prior appearances this month. Things seem to have really gone downhill for him over the past two weeks, as he's surrendered exactly four goals in three of his last four turns. Fortunately, the Los Angeles offense has caught fire in the midst of his struggles, allowing Quick's won-loss record not take too much of a hit. Even so, he doesn't exactly represent a reliable option against the surging Sharks, who have gone 8-1-1 over their last 10 contests.

Marc-Andre Fleury
Pens' Fleury Expected To Start Saturday
Marc-Andre Fleury, G, PIT
11:55 AM
News: Marc-Andre Fleury was the first goalie off the ice at practice, and is expected to start in goal Saturday against the Capitals, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports.
Analysis: Marc-Andre Fleury will look to bounce back from his last performance, in which he allowed three goals on 10 shots in just over one period of action. At that point in time Fleury was starting his fourth game in six days, and was likely fatigued as a result. The NHL's holiday break should have provided Fleury with some much needed rest leading up to his match up against the Capitals on Saturday. Fleury is an impressive 19-4-3 on the season with a 2.09 GAA and a .929 save percentage.

Henrik Lundqvist
Rangers' Lundqvist To Start Saturday's Game
Henrik Lundqvist, G, NYR
11:49 AM
News: Henrik Lundqvist will be the starter in goal for Saturday's match against the Devils, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
Analysis: Saturday's start will mark the 600th career regular-season appearance for Henrik Lundqvist, who is in the midst of his best run of the 2014-15 campaign. He's won his last six outings and has yielded only 10 goals during that span, making him as hot in any goalie in the league at present. The Rangers find themselves at the opposite end of the spectrum as the struggling Devils, who have dropped seven of their last nine games, scoring more than two goals in just one of those contests. In other words, the matchup couldn't possibly be more favorable for Lundqvist.

Devan Dubnyk
Coyotes' Dubnyk Expected To Start Saturday
Devan Dubnyk, G, ARI
11:44 AM
News: Devan Dubnyk was the first goalie off the ice at practice, and is expected to start in goal Saturday against the Ducks, Craig Morgan of FOX Sports Arizona reports.
Analysis: Devan Dubnyk is a respectable 7-3-2 on the season with a 2.65 GAA and a .920 save percentage. The 28 year old goaltender will look to build on his impressive last outing in which he stopped 26 of 27 shots in a winning effort against the Oilers.

J.T. Miller
Rangers' Miller Expected To Sit Saturday
J.T. Miller, C, NYR
11:43 AM
News: J.T. Miller is expected to serve as a healthy scratch Saturday against the Devils, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
Analysis: Lee Stempniak is now healthy after a recent bout with the mumps, and based on J.T. Miller's involvement in the morning skate, it looks like he'll be forced to head to the press box to clear the way for Stempniak's return. Miller has generally played well in December after scuffling early in the season, so coach Alain Vigneault may not be able to justify keeping him out of the lineup for long.

Lee Stempniak
Rangers' Stempniak Expected To Play Saturday
Lee Stempniak, RW, NYR
11:40 AM
News: Lee Stempniak (illness) took part in Saturday's morning skate and is expected to play against the Devils, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
Analysis: Coach Alain Vigneault said he hasn't decided yet if Lee Stempniak will replace J.T. Miller in Saturday's lineup, but given how the line arrangements played out in morning skate, it looks like Stempniak will draw back in. Stempniak hasn't played since Dec. 16 after being diagnosed with the mumps, but he was cleared to rejoin the team Tuesday and has been healthy for a few days now.

Chad Johnson
Isles' Johnson Will Backup Saturday
Chad Johnson, G, NYI
11:35 AM
News: Though it appeared he would be in line for Saturday's start versus the Sabres, Chad Johnson will serve as the backup to Kevin Poulin.
Analysis: After Jaroslav Halak (lower body) was placed on IR prior to the Isles' gameday skate, the presumption was that as Halak's top backup, Chad Johnson would assume the No. 1 post on the depth chart. However, Johnson's play has been rather porous all season, prompting coach Jack Capuano to give a shot to Poulin, who has been solid at AHL Bridgeport prior to Saturday's call-up. Halak's absence isn't expected to extend beyond Saturday's game, so there probably won't be any window for either Johnson or Poulin to enjoy much sustained run as the team's starter in any event.
