Player News
Jonas Hiller
Flames' Hiller To Start Sunday
Jonas Hiller, G, CGY
4/19/2015
News: Jonas Hiller will be between the pipes for Game 3 of the Flames' playoff series against the Canucks, Roger Millions of Sportsnet reports.
Analysis: Despite being pulled in Game 2 after allowing three goals on 29 shots, the Flames will once again turn to Jonas Hiller for Game 3 of the series. If he continues to struggle, Calgary may have to consider giving Karri Ramo a shot in net in Game 4.

Scott Darling
Hawks' Darling To Start Sunday
Scott Darling, G, CHI
4/19/2015
News: Scott Darling will be between the pipes for Game 3 on Sunday against the Predators, Mark Lazerus of The Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis: It isn't a huge surprise, as Corey Crawford has struggled in back-to-back starts, allowing nine goals on 47 shots over that span. Scott Darling, on the other hand, was phenomenal in relief of Crawford in Game 1 of the series, turning away every one of Nashville's 42 shots en route to a 4-3 double-overtime victory. He'll look to build on that outstanding performance on Sunday.

Mathieu Perreault
Jets' Perreault (Lower Body) Game Time Decision
Mathieu Perreault, C, WPG
4/19/2015
News: Mathieu Perreault (lower body) skated Saturday morning and is considered a game-time decision for Game 2 against the Ducks, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Mathieu Perreault is still recovering from a lower body injury he sustained on Apr. 9. Although he's reportedly close to returning to the Jets' lineup, he may have to wait until Game 3 on Monday to do so, as he remains a true game-time decision for Saturday's Game 2. The Jets will provide an update on his status prior to puck drop on Saturday.

Matt Cooke
Wild's Cooke To Play Saturday
Matt Cooke, LW, MIN
4/19/2015
News: Matt Cooke will suit up on Saturday for Game 2 of the Wild's first-round playoff matchup with St. Louis, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: Matt Cooke hasn't played since Feb. 1, and has been plagued by injury for much of the season. He leads the Wild in career playoff games (103), and will add a veteran presence to Minnesota's lineup.

Tomas Fleischmann
Ducks' Fleischmann To Be Healthy Scratch Saturday
Tomas Fleischmann, LW, ANA
4:07 PM
News: Tomas Fleischmann will be a healthy scratch Saturday against Winnipeg, The Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Tomas Fleischmann was also a healthy scratch for Thursday's series opener. The Ducks will likely go with Andrew Cogliano, Rickard Rakell, and Jakob Silfverberg on the third line.

Corey Crawford
Hawks' Crawford Benched For Game 3
Corey Crawford, G, CHI
3:58 PM
News: Corey Crawford will backup Scott Darling in goal for Game 3 against Nashville at home on Sunday, Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: Hawks' coach Joel Quenneville said that the starting goalie will be decided on a game-by-game basis. Corey Crawford has not been good in goal in the first two games of this series to Nashville, but also dating back to the Stanley Cup Western Conference finals last season. In his last eight playoff games, Crawford has allowed an average of 4.5 goals per game. He has allowed at least three goals in each game during that stretch against the Kings and Predators. In this series with the Predators, the Blackhawks defense though has not helped him out by allowing Nashville to park in front of Crawford. It's doubtful that Quenneville will completely go away from Crawford who has been solid the last few years for the Blackhawks, but the Blackhawks need to win both Games 3 and 4 at home.

Braden Holtby
Caps' Holtby (Illness) Expected To Return Sunday
Braden Holtby, G, WAS
3:58 PM
News: Head coach Barry Trotz said he expects Braden Holtby (illness) to start for Sunday's matinee against the Islanders, Chuck Gormley of CSN Washington reports.
Analysis: Braden Holtby was expected to start for Friday night's Game 2, but was still feeling the effects of an as yet unknown illness. Back on the ice for practice Saturday, Holtby said he felt much better, and at this point appears the likely starter for Game 3 on Sunday. However, Phillip Grubauer played well in Holtby's absence, stopping 18 of 21 shots in Washington's win on Friday, so while Holtby's chances of playing Sunday look good, nothing has been set in stone yet, so check back prior to puck drop.

James Wisniewski
Ducks' Wisniewski Out Saturday
James Wisniewski, D, ANA
3:32 PM
News: James Wisniewski will not take the ice Saturday against Winnipeg, the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: James Wisniewski was a healthy scratch in game one and will remain out for the second game of the Ducks' series against the Jets. Clayton Stoner and Sami Vatanen are expected to comprise Anaheim's third defensive pairing.

Justin Abdelkader
Red Wings' Abdelkader Expected To Return Tuesday
Justin Abdelkader, LW, DET
3:18 PM
News: Justin Abdelkader (hand) is expected to play in Tuesday's game three against Tampa Bay, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Justin Abdelkader has been dealing with a hand injury since Apr. 5 in Detroit's game against Minnesota and has not played since that contest. He skated in a non-contact jersey Friday and appears to be on track for a return to the ice Tuesday.

Petr Mrazek
Red Wings' Mrazek To Start Game Three
Petr Mrazek, G, DET
3:07 PM
News: Petr Mrazek will start game three against the Lightning on Tuesday, Joe McDonald of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Petr Mrazek was pulled for the third period of Saturday's 5-1 loss. He allowed four goals on 18 shots through two periods before being replaced by Jimmy Howard in the third. Despite Saturday's rough outing, coach Mike Babcock will stick with Mrazek in net for game three.
