Hurricanes call up Borer
(4/8/10) The Hurricanes have called up D Casey Borer from the AHL.
Borer gets a two-way contract
(7/8/09) The Hurricanes re-signed defenseman Casey Borer and goalie Justin Peters to one-year, two-way contracts Wednesday. "The upcoming season is important for both Casey and Justin," assistant GM Jason Karmanos said. "Justin made big strides last year in Albany, and now it is time for him to take his game to the next level and show that he can be an NHL goaltender. Casey is coming off of a second consecutive season-ending injury, so it will be important for him to re-establish his defensive game so that he can once again play at the NHL level."
Borer back with Albany (AHL)
(12/14/08) Hurricanes D Tim Gleason was activated from the injured list Saturday against the Rangers after he missed eight games due to a leg injury. D Casey Borer was reassigned to Albany (AHL).
Borer sent back to AHL
(2/21/08) The Hurricanes have sent D Casey Borer back to Albany of the AHL on Thursday. The move follows the return of Bret Hedican to the lineup.
Borer scores in second game
(1/4/08) The Hurricanes pulled even at 3 late in the second period Friday against the Thrashers on Casey Borer's first NHL goal, a shot through Kari Lehtonen's legs after a pass from Keith Aucoin. Borer also had an assist and finished at plus-1.
