Player News
Simon Despres
Ducks' Despres Collects Two Helpers
Simon Despres, D, ANA
12:32 PM
News: Simon Despres notched two assists in Tuesday's Game 3 loss to the Flames.
Analysis: Simon Despres continues to shine in his first playoff run with Anaheim. He now has five points -- all assists -- in his seven postseason games thus far. Despres had failed to tally any points in his meager six games of playoff experience with the Penguins. While his role on the Ducks may be limited playing behind the likes of Sami Vatanen and Hampus Lindholm, Despres should continue to see regular ice and could become a valuable fantasy producer in the coming seasons.

Frederik Andersen
Ducks' Andersen Suffers First Postseason Loss
Frederik Andersen, G, ANA
12:23 PM
News: Frederik Andersen gave up four goals on 21 shots in Tuesday's Game 3 overtime loss to the Flames.
Analysis: He and the Ducks were headed for a 3-2 victory -- assisted by a controversial no-goal call -- and a 3-0 series lead until Johnny Gaudreau scored on a power play to tie the game with 20 seconds remaining. Frederik Andersen proceeded to give up the winning goal to Mikael Backlund early in overtime. However, due to his previously unbeaten record in the playoffs, the Dane probably deserves a pass for this one. Look for Andersen to return to the cage in Calgary on Friday night for Game 4.

Kris Russell
Calgary's Russell Scores First Point Of Series
Kris Russell, D, CGY
10:01 AM
News: Kris Russell recorded an assist Tuesday, helping the Flames vanquish the Ducks 4-3 in overtime of Game 3.
Analysis: Kris Russell had not found the scoresheet in this series after tallying four points in six games against Vancouver. Calgary appears to have new life, and Russell should continue to score about a point every other game.

Dennis Wideman
Flames' Wideman Registers Assist In Victory
Dennis Wideman, D, CGY
9:59 AM
News: Dennis Wideman tallied his fourth assist of the playoffs in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime Game 3 win against the Ducks.
Analysis: Dennis Wideman and the rest of the Flames' offense finally woke up on Tuesday, facing a late deficit in a game where they could go down 3-0 in the series. After putting up a career-high 56 points in the regular season, Wideman keeps humming along with five points in nine playoff contests.

T.J. Brodie
Flames' Brodie Picks Up Fifth Point Of Playoffs
T.J. Brodie, D, CGY
9:57 AM
News: T.J. Brodie notched an assist Tuesday as the Flames took down the Ducks 4-3 in overtime of Game 3.
Analysis: T.J. Brodie continues to produce despite playing more than 26 minutes a contest, with five points in nine games. He and Dennis Wideman still bolster one of the better offensive blue line units left in the playoffs, despite the loss of Mark Giordano in February.

Joe Colborne
Calgary's Colborne Tallies Goal In Win
Joe Colborne, C, CGY
9:53 AM
News: Joe Colborne scored in Game 3 on Tuesday, picking up a goal in a 4-3 victory against Anaheim.
Analysis: Joe Colborne is known more for his tenacity than scoring ability, but he will chip in once in a while. He now has two assists and a goal in nine playoff contests.

Brandon Bollig
Flames' Bollig Nets Game 3 Goal
Brandon Bollig, LW, CGY
9:51 AM
News: Brandon Bollig lit the lamp in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime victory over the Ducks in Game 3.
Analysis: Brandon Bollig doesn't put the puck in the net all that often, but he has come up with big goals in both pivotal Game 3s in the first two rounds of the playoffs. He also has three 10-plus penalty minute games in these playoffs, more of what is his specialty.

David Desharnais
Habs' Desaharnais (Illness) A Go For Game 3
David Desharnais, C, MON
9:29 AM
News: David Desharnais (illness) will play in Game 3 on Wednesday against the Lightning, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis: David Desharnais missed Game 2 and was hospitalized due to the illness, but will return to the lineup for a pivotal Game 3 matchup. Assuming nothing occurs during the contest, he should be good to go moving forward.

Ben Bishop
Lightning's Bishop Starts Game 3
Ben Bishop, G, TB
8:24 AM
News: Ben Bishop was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate Wednesday and will start Game 3, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Ben Bishop remains the Bolts top goaltender, and is coming off a string of solid performances in net thus far in the postseason. He's bested Carey Price in the first two games of the series, and will look to do so again in Game 3 on Wednesday.

Cedric Paquette
Lightning's Paquette Game-Time Decision
Cedric Paquette, C, TB
8:19 AM
News: Cedric Paquette (undisclosed) indicated Wednesday that he's feeling better, but is still sore and is a game-time decision for Game 3, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Cedric Paquette was limited to just 4:36 of ice time in Game 2 due to the injury, and he could play even less in Game 3. Given the club's 2-0 lead in the series as it shifts back to Tampa, it wouldn't be surprising if they take things cautious with him to avoid a larger injury. He hasn't been ruled out yet, but if he can't go, the Lightning have a bevy of forwards to turn to in his place.
