Fantasy Analysis
Mike Rupp was easily the most unlikely source of offense on the ice, having posted just one goal in 14 games this season. Any offense the Rangers get from the veteran grinder is a bonus to his checking presence on the ice. Both goals were snapshots from well away from the crease. (Updated 01/02/2012).

Martin Brodeur made 27 saves and survived a third-period punch to the chest by old buddy Mike Rupp as the New Jersey Devils defeated the New York Rangers 3-1 in Game 4 to even the Eastern Conference finals Monday night.
The Rangers signed Rupp to replace the late Derek Boogard as their enforcer. He offers some toughness, size and can play decently alongside top-line players, but this combination doesn't help fantasy owners very much. (Updated 10/4/11)
