Calvin Pickard
Avs' Pickard Makes 17 Saves For First NHL Win
Calvin Pickard, G, COL
12:54 PM
News: Calvin Pickard stopped all 17 of the shots he faced for his first NHL win Saturday against Carolina.
Analysis: Pikcard didn't start Saturday's game, but was called upon in the first period after starter Reto Berra was pulled. Berra gave up three goals on 10 shots, but Calvin Pickard was able to step in and help the team comeback to defeat the Canes. With the way Berra has struggled this season, there is a chance Pickard could stick with the Avalanche once starter Semyon Varlamov (groin) returns from injury. The 22-year-old youngster is 1-2-0 this season with a respectable .913 save percentage and 2.66 GAA.

Antoine Vermette
Coyotes' Vermette Scores In Victory
Antoine Vermette, C, ARI
9:33 AM
News: Antoine Vermette scored his fifth goal of the season on the power play (and added the shootout winner) Saturday in a win over San Jose. He had two PIM, two shots, and three blocked shots in the game.
Analysis: Antoine Vermette is quietly having a nice season with 14 points in 21 games with half of those coming on the power play. In leagues that are deep at the center position he can be a valuable contributor since he does some of everything.

David Schlemko
Coyotes' Schlemko Scores Saturday
David Schlemko, D, ARI
9:30 AM
News: David Schlemko scored his first goal of the season Saturday in a win over San Jose. He was plus-1 and added two shots, two hits, and five blocked shots in the contest.
Analysis: David Schlemko now has points in consecutive games since being recalled from AHL Portland. He is trying to keep a roster spot once teammate Brandon Gormley returns from IR and games like this will certainly help.

Matt Lindblad
Bruins Assign Lindblad To AHL
Matt Lindblad, C, BOS
9:29 AM
News: Matt Lindblad was assigned was assigned to AHL Providence on Sunday.
Analysis: Matt Lindblad made his season debut with the Bruins on Saturday, recording one shot on goal in 8:01 of ice time. He spent the majority of the season at AHL Providence, where he has six points (two goals, four assists) and a plus-four rating in 16 games.

Adam Clendening
Hawks' Clendening Adds Assist To Resume
Adam Clendening, D, CHI
9:27 AM
News: Adam Clendening made it two points in two games in the NHL as he contributed an assist in the 7-1 victory over the Oilers on Saturday.
Analysis: Adam Clendening assisted on a Marian Hossa second period goal. He scored a goal in his debut on Thursday against the Flames. In addition his ice minutes increase from a little below 11 minutes on Thursday to almost 20 minutes against the Oilers on Saturday. It probably helped that the game was out of control early on allowing Hawks' coach Joel Quenneville to play as many players as he wanted to preserve the top players. Clendening was called up earlier this week after Trevor van Riemsdyk landed on the injury reserve with a leg injury.

Phillip Danault
Hawks' Danault Gets Good Reviews In Debut
Phillip Danault, LW, CHI
9:20 AM
News: Phillip Danault saw a little more than 11 minutes of ice time on Saturday in his NHL debut including time on the power play, CSN Chicago reports.
Analysis: Blackhawks' coach Joel Quenneville was impressed with Phillip Danault's play, but will need to improve on his face-off percentage which was only 44 percent against the Oilers. "He had the puck a lot," said Quenneville. "He was around it and he was tenacious. He did a real good job." Danault will probably be up with the Hawks until Andrew Shaw returns from his upper-body injury.

Maxim Lapierre
Blues' Lapierre Scores First Of Season
Maxim Lapierre, C, STL
9:10 AM
News: Maxim Lapierre scored his first goal of the season Saturday in a win over Ottawa. He was plus-1 and took three shots on the night.
Analysis: Maxim Lapierre is adding a bit more value of late from his spot on the fourth line with a goal and assist in the past five games. He can help in deep leagues where PIM and hits are helpful.

Alexander Steen
Blues' Steen Scores In Win; Ends Drought
Alexander Steen, LW, STL
9:06 AM
News: Alexander Steen scored his fourth goal of the season Saturday in a win over the Senators. He was plus-1 and took seven shots in the contest.
Analysis: Alexander Steen broke a six-game goalless drought and is clearly finding it challenging to get his offensive game going. More goals are probably going to come as he is putting more than three shots per game on net.

Jaden Schwartz
Blues' Schwartz Picks Up Assist Saturday
Jaden Schwartz, LW, STL
8:58 AM
News: Jaden Schwartz had an assist Saturday in a win over Ottawa. He was plus-1 and added a hit in the victory.
Analysis: Jaden Schwartz and his linemates on the STL line (Jori Lehtera and Vladimir Tarasenko) are on fire right now. Schwartz is now up to 20 points and plus-10 in 20 games.

Jori Lehtera
Blues' Lehtera Has Assist In Win Saturday
Jori Lehtera, C, STL
8:48 AM
News: Jori Lehtera picked up an assist Saturday in a win over Ottawa. He was plus-1, took two shots, and added a hit in the contest.
Analysis: Jori Lehtera and teammates Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko remain as hot as any line in the league. The 26 year-old Finn is having a great rookie season with 19 points and a plus-13 in 19 games.
