Player News
Mika Zibanejad
Zibanejad Helps Sens Past Ducks
Mika Zibanejad, C, OTT
12:59 PM
News: Mika Zibanejad scored his ninth goal of the season, had an assist, was credited with four shots on goal, and was a plus-3 in Friday's win over the Ducks.
Analysis: An all-around great fantasy night for Mika Zibanejad, who now has 17 points in 30 games on the season. After a slow start, Zibanejad has heated up, recording six goals and 11 points in his last nine games. Skating on the second line with Bobby Ryan, the 21-year-old could hit the 25-goal mark in 2014-15, making him worthy of a look right now.

Erik Karlsson
Sens' Karlsson Collects Two Assists In Win
Erik Karlsson, D, OTT
12:27 PM
News: Erik Karlsson collected a pair of helpers in Friday's win over Anaheim.
Analysis: Erik Karlsson now has points in two straight games after being held off the scoresheet in his previous three game. The 24-year-old has seven goals and 23 points in 32 games on the season, to go with a minus-12 rating. He sits second in the NHL with 124 shots on goal and is one of the best offensive defenseman in the game. Keep him rolling.

Kyle Turris
Sens' Turris Remains Hot Friday
Kyle Turris, C, OTT
12:09 PM
News: Kyle Turris remained red-hot on Friday, scoring a highlight-reel shorthanded goal and adding an assist in a win over the Ducks.
Analysis: Kyle Turris has been lighting it up lately, riding a five-game point streak in which he has recorded three goals and seven points. With 23 points (seven goals) in 32 games, the 25-year-old is proving to be a reliable fantasy option this season. He has scored the game-winning goal in back-to-back games and has never gone more than three games without appearing on the scoresheet. His consistency and top-line role makes him worth a look right now.

Alexander Semin
'Canes Rule Out Semin For Saturday
Alexander Semin, RW, CAR
9:36 AM
News: Alexander Semin (lower body) has been ruled out for a return to action Saturday against the Rangers, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Analysis: Alexander Semin participated in Saturday's morning session and looks to be close to playing, but coach Bill Peters opted to hold him out for an additional day. It's possible the Hurricanes wanted to avoid returning him to action amid a back-to-back scenario, so it wouldn't be especially surprising if he was activated in time for Sunday's rematch with the Rangers in New York. Though Semin's return is near, he's not worthy of a speculative add, as he amassed just one goal and six points in 21 games before landing on IR.

Cam Ward
Canes' Ward Confirmed As Saturday Starter
Cam Ward, G, CAR
9:32 AM
News: Coach Bill Peters confirmed that Cam Ward would make the start in goal Saturday against the Rangers, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Analysis: Though Cam Ward will get the call Saturday, don't be surprised if he's rested when the Hurricanes and Rangers get together in New York on Sunday. That start will likely go to backup Anton Khudobin, who has yet to record a win in his nine starts this season.

Marc-Andre Fleury
Pens' Fleury In Line To Start Saturday
Marc-Andre Fleury, G, PIT
9:25 AM
News: Marc-Andre Fleury was the first goalie off the ice at the Penguins' morning skate and is thus in line to start Saturday's game against the Panthers, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis: Marc-Andre Fleury is coming off his NHL-best sixth shutout of the season his last time out Thursday against the Avalanche, which also earned him his third straight victory. His stellar play hasn't dipped much since signing a long-term extension with the Penguins in November, as he enters Saturday's contest with a 18-4-2 record, 2.01 GAA and .930 save percentage.

Devan Dubnyk
Coyotes' Dubnyk To Get Starting Nod Saturday
Devan Dubnyk, G, ARI
9:19 AM
News: Devan Dubnyk will be between the pipes for Saturday's matinee tilt with the Penguins, Craig Morgan of FOX Sports Arizona reports.
Analysis: It's the third straight start for Devan Dubnyk, who has earned the trust of coach Dave Tippett for the time being by garnering three of a possible four points in his last two turns. His (relatively) hot hand will make him the Coyotes' No. 1 goalie for now, but the team's larger financial commitment to Mike Smith likely makes Dubnyk an unsafe bet to remain atop the depth chart for the rest of the season. Dubnyk has gone 6-2-2 with a respectable 2.56 GAA and .922 save percentage over his 12 appearances.

Paul Martin
Pens' Martin Scratched With Likely Injury Saturday
Paul Martin, D, PIT
9:08 AM
News: Paul Martin will be scratched for Saturday's game against the Panthers, presumably due to an undisclosed injury, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis: It's unclear what might be ailing Paul Martin, who played a whopping 25:58 in Thursday's shutout win over the Avalanche, more than three minutes above his average ice time for the season. He wasn't present for Saturday's morning skate and will be forced to the press box for the first time this season along with fellow top-four blueliner Christian Ehrhoff (lower body). Consider Martin day-to-day for the moment, with more word likely to come about his condition by the end of Saturday.

James Neal
Preds' Neal To Sit Saturday With Illness
James Neal, LW, NSH
9:03 AM
News: James Neal is dealing with an illness and will not play Saturday against the Wild, Eric Stromgren of The Tennessean reports.
Analysis: The Predators haven't provided any word on whether or not James Neal is dealing with the dreaded mumps virus, but did suggest that the winger could be a possibility for Monday's game against the Blue Jackets or Tuesday's tilt in Boston. After an injury-plagued 2013-14 campaign, Neal hasn't missed any previous time in his first season in Nashville, producing 19 points in 30 games.

Craig Adams
Iron Man Streak Ends For Pens' Adams
Craig Adams, RW, PIT
8:54 AM
News: Craig Adams will miss Saturday's game against the Panthers with an undisclosed injury, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis: The injury will result in Craig Adams' streak of consecutive games played end at an incredible 319. The fourth-liner doesn't offer much in the form of offense, but his contributions as a hitter and penalty-killer make him a valued member of the Penguins. Andrew Ebbett will attempt to fill his skates Saturday.
