With the way Berra has struggled this season, there is a chance Pickard could stick with the Avalanche once starter Semyon Varlamov (groin) returns from injury. The 22-year-old youngster is 1-2-0 this season with a respectable .913 save percentage and 2.66 GAA.
News: Antoine Vermette scored his fifth goal of the season on the power play (and added the shootout winner) Saturday in a win over San Jose. He had two PIM, two shots, and three blocked shots in the game. Analysis: Antoine Vermette is quietly having a nice season with 14 points in 21 games with half of those coming on the power play. In leagues that are deep at the center position he can be a valuable contributor since he does some of everything.
News: David Schlemko scored his first goal of the season Saturday in a win over San Jose. He was plus-1 and added two shots, two hits, and five blocked shots in the contest. Analysis: David Schlemko now has points in consecutive games since being recalled from AHL Portland. He is trying to keep a roster spot once teammate Brandon Gormley returns from IR and games like this will certainly help.
News: Matt Lindblad was assigned was assigned to AHL Providence on Sunday. Analysis: Matt Lindblad made his season debut with the Bruins on Saturday, recording one shot on goal in 8:01 of ice time. He spent the majority of the season at AHL Providence, where he has six points (two goals, four assists) and a plus-four rating in 16 games.

News: Phillip Danault saw a little more than 11 minutes of ice time on Saturday in his NHL debut including time on the power play, CSN Chicago reports. Analysis: Blackhawks' coach Joel Quenneville was impressed with Phillip Danault's play, but will need to improve on his face-off percentage which was only 44 percent against the Oilers. "He had the puck a lot," said Quenneville. "He was around it and he was tenacious. He did a real good job." Danault will probably be up with the Hawks until Andrew Shaw returns from his upper-body injury.

Analysis: Maxim Lapierre is adding a bit more value of late from his spot on the fourth line with a goal and assist in the past five games. He can help in deep leagues where PIM and hits are helpful.

Analysis: Alexander Steen broke a six-game goalless drought and is clearly finding it challenging to get his offensive game going. More goals are probably going to come as he is putting more than three shots per game on net.
