Fantasy Analysis
His right wrist needed repair for torn cartilage; his left required the removal of bone spurs. He still managed to deliver 17 points in 10 postseason contests, a tally good enough to still stand Saturday as the league's best thus far. No worries for next season; he'll be as good as new. 05/26/2012 10:58 Claude Giroux finally lost the playoff scoring lead
It was a good run, but Flyers forward Claude Giroux finally lost his spot on top of the NHL postseason scoring race. He was leading the league until Friday night, despite having not played a game in three weeks.
Giroux had his breakthrough season with career highs in nearly every category, including goals (25), assists (51), points (76), PIMs (47) and plus-minus (plus-20). And at 23 years of age, it's possible that Giroux still has some sizable upside left to realize. He'll likely center the Flyers' second line behind Daniel Briere this season. (Updated 10/4/11)
