05/05/2013 00:54 Quick's 30 saves essential as Kings take down St. Louis
Jonathan Quick made 30 saves in his fifth career playoff shutout, leading the Los Angeles Kings to a 1-0 victory over St. Louis on Saturday night and trimming the Blues' series lead to 2-1.
Dwight King spent the first half of last season down in the AHL before earning a callup to the Kings in February. He played fairly well (14 points in 27 games) in a fourth-line role and capped off his season with four goals in the Western Conference Finals. He clicked alongside Jarret Stoll in the playoffs and could see most of his time alongside Stoll again in a third-line role. He's never topped more than 24 goals in the AHL so don't expect much more than a dozen or so goals even if his role expands a bit. (Updated 8/14/12)
