| Fantasy Analysis |
D'Agostini has just four points and a minus-11 in 36 games this season. He remains just an option in deeper keeper leagues for now. Seasonal owners should stay well away. (Updated 02/02/2010).

| One thing the Canadiens were not short of in 2008-09 was injuries. Because they were ravished by injury in the first few months of the season, the Montreal front office had to get creative with the roster. One of their better transactions, at least initially, was recalling D'Agostini from Hamilton of the AHL. At the time of his recall (Nov. 28), the 2005 sixth-round pick led Hamilton with 14 goals and was third in the AHL with 25 points. D'Agostini carried that momentum to the NHL. He scored in four of his first five games with Montreal and had eight points in his first 14 contests. He led the Canadiens with six goals and 39 shots in December. Too bad the remainder of the season didn't go as smoothly for the rookie forward. D'Agostini posted no more than five points in a month the rest of the year and was even at minus-7 twice. D'Agostini had a team-low minus-17 rating, while finishing with 12 goals and 21 points in 53 games. He definitely looked more like a sixth-round pick down the stretch. The Habs re-signed D'Agostini for one year in the offseason, but we aren't sure what to expect from the 22-year-old forward in his first season under Jacques Martin. He has very low-end Fantasy appeal. (Updated 8/23/09) |
