Fantasy Analysis
That certainly seems like an itchy trigger finger by coach Darryl Sutter, pulling his Vezina candidate after the guy had given up just two goals. Jonathan Bernier stopped all 11 in relief, but Los Angeles couldn't come back. There's no word on any injury to Jonathan Quick, so this can be filed under "B" for bizarre. (Updated 02/09/2012).

02/03/2012 22:34 Halak, Blues shut out Kings

02/02/2012 01:10 Kings edge Jackets with last-second goal
Drew Doughty scored a power-play goal with one second remaining in the game, lifting the Los Angeles Kings to a 3-2 victory over the last-place Columbus Blue Jackets Wednesday after an eight-day break.
Quick (35 wins, 2.24 GAA, .918 save percentage) topped 35 wins for the second straight year despite a slightly reduced workload. He'll enter training camp as the team's No. 1 goalie, but figures to get pushed for playing time by backup Jonathan Bernier if he starts slowly. Bernier's emergence could further cut into Quick's starts but it's still his job to lose if he plays well on what figures to be a playoff-bound Kings squad. (Updated 10/4/11)
