Fantasy Analysis
A deep playoff run and some injuries could change Scott Parse's fate but it would seem unlikely that he'll lace up the skates again this season before hitting the free agent market this summer. (Updated 04/20/2012).
10/30/2011 22:31 Avalanche sneak by Kings for first home win
Semyon Varlamov stopped 29 shots, Matt Duchene scored an early third period goal and the Colorado Avalanche beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 Sunday night for their first home win of the season.
Parse battled both hip and groin injuries from the start of training camp and never got back to full health, appearing in just five games for the Kings. The offseason acquisitions of Simon Gagne and Mike Richards figure to keep Parse off either of the top two scoring lines as he looks to rebound from last year's injury-filled campaign. A 15-goal season isn't out of the question if he can work his way onto a scoring line. (Updated 10/4/11)
