News: Kris Letang (illness) has been cleared for full practice participation. Analysis: Kris Letang is slated to practice Monday, which is a major step toward his potential return to action after suffering a stroke in January, though at this stage there is no timetable on that front outlined by the Penguins.
News: Brayden Schenn scored a goal, collected two PIM, and added four hits for good measure in Sunday's 4-3 win over Pittsburgh. Analysis: Brayden Schenn has stepped up his offensive game recently. In the 10 games before the Olympic break, he managed just two points and two PIM. Since that break, he's already notched five points and four PIM in just eight games. He could offer some value in deeper leagues, especially if the Flyers can continue the momentum from this weekend's wins against Pittsburgh.
News: Roberto Luongo will start in goal Sunday against the Canucks, Erin Brown of FOX Sports Florida reports. Analysis: Roberto Luongo will mind the net in search of his 22nd win of the season, and third since joining Florida.
News: Braydon Coburn went pointless in Sunday's 4-3 win over Pittsburgh. Analysis: While his plus-minus rating has been gradually climbing over the last 10 games, he's got just four points and two PIM in that stretch. Even though the Flyers' defense has been playing better as of late, without consistent points or PIM, it's hard to see why Braydon Coburn warrants a start in most leagues.
News: Dustin Tokarski stopped all 29 shots he faced in a shutout win over the Sabres on Sunday. Analysis: Dustin Tokarski has won both of his starts so far, but with both Carey Price and Peter Budaj around, he isn't likely to get to play very much.
News: Jonathan Quick (illness) was able to practice Sunday, the LA Kings Insider reports. Analysis: Jonathan Quick's presence at Sunday's skate is a good sign for his availability Monday.
News: Mason Raymond picked up an assist Sunday in a loss to the Capitals. He's riding a three-game, four-point scoring streak. Analysis: He has one goal and three helpers in that span. And seven points, including four goals, in his last 10 outings. It's solid output for those of you in deeper leagues.
News: Matt Duchene continued his torrid scoring pace Sunday, dishing out two assists en route to a 3-1 victory over Ottawa. Analysis: The Matt Duchene Train got right back on track in Ottawa after briefly pulling into the station last game when he was held pointless for the first time in nine outings. Duchene is solidifying himself as a legitimate point-per-game stud and continues to show that he relishes the role of carrying his team in the absence of Paul Stastny and P.A. Parenteau. Unless you selected him in the top 15-20 picks of your draft, you got way more than your money's worth. He now has 42 assists - two more than his previous career-high - to go with his 22 goals in 65 games.
News: Andre Benoit scored again Sunday, notching his sixth of the year as the Avs handed Ottawa a 3-1 loss. Analysis: After lighting the lamp just twice in his first 56 games in the Bergundy and Blue, Benny has racked up an eye-opening four goals in the last nine games. Before this year, he had only played in 41 NHL games, recording 11 points in the process. By contrast, in his first full NHL season with the Avalanche, he has put up a respectable 24 points in 66 games - third among Avs defencemen behind Erik Johnson and rookie Tyson Barrie. Most notably, while paying his dues in 319 AHL games, he scored at a rate of 0.54 points-per game with 173 in 319 games. In short, the 5'11 blueliner should be on your radar for next year and could be worth an immediate add if you're hurting on the back end.
