Fantasy Analysis
Surgery is likely for Matt Kassian, but barring any unforeseen issues, he has plenty of time to recover before the Wild pick things up again for next season. The rugged Kassian finishes up the 2011-12 campaign with two goals and 55 PIMs in 24 games. (Updated 03/28/2012).

David Desharnais scored in regulation and in a shootout as the Montreal Canadiens pulled out a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Wild, despite blowing a three-goal lead in the third period Thursday.
Kassian is a bruising forward always willing to drop the mitts. The 6-foot-4, 232-pound Canadian produced a whopping 459 penalty minutes in 194 games with the Houston Aeros (AHL) over the past four seasons. He also made his debut with the Wild in 2010, having made four appearances with the parent club. Even if Kassian gets more playing time this season, his role is not likely to stretch beyond that of a fourth-line enforcer. (Updated 8/16/11)
