News: Nicklas Jensen scored for the second straight game in Sunday's win over Florida. Analysis: Nicklas Jensen has impressed since being called up from Utica, tallying two goals, one assist, and a plus-3 rating in his first five career NHL games. With injuries to Daniel Sedin (hamstring) and Ryan Kesler (knee), the 21-year-old has been playing on the top line. It won't be too long before the youngster becomes a well-known name in fantasy hockey.
News: Matt Stajan (personal) rejoined the Flames on Monday, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports. Analysis: Matt Stajan took a leave of absence from the team for the past week after the death of his newborn son. With the support of his teammates, Stajan will attempt to move on from the devastating personal loss. He figures to be in the lineup Tuesday vs. the Sabres.
News: Coach Mike Yeo acknowledged Ilya Bryzgalov would likely start Tuesday vs. the Islanders, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Analysis: Unless Monday's starting goalie, Darcy Kuemper, is pulled early from his start against the Bruins, Ilya Bryzgalov will prepare as if he'll start Tuesday. News: The stars have reassigned Travis Morin to their AHL affiliate. Analysis: Travis Morin played one game on his call up, registering an assist and two shots through 15:36 of playing time.
News: James Neal (concussion) believes he could return to the lineup as soon as Tuesday. Analysis: "As long as I'm good all day today and if I feel good in the morning, there's no reason why I can't play Tuesday vs. Dallas," James Neal said. The Penguins sit comfortably in first place of the Metropolitan Division, but are coming off of lackluster efforts against the Flyers over the weekend. Pittsburgh plays four games this week, so even if Neal sits Tuesday then there's a shot he comes back for the other three contests.

News: Johnny Boychuk (foot) will not play Monday vs. the Wild, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports. Analysis: Coach Claude Julien said Johnny Boychuk was too sore to take part in Monday's morning skate, with the team officially ruling out the defenseman for the night shortly thereafter. Boychuk would seem to be at risk of missing Tuesday's game vs. the Devils, barring a return to close to full health overnight.
News: Martin Brodeur will be in goal Tuesday vs. the Bruins, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Analysis: After Cory Schneider was unable to break out of his slump Friday vs. the Panthers, Martin Brodeur was given the starting nod Saturday and will now make his second turn in a row. Brodeur enjoyed a nice run of playing time in light of Schneider's struggles, but he hasn't performed well enough for anyone to seriously consider him the Devils' No. 1 goalie. Brodeur still maintains usefulness in deeper leagues while he's playing fairly regularly, even if his ratios aren't overly impressive.
News: Tyler Seguin extended his point streak to five games with a goal on his only shot against the Jets on Sunday. Analysis: Seugin's streak encompasses five goals and six assists. It's been good to be a Tyler Seguin owner lately.
