Kulemin, Islanders bust out again in 7-4 win over Flyers
UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) No one expected the New York Islanders to head into their All-Star break on top of the Eastern Conference - not even coach Jack Capuano.
|Kyle Okposo was nothing short of fantastic last season with 27 goals and 69 points, the best season so far of his career. What makes these numbers even more impressive is that the Islanders lost John Tavares for the season due to a knee injury during the Olympics - and that didn't even slow him down. Fantasy owners are bound to wonder what Okposo can do playing a full season with Tavares. Is a 30+ goal season out of the question? No, the Islanders have their issues but scoring shouldn't be one of them. Okposo will be relied upon to take some of the pressure off of Tavares. He will more than likely be a top 20 winger come draft time. (Updated 8/13/14) |
