Fantasy Analysis
He left Wednesday's win over Edmonton in the second period with a charley horse and was said to be doubtful for the game Thursday, but must have been able to participate in Friday's morning skate. (Updated 12/02/2011).
02/02/2012 23:53 Backstrom, Wild shut out Avalanche
Niklas Backstrom had 37 saves for his third shutout of the season and 25th of his NHL career, and Greg Zanon scored in the Minnesota Wild's 1-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night.
The Wild traded for Powe (from Philadelphia) this past offseason, and quickly signed him to a three-year deal. Powe is limited in terms of what he can do with the puck, but he should be able to improve Minnesota's penalty-killing unit that has been mediocre the past couple of seasons. As a role player, Powe will not be coveted in most fantasy leagues in 2011-12. (Updated 8/16/11)
