Tobias Enstrom
Jets' Enstrom Sets Up Two Goals In Loss
Tobias Enstrom, D, WPG
12:07 PM
News: Tobias Enstrom assisted on both of the Jets' two goals in Friday's loss to Tampa Bay.
Analysis: Tobias Enstrom now has six points (all assists) in seven games this season, to go with a minus-1 rating. Playing the point on the top power-play unit and averaging 23:49 of ice time per game, Enstrom will continue to produce offense. After a somewhat disappointing 30-point season in 2013-14, expect Enstrom to return to the 40-50 point range in 2014-15.

Leon Draisaitl
Oilers' Draisaitl Grabs First Career Goal
Leon Draisaitl, C, EDM
8:38 AM
News: Leon Draisaitl tallied his first career goal in Friday's 6-3 victory over the Hurricanes.
Analysis: The goal would go down as the game-winner on the night, as Leon Draisaitl scooped up his own rebound and backhanded the puck into the net to give the Oilers a 4-3 lead with 7:05 left in the contest. Draisaitl has looked raw for the most part in his eight contests with the Oilers, but he's begun to hit his stride over the last two games, contributing two points and seven shots on goal. After Draisaitl plays his next game Monday against the Habs, the Oilers will have a tough decision to make in choosing to either keep the rookie with the parent club for the entire season, or send him down to his junior team, WHL Prince Albert.

Semyon Varlamov
Avs' Varlamov Makes 26 Saves For First Win
Semyon Varlamov, G, COL
8:35 AM
News: Semyon Varlamov made 26 saves on 29 shots in Friday's win over the Canucks.
Analysis: It was the first win of the season for Semyon Varlamov, who got loads of offensive support in the blowout victory. Varlamov is an elite goaltender, and if the young Avalanche team in front of him can get going, expect him to rack up the wins -- much like he did last season.

Jordan Eberle
Oilers' Eberle Contributes Three Points Friday
Jordan Eberle, RW, EDM
8:32 AM
News: Jordan Eberle broke out with two goals and an assist in Friday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes.
Analysis: The goals were Jordan Eberle's long-awaited first two of the season, a welcome relief for a player who found the net 28 times in 2013-14. His first tally involved an impressive bit of work on both ends of the ice, as he picked off a Jay Harrison pass before finishing the possession off with a score on a 2-on-1 with teammate Taylor Hall. Despite the goal drought, Eberle has distributed the puck well enough in the Oilers' previous contests to keep him producing at close to a point-per-game clip on the season.

Marc Methot
Sens' Methot Not Expected To Travel
Marc Methot, D, OTT
8:28 AM
News: Marc Methot (back) is not expected to travel with the team on their upcoming road trip, Ian Mendes of TSN 1200 reports.
Analysis: Marc Methot has been skating recently, but hasn't been doing hockey related drills, and still has yet to be cleared for contact. The Sens will return home Thursday against the Blackhawks, but it seems unlikely that Methot will be available for that game at this point.

Erik Johnson
Avs' Johnson Scores On Power Play In Win
Erik Johnson, D, COL
8:27 AM
News: Erik Johnson netted a power-play goal, added an assist, and was a plus-2 in Friday's win over Vancouver.
Analysis: Erik Johnson only had one point entering Friday's game, but the blueliner played a key role in the blowout victory over the Canucks. Johnson continues to log big minutes at even strength and on the power play, meaning his production should begin to pick up. If the Avalanche start scoring more, as they did Friday, Johnson should start appearing on the scoresheet more frequently.

Ben Scrivens
Scrivens Leads Oilers To Third Straight Win
Ben Scrivens, G, EDM
8:26 AM
News: Ben Scrivens recorded his third consecutive victory Friday against the Hurricanes, stopping 27 of 30 shots in the 6-3 win.
Analysis: Ben Scrivens performed a little less steadily against the Hurricanes than he did earlier in the week in wins over the Capitals and Lightning, but he didn't require his best effort to dispatch the league's only winless team. The goalie seems to be settling in nicely after a horrendous first three outings of 2014-15, which continue to keep his season GAA above 3.00 and save percentage below .900, despite the winning streak.

Anton Khudobin
Hurricanes' Khudobin Flops Friday
Anton Khudobin, G, CAR
8:22 AM
News: Anton Khudobin surrendered five goals on 28 shots faced in Friday's 6-3 loss to Edmonton.
Analysis: Just when Anton Khudobin seemed poised to supplant Cam Ward as the Hurricanes' No. 1 goalie once and for all, he turned in a stinker of a performance to cast further doubt on the team's netminding situation. After a respectable first two periods, Khudobin fell apart in the final 20 minutes, turning a 2-2 game into a laugher. The loss dropped Khudobin to 0-3-1 on the season and gave the winless Hurricanes more questions than answers.

Robin Lehner
Sens' Lehner Will Start Saturday
Robin Lehner, G, OTT
8:20 AM
News: Robin Lehner will get the call between the pipes against the Devils on Saturday, Brent Wallace of TSN reports.
Analysis: Robin Lehner will get a second consecutive start Saturday, and has been stellar in both appearances so far this year. He's 2-0-0 to date, and has allowed just four goals on 80 shots over all. Craig Anderson is expected to start Sunday's game against the Blackhawks in the second of back-to-back games.

Tyson Barrie
Avs' Barrie Nabs Three Assists In Win
Tyson Barrie, D, COL
8:18 AM
News: Tyson Barrie collected a trio of assists in Friday's win over Vancouver.
Analysis: After a slow start, Tyson Barrie has cranked up the offense, recording a goal and four assists in his last three games. Skating on the Avs' lethal power play, Barrie should surpass the career-high 38 points he recorded in 2013-14.
